Martin Honda ruined my brand new CRV and refuses to replace it. My first oil change resulted a leak that drained every ounce of oil from my engine.This has taken years and miles off my brand new engine.The general manager refuses to call me back and is hiding behind his service manager. I have bought all my brand new Hondas from Martin for the last 17 years. Not one person up the chain of command has even apologized. Despicable.

I 've had problem getting financed at several dealerships so I decided to try martin's. I went on Friday morning, spoke with Bob Martin and the manager Al Raison. Early Saturday Al called me to come a get my car.- Trust me, If they could help me, they can help anybody. Go to them and see!

I just leased a 2015 Honda Accord through Martin Honda and it was the most amazing dealership I have ever done business with! After many horrible previous experiences with dealerships, my husband and I were nervous about going through the process again. Chris Burnett was our sales man and was so friendly, honest, and worked to get us exactly what we wanted. He made the entire experience so simple, quick, and enjoyable. I have been taking two cars there for service for a couple years. They consistently been "recommending" additional services, some that I could see some potential value in, others more dubious. I was a bit suspicious but always chose to trust them. The recent service they did will be the last one. They put a different kind of oil from the one I asked for, and they sold me a fuel induction service on a $40K miles vehicle. Being suspicious I checked it out afterwards and found a 2006 letter of American Honda's assistant vice president to Honda dealers specifically requiring them to *not* do fuel injection cleaning on Honda vehicles. I quote "fuel injection (induction) cleaning/flushing is not recommended by American Honda. This is an unnecessary maintenance procedure and an improper repair procedure...." [HTML removed] So what would a good faith yet rational customer do after something so blunt as this?

I purchased a used Pontiac Vibe from Martin Dealership in Newark. The salesman Eric Mangrum was extremely helpful. He was courteousness and professional. I did my research before walking into the dealership so I know I got a great deal. He respected my research and respected me. Buying a car from Eric was enjoyable and I never felt pressured. Fortunately, my sales rep was extremely nice and patient. I test drove a car, worked out favorable lease terms, and left very happy. I 100% recommend this dealership over Newark ToyotaWorld

this is the 2nd car I have purchased from them. Both of them have been very positive experience. Tushar our sales man walked us through the process. No pressure applied. Financing was also a very pleasant experience.
My rating for this dealership is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARTIN HONDA IN NEWARK, DE!!! After working a week with them to find the perfect vehicle for my family of 3 and baby on the way, we have been completely screwed over and lied to by the manager Al. We were in There on Saturday 3/22/14 to return the Honda CR-v that we had tested over night. While looking through the vehicle and spend more time in it, we realized there was an animal smell which then lead to us finding all the hair/fur through out .Upon returning the car we had said if they will clean the car and get the smell out then we will be purchasing the SUV. Al assured us that he would have it sent in to be cleaned that night and would be ready Monday 3/24/14 In the morning. Al then said that come Monday and If we couldn't get there for some reason, THEN he would not be able to hold the car. Him saying this wasn't an issue since we would make it our mission to be there. Today (3/24/14) came and I stopped in around 9:30M to check on the smell. Al shook my hand and said that they were unable to get it in to be cleaned on Saturday and that he would do it today and have it ready by tomorrow (3/25/2014). I said thank you so much and just keep us updated. It's now 1:30pm. Only 4hrs after I left the dealership and Erik calls to let my husband know that he is sorry and the CR-v had been sold on the Saturday that we retuned it to be cleaned!!!!!! Why would they do that?! Most importantly, why didn't The MANAGER tell the that this morning while I was there?! That's a shady way to conduct business. Thank you so much sales associate Erik and manager Al for making it easier for us look on with another dealership!!!

We purchased a 2013 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite on 4/30/13. It was the last day of the Spring Sales Event and special financing and the dealership was very busy. I visited the day before without my wife, and returned with her to make a decision and purchase the van. Our salesperson, Carol H., was outstanding and made our buying experience very easy and stress free. I highly recommend this dealership.

Just bought a new 2012 CR-V. The sales representative was Eugene. He made it the best car buying experience in all the years I have been buying cars. He was very professional, friendly,and answered all my questions thoroughly. He went above and beyond to get the car that I wanted in the color I wanted. It had to be ordered from another dealer, but I didn't have to wait long. Communication was great and he made sure I was a satisfied customer. I will certainly recommend to others.

Just got my 2012 Fit. Got my best price at my local dealer and dealt with Mike Aldridge, my sales guy. I started out looking at Kia Souls but wanted a stick with cruise control. Mike was just a pleasure to work with - professional, helpful and patient. I would highly recommend him and the dealer and would go back to them for another car. A great experience.
Terrific experience with Martin Honda
I just had a fantastic experience buying a new car at Martin Honda in Newark. Carol H. was the salesperson who worked with me, and she was *so* helpful (and patient!) throughout the process. She answered a variety of questions I had, both in email communications before I visited the dealership and then in person when I arrived. Carol was clearly busy, but it was also clear she would make time to really answer my questions, walk me through the process and help me in any way she could. I had the opportunity to do a lengthy test drive of two different cars (indeed, I had come only intending to test drive a Civic but had an impulse desire to try out the Insight to see if I'd consider it, and it was no problem -- I had the keys to one of those in a snap). Carol went over pricing for both the Civic and the Insight in detail, giving me a detailed breakdown of the prices for both, and I came away from my initial visit to Martin Honda with the sense I was being offered a great price. When, at the suggestion of a friend, I checked the price against the independent verifications online that night, I found that it was indeed a terrific deal. But most importantly, while Carol went out of her way to make me feel comfortable making the purchase I ultimately made, I never felt pressured to buy -- just like she wanted to help me make the decision that would feel right for me. And this included such a patient and supportive response to an 11th hour desire on my part for a slightly different color. I could imagine a lot of salespeople throwing up their hands and saying it's not worth it, but she just seemed happy to help me find exactly what I wanted. Today, Carol made all of the paperwork incredibly easy, including coordination with my insurance company. And by the time we were done with the paperwork, the car had been checked over, polished up and looked gorgeous. The whole process was remarkably quick. So I really can't imagine a better car buying experience. I would certainly recommend it -- and Carol H. specifically! -- to anyone interested in a Honda.

From the welcoming sales person to the finance person everyone was courteous and helpful. This made the purchase in todays economy extremely pleasant.
