DISHONEST - STAY AWAY!!

My sister had a bad experience but gave them a chance. BIG MISTAKE. Very dishonest people who will say anything to get you in the door. Don't believe anything they say or any letter they send you. Overheard 2 salesman talking about how a guy came in too early so they were not ready to "work him". STAY AWAY!!

2016 Jeep Renegade

OK experience

I liked that I was given priority and advised to make a deposit on the car to secure it since people were also making enquiries about the car. However, I wasn't thrilled about the sales process. The sales rep seemed quite evasive, and he didn't sit with me to give any further details about the car I was looking to buy whatsoever. Overall it was an ok experience.

I purchased a 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock from Darren on Saturday. I was in the market for a Jeep, and coincidentally passed the dealership on an errand, so figured I'd stop in to Zeigler's to check out their pricing and compare it to 2 other Jeep dealers I had been in contact with. I told Darren that I was serious about buying the car "very soon" and didn't want to play games. Darren brought up the Wrangler to briefly look at the specific car, and discussed pricing. He provided pricing, and gave me better pricing on the Wrangler, and, better pricing for my trade, compared to other FCA dealers site unseen. I was in the dealership for about 40 minutes. I told Darren that I would bring my trade-in later that afternoon to get a specific appraisal. We chatted on the phone for about 15 minutes providing details on my other offers and agreed to move forward. Later in the afternoon, I brought in my trade, and was OUT THE DOOR in less than 1 hour. I do have to say this was a very easy process. I am bringing the Wrangler in later this week to add a rear backup camera, which Darren quoted at a much lower rate compared to the other FCA dealers as well. I will rate the Service as well when complete. If you do need a Jeep or Dodge, I'd highly recommend Darren at Zeigler.

WASTE OF TIME

this dealership advertised 2 vehicles that I was interested. took time off of work to call them at 9am to inquire about availability and specs. I was told that someone would have to physically look at the cars and call me back. 1 hour later, I did get a call back to inform me that one of the vehicles was sold. I told them I was on my way to look at the other car that they were advertising on multiple web sites. When I got there, found that the mileage that they advertised the car with was incorrect. Also found upon arrival that the car supposedly had a deposit placed on it and was not for sale. What a waste of time, energy, fuel and tolls. Someone put a deposit on the car an hour after getting off the phone with them? really?

Great Service Experience

I service my jeep at Zeigler and have always had a great experience. First off, they have a great customer lounge with large TV's, internet and monitors that show the service bay. I can watch as my jeep is being serviced. Everyone is extremely friendly and they always get my jeep in and out in the time frame promised. When I do have any questions, I feel like they always spend the time with me to answer everything. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Great sales staff

Ken A. was a great sales associate! We were treated like family, very honest and not at all pushy. Only reason for 4of5 starts, was due to website. Vehicle pictured was not actual picture of vehicle, and description of option packages didn't match actual options(Stated 17" rims in opening part, but showed 20" rims in lower description, etc.) Although I was initially disappointed at seeing the vehicle, I did purchase it, and found I liked the one I bought better than the one pictured! We stretched our budget to extremes, Ken did everything he could to keep us in our budget, and we were offered, but not pushed into any further sales. All in all a great dealer experience.

My salesman Viente kept his word not only did my credit score go from a 412 to 600 in a year but most importantly.. He kept his word because I kept mine....He told me a year ago to trust him and that the car he put me in was only a credit builder...he told me to keep it for a year and to be sure to pay my carnote on time and keep up with the oil changes and stuff and Ill be in something better next year (4/25/2016) I just want to say Thank You Viente... I also want to thank the finance manager Derrick for working his magic to help tie it all together..Thank you thank you thank you Derrick!!!!! Both you and Viente are Amazing at what you guys do.

$55K on a Jeep and they still took advantage!!!

This was the WORST New vehicle purchase experience of my life. We were lied to by every person we dealt with from the Sales Rep., to the Sales Manager, to the Finance Guy, to the GM, and eventually the owners in Michigan. They all lied and would not take any kind of accountability for their actions and rather played dumb or refused to even contact you back when faced with these real issues. There were recalls they did not divulge even during the manufacturing process, manufacturing defects they have still not fixed or even responded to about fixing them, they lied about the delivery, they screwed up our title and our names being entered wrong or left off entirely. Last they all to date have refused to even compensate us for their lies and misrepresentation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! Go to another dealership that is worthy of earning your business and will follow through with the truth. Remember we drive the most precious cargo in these vehicles: our children, parents, friends, and our selves on a daily basis. What else have they lied to us about we cannot risk our lives our the lives of our loved ones!!! I hope this dealership goes out of business!

I stopped by because a friend of mine got a great deal on a new Jeep at Ziegler. I haven’t been seriously looking at purchasing a car but just keeping an eye out on the market and decided to stop by to take a look at what they had. I was treated really well by the Sales department (I can’t say the same about some other dealers—different brands). My salesman wasn’t high pressure and they had good deals. I’m definitely coming again when I’m ready to buy.

I am writing because I was disappointed in the way that my non-sale was handled. I was called last Monday October 13, by voice mail that I was approved for a loan for a used car. So I called and talked to kesa in financial and contracted me on my approval. She then asked when I would be in and I told her Saturday she told me the documents that I would need. I faxed over my last two pay stubs on Wednesday October 15. She told me I was approved for 27,000 I would see her Saturday the 17th of October. I then got a call from TJ who also contracted me on my loan approval and was a going to be my sales rep. I told him that I send my subs over to kesa and what vehicle that I was interested in and asked if that would work he told me should not be a problem. When I came in Saturday he told me that I had to trade a vehicle in in order for it to work. I said that I was not told that by anyone. He said you're a smart guy you should know. (not if you don't tell me up front.) So I left came back with a trade on 20th October that night then I got the you need a co-signer and we are only giving you 1,000 for your car if you had money down. I asked TJ was I approved or not approved… he told yes and no. Needless to say I jumped over hoops and nothing was able to be done.

A lesson in how not to make a sale

I walked into the dealer to look at a car I saw online. Adam, the sales rep said the car was out overnight. I knew there were 2 cars of the same model. You'd think he's recommend looking at the 2nd car. Well, the 2nd car turned out to be the original car that I wanted to look at. Of course he couldn't find the keys to that car. Then he had to go back and find keys to the car blocking the first car. I loved the car but left the dealership in frustration with his lack of initiative. I spoke with him over the phone and scheduled an appointment for 9 AM on Sat. Of course, he was 10 minutes late. I test drove 2 cars. With one he said the information posted on the car was probably wrong...'it's common that this stuff was wrong'. He said the average person drives 25,000 miles per year, therefore there was nothing wrong with the high mileage of this vehicle. It took him 20 minutes to get a price offer on both vehicles, and another few minutes to go back and make copies of the offer since I wanted to take the offers home. If the strategy is to make the customer stay in the store as long as possible and grow frustrated with car sales process, then he did a great job. I'm interested in buying the car, but I can't possibly give him the sale. One more thing, when talking with him over the phone, I mentioned that I'm also looking at another car at another dealership, he replied "That's your choice". When I asked him if he can do better on the price, he hung up on me.

Bait and switch

We'll I contacted James A. at Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Downers Grove to buy a car they advertised with only one stock picture available so naturally I wanted to see the car and asked James to send me some and if I liked I would come over and see the car. He emailed me back and said he couldn't send any pictures because his camera guy wasn't there. So I emailed him back to take some with his cell phone. Did I need to think of this? I wasn't selling the car. O.k. so he emails me back, he'll give me $200 off the car if I schedule an appointment with him. I said fine, but still needed pictures. The next email said the car was sold 20 minutes ago. Really??? He said he had another car only a year newer, but guess what? It was $10,000 more. Does this dealership think we are all stupid consumers. They must. I would suggest staying away form this dealership.
