Awesome

I contacted them through text as I seen their ad on Craigslist. They replied right away and we were able to set up an appointment to see the truck I wanted the next day. When I arrived the truck was waiting up front and I was able to test drive it immediately. They gave me a reasonable price (KBB) for my trade in and I was able to come to an agreement with the sales manager, Joe, who was very helpful. Don, the business manager, sat down with me and talked with my credit union and ensured all of that was squared away. They also sent me my combat veteran license plate and registration to my house in a timely manner so that I could put it on my new truck. Overall great experience and great bunch of guys. I would also like to thank their detailing crew who really did an outstanding job cleaning up my truck. The detailer called in sick the day I picked the truck up so joe cox got me scheduled for a detail at my convienence and even gave me a rental car over night, all free. I have done business with two other ford delearships on island and none of them come close to the professionalism of windward ford.

Dissatisfied with Service

Very dissatisfied w/ overall service of Windward Ford. Since the dealership is under new ownership, the customer service is deplorable. No call backs, frequent no-answering of phones, no updates on car's status, very long time before car was repaired for a seemingly small fix. A part had to be ordered because the fan was broken. It should not have taken 1 month to fix this. Granted, the car was under warranty so there were no charges and we had a loaner ( after we asked for one). But there was no communication from them about what was happening. Under the old dealership, the customer service was excellent; continuous communication, making the customer feel important. With the last management, whenever the car was returned, it was clean; washed & vacuumed! When our car was returned this last time, this was not done. It seems like all the former employees are gone and that the management either isn't aware of the lack of follow thru or lack of caring or they just don't care. Maybe they are understaffed, maybe can't find qualified people, I don't know. But for sure the business is run very poorly and it's a great disappointment to know that Kailua is w/out a satisfactory Ford Dealership. What a shame!! So, although the work was completed and it didn't cost me anything, the Custormer service was so lacking that it clouds the satisfied feeling of at last getting the car back and running again.

Great Customer Service

Kevin was the perfect customer service rep. He answered all of my questions. The atmosphere was professional and more organized. I just have one comment about the lot attendant, Freddie, who shuttled me up the road. Very pleasant young man, but needs to slow his driving and follow the law by not making illegal u-turns. Let's just say that I don't really want to ride with him again.

Great Services, Great Selection, Great customer service, Great knowledge

I had the pleasure of working with Don the salesman & he was knowledgeable, patient and kind. He knew all the answers to my questions & was speedy when it came to my assistance. I took business cards so that I could recommend people to him because he was that good. So enjoyable to work with and made it as painless as possible. He even made a balloon for my daughter & she was SO excited about it. He even got outside & WASHED MY NEW CAR!!!! The fleet guy had called out sick & Don was out there in an alpha shirt washing my car to make it pretty for its first ride home. Joe the manager was SO kind. He worked with us on the payments and listened. The most important thing was that he listened!!! He heard what we were saying, he didn't talk over us. He came and made conversation while we were sitting and waiting for paperwork. He was so friendly & personable. That's what you need in this business. He played around with my 1.5 year old daughter & made conversation with my dad - which is near impossible to do because he doesn't want to talk to anyone. But joe did that. By the time I left, I felt like I had known Joe & Don my whole life!!!! It was that pleasurable of an experience. Christian was also really good. He was the sit in financial manager the day I purchased my vehicle. He was knowledgeable & QUICK! I was really glad that he was quick cause I was so over sitting in the dealership. He even made conversation with me, which was nice to not think about the car for thirty seconds after talking about it for 5 hours! Haha. He also was really personable and even made conversation with my dad - again, super difficult. I came back the next day to get my car a proper detail (but Don did a fine enough job, but they insisted) and I somehow ended up in Don Menus office. The financial manager. He was really friendly, up until there was a problem.... Which I understand there are rules and procedures. But when I express frustration, because I have been working ALL day, want to get home to my infant, but there is another hold up, I feel I have the right to. He then shifted the blame onto my salesman Don (which it so wasn't). First off, IT WASNT DON C FAULT. but if it was, Don Menus should have addressed it in a private manner. NEVER do you ever throw your team under the bus. You are a team. You work together. He then spoke to me very condescendingly. When i came on Sunday, joe, Don C & Christian were a TEAM! Monday, Don M spoke to all of them condescendingly and rudely. It appalled me. I didn't appreciate his condescending attitude toward me or the three men who I had felt like had made my first car purchase a pleasurable one. Everything in this review is positive because Don C, Joe & Christian allowed it to be. Please let them knowledge that. The comments are the only thing that will be negative because of Don M. Thank you Don C, Christian & Joe for a really great first time car buying experience. Ford is life & I'll be back for my next car with you guys!!!!!!

Took my 2008 Focus to Windward Ford on a Saturday morning after my battery died in town on Friday night. Kevin Nesmith of the service desk took me in right away and got me back on the road sooner then I expected, even including my overdue regular service, at the lowest possible cost. The reason I only give four stars is the new owners don't give free loaners like McKenna used to.

2016 Ford Escape

After spending the day test driving multiple SUVs my husband and I walked in to Windward Ford not sure what to expect. It was about 5pm on Saturday and there were no other customers on site. We were impressed with their attentiveness as we walked in. We ended up test driving a base model Escape with Adam. My husband loved it so much that we ended up buying it that night. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Our only complaint is the amount of time it took to finally leave with the car - it was about 9:30pm at night. 4.5 hours on a non-busy day seems excessive especially without any snacks or wine to enjoy while we go through all the paper work. We suggest in the future offering customers something to eat & drink (beer, wine, soda, water) to make the process a little less painful when making such an expensive purchase.
