Beware Dealership is not honest

byDalton8on 03/29/2017

was ready to buy a Buick Verano for my son's first car from the dealership. We agreed to a price and I left a $500 deposit. I could not sign the papers that day because I was ill, so I asked them on Saturday at noon could they keep my check and hold the cat until Monday. They sold it Saturday afternoon and did not even call me to tell me not to make the drive down. The explanation form the salesman Biff was "we really did not want the car anyway". If so why did he still have my deposit check. They speak like family but will keep their word. My son was very upset! BEWARE!!!

Dave Arnold took care me. I got just what I asked for.

bymomofboys1on 08/06/2011

Dave was a great salesman. Not too pushy and went the extra mile for me. I have always purchased my cars at an Atlanta area dealership. I will always come back and refer others to Heritage in Rome. I was treated with respect and kindness and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I am hard to impress, but I was impressed. I will be back.

Very Good Service - Dave Arnold is the BEST!!!!

bymsperfecthondaon 07/23/2011

Initially, I purchased a used Nissan Maxima at this dealership. To make a long story short, when I had my mechanic look it over, he was concerned about some possible transmission issues. I called the salesman, Dave Arnold, and he worked out a deal in which we would just trade in the car for a better one. I ended up getting a 2006 Honda Accord, and my (Triple-A approved) mechanic said it was the best car he's seen in a long time!!! I was frustrated with the situation with the Nissan, but Dave and the owner (Mike Barron) made sure that I was a happy customer and found me a car that I LOVE! The dealership did a very good job handling the entire situation from the sale to the trade in to the paperwork. I would recommend them and go see DAVE ARNOLD; he was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Great Service with Heritage!

byronperryon 04/05/2011

Just did a trade-in with Heritage and received wonderful customer service. We've purchased from them before and were reminded of why we just keep going back. The team worked to make sure we got the best deal available and offered awesome perks. We haven't come in contact with anyone who didn't meet our standards for treating customers with care and concern. They're great to work with! Thanks to Dave, Jon, Steve, and Wendell for their work to make us happy with our purchase.

Great experience with sales staff

bycdlane30165on 07/30/2010

I just bought a truck from the Heritage Honda dealership. The salesman, Randall Ingram, both managers I talked to, and the finance manager (unfortunately I don't remember all of their names), were all very helpful. They weren't pushy like many salesmen I've worked with, they were willing to explain their reasoning for offers, and they let me go off and think about things in between our discussions.

Super Sales Service - Mikey rocks!

byupperchamberon 07/23/2010

Had a shockingly great experience with my purchase of a new Honda Accord. I thought for sure I would have to travel outside Rome to find the best deal. However, thanks to my salesperson, Mikey Adair, I was able to buy the car right here in town at the most competive price. He provided me with clear, easy to understand, no-nonsense information and made the whole transaction very easy.

Heritage was great - Mikey's the man!

bycclifton1on 05/27/2010

I finally had to bite the bullet and get my son a car. He has driven my 1994 Acura Integra for several years but I'm starting to spend way too much money on car repairs. He's been at UGA for the past 2 years and I wanted him in a better car as he travels over the highways. This is where Mikey Adair steps in...Mikey is great!!!! I honestly didn't expect to find a car in Rome and I was all prepared to hit the road to Atlanta. I'm glad I stopped at Heritage first because not only did we find a great car but got it at a great deal! I'm not the easiest person to get along with but Mikey really took care of us. Everything I threw at him, he handled and that's saying a lot when dealing with me! He's a great salesman and we need more like him. I was also impressed with the finance dept because I was not there for a long time! Car buying shouldn't be an awful and/or dreaded experience. Thanks Heritage for doing a job well done. Mikey - you rock!

Heritage Pontiac Buick GMC Honda Sale Review

byalmo82on 05/15/2010

I have been buying cars for 47 years and I must say my experience at Heritage Honda was the best and easiest that I have ever experienced. Edmunds.dot com located five dealerships from Chattanooga Tn. to Woodstock Ga.. Each gave me an online price but Heritage's was the cheaper of five dealers. When I went to the dealership, there were no hidden items. The price was the price quoted online. There was no playing the car-buying game. The sales person Jon Jackson had a vast knowledge of the car, was polite, friendly, and eager to answer any and all of my questions. In the future I will use Edmunds to locate a car and I'll expect Heritage to always be in the running for my next Honda. Al Morris

Not Acceptable

bybobcat18on 04/10/2009

We've been taking our 1999 CRV and 2001 Acura CLS to this dealer for 3 years. Until recently they have been fair in pricing and quality has been good. However, they now seem to be trying to make money by over charging. (possibly a change in service managers?) We took the Acura in for brake service - new pads and rotors - and were quoted a price of about 1000.00 dollars. They first refused us a loaner (didn't have one available) and wanted a 550.00 deposit to order the parts. Why did they need a deposit when they already had our car? We we said no thanks, they suddenly had a loaner available and agreed to wave the deposit. This told us that they were trying to take advantage of us. We got the same work done at a local repair shop for 40% less than what Heritage wanted. My advice is to avoid this dealer when your car needs service.

Horrible, just horrible.

bymlowery85on 09/23/2007

After buying two Hondas from this dealership in 2001 and 2003, we went back in 2005 to buy a third - a 2005 Accord EX-V6. We were trading in our 2003 Accord EX-V6. When the 2003 was new, it got bumped by a car in a parking lot and had a small scuff that was professionally repaired. We disclosed this to Heritage Honda when trading it in and the sales associate, Garland Hubbard, proceeded to tell us that that barred the Accord from certification and thus reduced its trade value. As if that wasn't insulting enough, he went on to tell us that the 05 Accord would sell for MSRP of $28,000. Mind you, this was a non-navi Accord without so much as even a spoiler or moonroof wind deflector. Angry, we left Heritage in our 03 and vowed never to return. The next day we bought our 2005 Accord EX-V6 from Thompson Honda (now Carland North) in Cartersville. We got it for $25,115 and they threw in a free spoiler and assured us the minor incident the 03 had would not keep it from certification. Fast forward to March of 2007. We went to Heritage Honda, against our better judgment, to trade in a 2002 Acura TL on a 2007 Honda Civic Si sedan. We test drove the only one they had, in an undesirable color. It was a Galaxy Gray without navigation. I was not surprised to see the letters "ADM" on the sticker handwritten with $1000 beside it. In case you don't know, ADM is "Additional Dealer Markup". The result was that the finance manager wanted us to pay $516 for 72 months WITHOUT trading in the Acura. We said we were leaving and they followed us promising we could work something out. We waited for an hour while the finance manager had someone else in with her before we went back in to hear the new deal. Guess what? She repeated the exact same figures that she had said an hour before. Very angry and having wasted our time we stormed out of the dealership and went straight to Team Honda in Lithia Springs. Later that night, we left in a black 07 Civic Si sedan WITH navigation for less per month than Heritage wanted, and we had traded the Acura, as well. Fast forward to now. I stopped by recently to check out the new Accords that had just arrived. To my shock, disgust, and horror they have handwritten "ADM" on new Accords. They are marking up new Accords in price! That is unheard of on mass market mainstream family sedans. It just goes to show you the utter ignorance that defines Heritage Honda. Also, buyer beware, on each and every single car on the lot at Heritage there is an additional $895 charge for "mudguards, pinstripes, and a wash". For $900?! I think not.
