by 9666 on 07/24/2013updated 06/13/2025Dealt w/ internet/fleet sales by phone & computer for several days before arriving in AZ w/ my son to buy him a car for school. Made it perfectly clear what options we needed, what price point we wanted, & also that I wanted a fast… negotiation when I arrived. Made it clear the vehicle price OUT THE DOOR would include all fees, taxes, etc., so that they wouldn't show me cars that could never be purchased for the money I had allotted (cash; no financing). They assured me over the phone there'd be plenty of Civics to choose from once I got to the dealership. As it was, there was one car, all others being the wrong year or wrong price range. We test drove the car & sat down to do paperwork. They adjusted fees & reduced the price, all the time reassuring me the car was affordable for my price. After more than an hour, and the price still $2000 over our limit, I stood up & walked out, telling them we'd be looking elsewhere. After coming up short finding any Civics elsewhere in our ballpark, I noticed Bell had left me a message. I spoke w/ the sales mgr by phone & was told they had only one possibility, if I could go "about $500" over my previously stated budget. I said yes, as long as it was CLEAR that this included the same reductions in fees & extra costs that I'd negotiated w/ the previous car, and that the OUT-THE-DOOR PRICE had to be agreed upon on the phone. Reassured once again, we headed back to Bell. Here's where things got ridiculous. They knew before I arrived this time what price we had to hit, but they still couldn't seem to do it. One after another salesperson, moving up through the ranks, each one spouting the same nonstop nonsense in an effort to get me to raise my offer. There were plenty of excuses on their part as to why my price just couldn't be met. After an hour of this crap, I had reached a boiling point. By this time I'd been shown 3 different "best" prices by 3 different sales people. We were still $500 over my previously revised limit (which was $500 over my original limit). The manipulation was blatant. When the last sales guy wouldn't stop talking about all the reasons the sales price could not possibly go any lower, I finally interrupted him, pointed out the number on the paper & asked if that was the final price. He said yes and then started talking again. I interrupted him, saying "NO," and stood up to leave. I told him they knew what price they had to hit to get my business, they told me they could do it by phone so I came back, and now they had simply lost my business. We walked our the door to our car, parked right in front of their sales office. By the time I started the car, the sales mgr came running out, gesturing for me to talk to him. He begged me to let them make the deal I needed, to just give him one minute to go inside & work it out. While he was gone, we just shook our heads at the whole situation, agreeing it would have to be a hell of a deal. He came back out offering a price, still well over our limit, that removed the certification & did not include fixing the cracked windshield). I laughed at the audacity and said that's enough, we're out of here. Before I can leave, I meet the next guy up on the totem pole of importance. As I'm sitting inside my car w/ the engine running, this guy offers a price only $49 (!) over our limit, including the certification but not the windshield repair, which they say costs them about $350. I begin backing up the car to leave, telling them this was the most ridiculous sales experience I'd ever had & that they had embarrassed themselves repeatedly throughout the process. I was thoroughly disgusted by the whole thing. I've bought plenty of cars in the past, so I'm not unaware of the games, but this was pathetic. Don't chase me out to my car trying to make me an offer that you weren't capable of making with me in your sales office. That just makes me angry. Yeah, in the end, I turned down the deal because it was $49 over my limit, but by that time I had reached my own personal limit in dealing with these [non-permissible content removed].Never visit Bell honda...It's a waste of time
by kalikota on 08/11/2012updated 06/13/2025They have locked the price (Out the door over the email). When I went there, they wasted my 4hours of time and increased the price by $2500 and forced me to buy all the stupid items like color protection package, wheel locks, tinting… etc...for $2500. And finally they don't even have the color I asked. But they lied that they have stock. One more high-late is, they keep changing their words and commitments and they called that process called as "Negotiation". It is completely wasting our valuable, if you are planning to visit Bell honda. Thanks! -SriniAbove and Beyond
by meiko1 on 12/21/2012updated 06/13/2025I cannot say enough kind words for the staff at Bell Honda service center. Their team is so amazing. Their facility is clean, they have plenty of entertainment and snacks. George always keeps me in the loop. It is great. I recommend them… all the time!Go Bell Honda!!
by lillybell28 on 09/19/2012updated 06/13/2025I just recently purxhased a car from Shawn at Bell Honda and it was a great experience. I have purchased from dealerships in the past and always had a bad experience so I dreaded going to a new dealership. I was very impressed at how… professional and friendly everyone at Bell Honda was. They have changed my mind about what a car dealership is. I will definitely refer anyone to Shawn and Bell Honda!Worst Service Department Ever
by krysburton on 10/29/2013updated 06/13/2025I was just in today getting my Accord serviced today. After my "Service Specialist", Josh told me about everything that was "wrong" with my car, I decided that I was going to get a second opinion on what really needed to be done with my… car. He told me that the transmission fluid needed to be replaced, the /ac filter and the engine filter needed to be replaced. So, I took it to another dealership tonight, because I do not trust any word that comes out of his mouth. And when I did this, it was determined that the engine filter needs to be replaced because on the last oil change the Bell Honda has done, they put too much oil in my car. So, after I told them that they had JUST replaced it no more than an hour go, they checked my oil levels in my car. And guess what?! They OVERFILLED it AGAIN by over 1 and a half quarts of oil. So not only a simple engine filter need to be replaced, but Bell Honda service technicians are RUINING my engine on my 1 year old car. So needless to say, I'm extremely livid.Amazing car buying experience
by dhenry1 on 04/20/2014updated 06/13/2025I had a completely stress free experience at Bell Honda! I was greeted immediately by Patrick who gave me his undivided attention throughout my car purchasing experience. In addition Scott, the sales manager, was also extremely helpful and… I was in and out of the financing office in less than an hour!! Would recommend everyone to see Patrick at Bell Honda!!Bell Honda Sales Men are Liars
by Xlc71 on 05/28/2014updated 06/13/2025My cousin Cindy loved new 2014 CRV, so I suggested her & went to Bell Honda at 701 W Bell Road in the late evening on December 7th 2013. We bought a white color 2014 CRV from Jose R and sales manager Iron G promised us the first three oil… changes are free of charge. We finished all the financing papers late that night, before us leaving Bell Honda that night, we confirmed the free oil changes again with Jose R, he kept promising us and stated “Don’t worry, I will take care of everything for you!” He also asked us to give him a good rating on the survey…which we did. We trust Honda and the sales manager/sales man would do what they say and keep promise to their customers. Until the first oil change for the 2014 CRV on Friday afternoon May 23rd 2014, service department told my cousin Cindy that there was no free oil change on their record and she had to pay for it. They told Cindy to see finance department and sales man Jose R. Cousin Cindy patiently waited there for two hours, Jose R said apparently sales manager Iron G forgot to write down free oil changes on her papers, but he remembered clearly that Iron G had promised Cindy three free oil changes for her 2014 CRV. Jose promised Cindy again that he will ask Iron G to call Cindy no later than Tuesday May 27th to fix the problems, give her an apology and her free oil changes back. My cousin Cindy was really upset about how she was treated at Bell Honda, tired of the sales man’s lies and went home with lots disappointments… As of today, Tuesday May 27th 2014, sales manager Iron Gastelum and Jose R have not contacted my cousin Cindy back. Honda sales manager and sales man were liars; they broke their promises and ate their words again!Dishonest Service Reps
by jimb5107 on 08/26/2012updated 06/13/2025One rep lied to me about repair / replace my AC. He wanted to replace all the components the compressor, condenser, and the controls behind the dashboard or Honda would not warranty. Two other dealers were $800 less and only wanted to… replace the compressor and condenser. My mechanic in Maryland strongly disagreed with replacing the condenser because there are filters in the lines to catch debris from the compressor when it fails. Two other repairs were almost as bad - service reps making claims for needed repairs that previously done or did not need repairs. The sales department is just as bad - see that review also.OK experience, but stick to your guns
by 019910 on 09/12/2011updated 06/13/2025I got a quote online from a few dealers in the valley. I was actually on my way to purchase a pilot from another dealer when Bell Honda called me to follow up on a previous quote. They said they would beat the deal from the other dealership… by $300 so I told them I wouldDitch Bell Honda
by honda53 on 01/13/2012updated 06/13/2025I have purchased 2 of my three Honda Accords at Bell Honda & have been dissatisfied with the service dept. & so now go to Arrowhead Honda. One time I had my oil changed & the next day saw a large oil spot in my garage. I returned to get… things tightened & was offered no apology or any compensation for my trouble. A coupon would have been nice & also appropriate. I took another of my Accords in for a timing belt special & was sold a lot of other work which Arrowhead Honda told me was unnecessary. Will never go there again for service. Sales staff was ok when buying 2 cars. Go Arrowhead Honda, Brian Coover, my service advisor!Poor service experience
by hehdake on 10/01/2011updated 06/13/2025I brough my 2011 Odyssey into Bell Honda for an oil change and tire rotation on Friday, 9/23 at 11:45am. I was the only vehicle in the two "receiving" lanes. I arrived right at 11:45am and was met by a service advisor. He advised me that my… assigned advisor was with another customer and then he would assist me. I waited at least 15 minutes and watched at least 5 other cars arrive - some of which were processed by their advisors and actually driven to the back while I still waited. After 15 minutes, another advisor came out to assist me. He must have seen I was waiting so long. He told me it would take about 40-45 minutes for the oil change and rotation and about another 15-20 minutes for the free car wash. I told him I would wait there. It was now a couple of minutes past Noon. A few minutes before 2pm, about an hour after my Odyssey was supposed to be ready, I found the advisor that worked with me requesting a status update on my van. I needed to leave by 2:15pm at the latest to pick up my daughter from school. That advisor checked the computer and then asked me to wait and he went to track down my originally assigned advisor. The originally assigned advisor approached me with paperwork and explained the work on the van was done and he had tried calling me about 15 minutes earlier but couldn't find me. I had been waiting in the waiting area and a couple of times I walked right outside in the receiving area to take a peak out back to check to see what was happening with my van. Each time I checked, my van was still parked in the same parking space out back. My original advisor walked me to the cashier and explained to me I might receive a survey about my service experience and it is his goal for me to rate his service at the highest possible score - I was meeting him for the very first time as I was paying. After paying, the cashier handed me my keys and said the van was parked on the side of the building - not pulled up in the lane where cars are typically picked up after being serviced. I walked to the side of the building and my van wasn't there. I then walked around to the back and my van was still parked in the same spot where it had always been. The back parking area did not seem it was intended for the public but I went back there to retrieve my van. As I walked closer to the van, I could tell it had not been washed. When I sat in the van, the green service tag was still sitting on the dash board. I wondered whether they even performed the oil change and rotation. The oil change indicator light was no longer on. It was now time for me to leave to pick up my daughter from school, so there was not anything I could do about having the van washed. When I returned home, I looked more closely at my invoice and saw that the invoice showed the service on my van had been completed at 12:59pm. I had waited another hour from the time the service on my van was completed before I was able to pay and pick up the van. And, by that point, it was too late for me to bring to their attention that they did not wash the van. This was, by far, the worst experience I have had when taking a vehicle in for an oil change.Buyer Beware
by chandler57 on 04/06/2011updated 06/13/2025We had been in contact with several Valley Honda dealers looking for a 2011 Odyssey EX. A representative from Bell Honda spoke with my husband on the phone he stated "we will not lose your business over $600". So the sales team set up a… very specific appointment time for us to come in and buy our new van with a very specific price promised. My sister had already told me Never buy a car from Bell Honda but, since we had already negotiated a price I thought we were safe. Upon arriving at Bell Honda at our designated appointment time, we were handed off to a different salesperson, took a test drive, yes this is the car we agreed on. Then the games began, suddenly the negotiated price didn't exist. The salesperson said "let's see how close we can get", after this went on for awhile we were passed off to another manager to see what he could do. More of the same, we ended up leaving without purchasing the car. My thought is this is not an isolated case. Since we didn't have anything in writing.... too bad so sad. A person's word used to mean something but apparently not at Bell Honda. The following day a manager called and noted that we had left without the purchase. We were told the salesman must have "misunderstood". There was no misunderstanding..... get it in writing or save yourself the trip.Disgusting.
by larahp on 05/22/2012updated 06/13/2025My experience with Bell Honda was hands-down, the worst I have ever encountered. I went in on Friday after doing some research on a used vehicle that was posted on the internet by Bell Honda. Earlier in the day, I had been emailing an… employee and asked very specific questions about the vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership, I was met by two other employees (one a manager and the other sales) and was told that despite my appointment, the employee I was to meet with was sick in the back and I'd be taken care of by the other guy. Instantly, I was nervous. I expressed my concerns with being upsold, taken advantage of or lied to, as I had read these experiences all over the internet by other potential buyers. I was assured that this would not be my case. We went to the back lot, where the vehicle was parked. It was dirty and had no license plate, so I could only try it out in the parking lot. Nevertheless, I loved the car and was ready to buy it right then. I was told that it would be a couple of days for the car to go through and pass inspection and would I mind that? Not at all, I said. I was also told that they would put an order in for the inspection to happen sooner, rather than later. Saturday, in fact. The end of Saturday nears and I call the dealership to find out the status of the inspection. The gentleman I was transferred to didn't even ask me the make or model of the vehicle I was calling about and instead, tried to sell me other cars that I hadn't even seen! Over the telephone. He sounded rather bored as he took my number and told me he'd call me back in a few moments when he found the status. That call never came. I had the exact same experience the following day. This morning, I call the now three people that have helped me with this car, only to find out that all three of them are off today. I get connected with a manager who says he'll check on the status and takes my number. No return phone call. I call again in the early afternoon and was told that the vehicle is now in the shop and someone would call me when it passed inspection and that it would be about an hour. Well, that hour came and went. So, I called again. Somehow, I got connected with a woman in the sales department who finally tells me that that particular vehicle had been SOLD the week prior! BEFORE I even drove it!! Really? I ask then to be connected to a manager who is talking to someone else the whole beginning part of my story and then rudely puts me on hold for a few moments. When he comes back, he gives me some story about the owner of the car not being able to get financing and he was given the car back...why then, did the woman say it was sold, I ask? I'm not sure, he says. I am instantly angry and floored by the lack of customer service, communication or empathy from these people. Not only was there no follow up, there were just flat out lies. All things I was assured would not happen to me. I am truly disgusted and will never, ever give business to this dealership.A "Senior" Review
by Sheckle on 03/13/2013updated 06/13/2025With age comes wisdom and also the need for a car that is accessable. Our sedan was "too low" for comfort. After being disappointed at Mercedes & Lexus, we went to Bell Honda. Why Bell? Because they have been doing the service on our 2002… (that our son has now) and it's still running like new. The entire crew in the sales department were amazing. We told them what we wanted and they gave us choices. Within an hour, we had decided what PILOT we wanted. Our sales team was great, headed up by Iron. Brandon, the sales manager even took us to the newly remodeled service department to let George know that he would now have 2 Honda's from our family to take care of. What's the nicest thing about our car purchase? Knowing that the PILOT in our garage will be with us for years, because it's a BELL HONDA. It has a longer warranty than we do (thanks to Ramses)!!! Mr. & Mrs. James GThank you so much for your loyalty! We love hearing feedback from our Customers. If you ever have any questions or concerns, you are in good hands!
Great buying experience!
by rmnelson on 09/23/2012updated 06/13/2025Bell Honda and their employees were a real pleasure to work with. Not only were they professional and courteous but they made my buying experience fun. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone wanting a good deal and pleasant… experience.Good Times at Bell Honda
by devousy1 on 11/12/2011updated 06/13/2025I had done some internet research. I was contacted by Brian. Brian provided me great serivce and a number on my trade. I also received a upfront number on the car I wanted. When I arrived it was a quick and smooth process. I enjoyed my time… spent there and would refer friends and family. They where quick and honest. I'm loving my new Accord. I'm still waiting for responses from 2 other dealers I emailed as well. Thank you Bell Honda. I will see your in 2-3 years.DO NOT waste your time
by cristinav on 06/03/2012updated 06/13/2025Do not waste your time with Bell Honda! I was guaranteed that they would beat any deal by $500, but they did not even touch the deal I got through Earnhardt Honda. The sales person was nice, but the sales manager was very rude and… unprofessional. When my husband and I stuck to our guns and asked for our keys to our trade in back he left the room saying something along the lines of "I'm kicking these people out". When we presented the deal we were guaranteed by Earnhardt he told us that it was just the price they wanted to reel us in with, but would change once we went back. Earnhardt not only honored the deal, but made our experience great. We left Earnhardt with a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid that same day! Ask for Israel and head straight to Earnhardt!Bell Road Honda Rings with lies
by spagal on 06/02/2012updated 06/13/2025DO NOT GO TO BELL HONDA. We did not buy here, but went because the COSTCO Auto Program refered us to them as we wanted to buy a 2012 Honda odyssey. Lets start with the call from STEPHANIE the Fleet Manager. In her call she promised that if… we came and test drove the car today she would give us a $50 Visa gift card. We called and arranged a time for our test drive that night. When we arrived we were told that Stephanie was busy but that Isaac would take care of us. We test drove the vehicle and inquired at least 4 times as to what was the Costco Program pricing. Each time the question was either ignored or past over with let's just agree on a price with the guys in the back. After far too many hours of this back and forth asked Isaac for our $50 gift card and we would be on our way. Isaac said that we would have to take that up with Stephanie and that he knew nothing about it. The next morning, I sent Isaac an email with Stephanie's voice message (see Below) and ask that he forward it to Stephanie with our request for them to mail us the gift card we were promised. I also called the dealership the next afternoon and asked for Stephanie. The man who answered the phone said that she was not available but that he would take a message. I requested to go to her voicemail but he said she did not have voice mail and he would give her the message. We never heard from Stephanie until today June 1st. In her message she said she was following up on our car buying. I called her to see the status of their sending us the $50 Visa gift card. Now she indicates that they were while supply lasted! I told her that we were there and test drove the car the night she offered it and we expect to receive it. She said "what is more important to you a good price on a car or the $50 gift card? I told her that this is a matter of integrity and if they did not live up to the $50 gift card then they were not someone that I wanted to do business with. After seeing these reviews I should have realized NOT TO GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. This is like a 1950 car deal place with back and forth and try to beat you down. Come on guys get with the internet we know car pricing. They also did the $3000 of add ons options you do not want in the upcharge of the car. By the way Stephanie told us that "Isac was "New" and no longer worked there. Good for you Issac a pretty good NFL football player from Michigan. You don't want to work for people like this. They have no integrity or Honor. Gary Harper Chanel 3 here we come help us get our $50 visa gift card. If you decided to ignore this and go for your $50 test drive gift certificate with NO OBLIGATION, tell them to SHOW YOU THE MONEY UP FRONT.Great Dealership and Sales and Financing staff
by barbarocaridad on 10/30/2011updated 06/13/2025Great dealership, sales staff was professional, no pressure, went out of their way to help me and I will refer all my friends there to purchase a vehicle. Jesse M. Hoffman is a gentleman and I will buy my cars from him now and in the… future. I give them all a 10+ rating"online quotes aren't real quotes"
by azdochuff on 05/29/2012updated 06/13/2025I put the title of my review in quotation marks, because that is a direct quote from the sales person I worked with after arriving at Bell Honda. I had spoken with Jim Moriarity about the quotes I had received for an Odyssey. He guaranteed… me that I would have a sales price $2000 under invoice. He also guaranteed me that I would be given $500 if his price wasn't the lowest. He also said I would get a $50 gift card just for coming in. I went into the dealership after explaining that I had a 4 week old at home so I didn't have time to haggle over the price. When I arrived, Jim handed me off to someone else. When I mentioned the price quote I received, that is when he told me they aren't real quotes. The first offer he brought me was for $5000 more than Jim had quoted and he was offering $2000 less for my trade than other dealerships. I obviously said no. They then proceeded to have several people circling around me throwuing out payment numbers, trying to get me to agree to a "payment". I finally left. When I asked about the gift card for coming in, they said "we ran out". I then negotiated a deal over the phone with Aaron McDonald at Showcase Honda. He was extremely professional and we would have had a deal, except he didn't have the color I wnated. I then spoke with Don Staples at Ernhardt Honda. He quoted me a price over the phone. When I got to the dealership, his first offer was for the price he had quoted and he gave me $2500 more for my trade in than Bell Honda offered. I guess his quotes are "real". No bait and switch! I would advise anyone to skip Bell Honda and work with Don Staples at Ernhardt or Aaron McDonald at Showcase!Great job Bell Honda!
