Great used car buying experience

I bought a Veloster from Hyundai and we decided to go there to get a second vehicle used. We talked to someone on the phone first and when we got there they were very quick and helped us find the car we picked online. They were very curious and there was no haggling because we told them what we wanted and they made it happen even though my credit is not that great. I had a great experience and plan on buying my next new vehicle with Hyundai because of their customer service. You never know what you are going to get with a car but if you have this support staff behind you at the Bakersfield Hyundai dealership you can't go wrong!!!

The people down at Bakersfield Hyundai really do care about their customers. They express right when you walk in their front door. I've been to other dealers from so cal back up to Bakersfield searching for the right deal and good price on my trade in. Simply put, they delivered. They know how to take care of a customer. Their professionalism and welcoming attitude is quite rare and refreshing. This is coming from some one who was in quite a few of the new car dealerships in Bakersfield. Searching for a great price on a reliable vehicle from a well structured and friendly organization, THIS IS THE PLACE.

I used the Blue Link iOS app to book the appointment, which was a snap to choose a regular mile maintenance or individual service item. I dropped off my car the night before. There's a place to drop the key and the area is well lit. Someone called me promptly in the morning with an exact price estimate (that's what i actually paid) for the work. The work was done quickly and i picked up my car after work. The car was washed when i got to the dealership and the paperwork was easy and quick.

My wife and I were shopping for a mid size SUV at the Bakersfield Auto Mall recently. We visited seven different dealerships and decided to visit Bakersfield Hyundai. From the beginning to the end the overall experience of buying our new Hyundai Santa Fe from Bakersfield Hyundai was terrific. Samuel Guiltner greeted us as soon as we walked on the lot. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions about our new Santa Fe. He was the only sales person that took the time to explain all the benefits of buying our new Santa Fe. Samuel made this the best experience we have ever had in buying a new car. Nick Martinez our finance representative was very friendly and professional. He explained all our options for financing our new Santa Fe. We are looking forward to having our Santa Fe serviced at Bakersfield Hyundai.

I cannot say enough positive things about Bakersfield Hyundai. Not only did they have the best selection and price but they might be the friendliest car salesmen I ever met. Throughout the entire process they were offering my wife and I beverages and even offered to have dinner delivered. You would think you would only be treated like this when buying a Mercedes or BMW, not when buying a Hyundai! I rarely leave reviews but they impressed us so much that it would be criminal not to share our buying experience at Bakersfield Hyundai with others!

I am nothing but smiles - Bakersfield Hyundai delivered on all fronts - great price, exact car I wanted, friendly and quick purchase. There is nothing worse then sitting in a dealership all day to get to the terms we want as a buyer. Roxy was great and Patrick (the GM) made me feel like a VIP after coming out to personally thank me for my business. I would definitely recommend this dealer to others!

Bait and Switch at its most perfected state

We had agreed to buy a Hyundai Elantra Limited Edition for $22,000 out the door. They agreed...multiple times for a week....that this price was agreed to. After a week they still hadn't gotten any in...they kept asking me to wait a couple days for the new shipment. After a week I was getting frustrated and told them I would still buy from them but Iwanted it written on paper that it was $22,000. I spoke with another Hyundai dealership who had the car I wanted and they said that there was NO WAY the Bakersfield Hyundai would be able to sell that car @ $22,000 and if they were I needed it in writing right away. So anyways, I told them I wanted it in writing. He came back and said they would write the paper as long as I paid a deposit of $200-300 for a car that wasn't even at the dealership. I told them I would not put money down on a car that didn't exist yet...even though our financing was approved. I told them even if it was on toilet paper that was fine and that I was asking for paper stating what they (the salesman Nick) had agreed to and they were asking for money down on a car they didn't even have. He then came back saying that the price they would agree to was $23,000 and that they never said $22,000 that that was something my husband and I said! I told him I heard my husband and him talking on speakerphone and I know what he said and he completely denied it! I walked out. I spoke with Angel the "manager" later and he said they would sell it to me for only $500 over invoice and that would be $23,500 when 5 min earlier in our conversation he told me the invoice price was $23,100 when I KNOW that is the MSRP and then invoice is a couple grand less than that. This is the WORST DEALERSHIP I have ever dealt with. We have bought MULTIPLE cars from various dealerships and this was the absolute worse dealership. I am going to pay the $23,000 but at the dealership in Los Angeles where they were truthful and upfront.

Refused to sell ad vehicle at sale price

I found a car I wanted to buy from an ad at $7995. After hours at this dealer, I finally saw a contract. They had changed the price to $9995, & added over $800 in various fees & warranties that I never discussed. I had given them a check for $5000 as a deposit, & they refused to return it! I walked out, & stopped payment on the check. It was mailed back to me 3 months later!

Arrogance Abounds....Nothing Positive

Customer service was severely lacking. First Time buyer was ignored (this is just disrespectful) and treated poorly talked around and not to by the sales staff and manager. Manager of the hour was ill prepared and continued arrogant attitude of the sales rep. Price negotiations were far from fair market value. Dealer added several way overpriced aftermarket items to vehicle with no negotiation for pricing. Counter offered with a price even willing to split the price difference with the dealer. Even returned to dealership to follow up after 2 hours since no phone call or follow up from them. Sales Representative and Manager never even acknowledged the offer. Willing to tolerate some lacking in the sales staff if getting the vehicle you want at the price you can afford is the end result however this was a bad experience all around, highly NOT recommended. This was an education for a first time buyer, of what a dealership should not to do!
