All they care about money!!!!!! Not the customer !!!!!!!!

bymaporornocar1on 01/24/2017

I have just had the worst experience of my life dealing with the dodge dealer in Tacoma. The service at this place is the worst I have ever dealt with, I purchased 4 vehicles from there at present and this is my last! I was smelling a burning plastic smell in my car coming out of the heater on three separate occasions, I took it in to be looked at, and get an oil change. They changed oil and weirdly the smell was not so potent anymore, but it is still there and 45 minutes later the smell was back they told me they found nothing and claimed they checked it twice...putting it on a computer and getting no codes doesn't always mean there is no issue, they don't seam to know how to do more than look at a computer screen, I'm taking it to another dealer as this dealer has lost my business forever due to this issue and more past issues then I want to type about right now, when I picked up my vehicle I found a scratch the front bumper and my sports mode did not work when they gave it back to me!!!!! They told me that they did not do it but the scratch is there and it wasn't before! they're not going to take care of it, they scratched a vehicle I had prior to this also and rolled the tint I had gotten done, driving home and finding no sports mode that is what made my decision, Never buy from the Dodge dealer in Tacoma or Enumclaw Dodge they're owned by the same person. They are the worst dealership to deal with in the northwest in my opinion Aka Universal autogroup and curbside motors from Washington!!!! The GM there is a great guy and retained my business there to this point even though there had been other issues...but I an done with there service director.. Now lets talking about the sales and financing, they are pretty scandalous on how they get you to buy a car or truck from them, on my last deal they made me take an extended service contact that added over 3500 dollars to the term of the loan and to rise my payment which covered the same as the cars factory warranty, which is garbage really. If I would have known these things about this company sooner, I would have run from this dealership or any other dealership Universal autogroup owns, in my opinion they lie the cheat and don't care about anything once the deal is done!

Willie Newcomb is the man!

bymommaof7on 09/22/2016

We found our vehicle online, called to verify it was there (it was), arrived 15 minutes later to the vehicle waiting out front for us. We were introduced to Willie Newcomb and right from the start we had good vibes. Honest man, straight forward, and loads of personality. Felt like we were buying a vehicle from a trusted friend. Willie took the time to go over everything in the vehicle, filled the gas tank, and offered to sync We'll buy all future vehicles from Tacoma Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram! More specifically from Willie Newcomb. Pleasure doing business with him/them, very respectful of our time constraints and our situation.

It's too bad really

byDan_Schillingon 05/19/2016

Wow. Just wow. I am mechanical and work on my cars as much as possible. There are some things I am unable or uncomfortable doing. There are also recalls, where I need have to take my vehicle in to get serviced according to the recall notice. The NHTSA investigated the location of the gas tank in the 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and found that the location of the gas tank caused the vehicle to be susceptible to explosion in the event of a rear end collision. But the recall, which came in an 11th-hour deal between the automaker and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, covers only 1.56 million of the 2.7 million Jeeps that the government wanted repaired. The rest are part of a "customer service action" and many may not get fixed. Chrysler, looking at its bank account, decided that $300 million was too much of a cost to fit all the vehicles with a tow hitch (which they agreed to do for the early model Grand Cherokees that has the gas tank in the same location, but far fewer vehicles on the road), and that the cost of lawsuits for wrongful deaths would be cheaper. I just bought a 2004 Grand Cherokee and was notified of the recall. I took my Jeep in to Tacoma Dodge believing that they would structurally enhance the rear end of the vehicle to keep me and my family as safe as possible. What I got was nothing. That perplexed me, so I asked to talk to the tech. The tech told me I didn't have a hitch, so Chrysler told him to do nothing but note it. I asked to talk to the Service Manager. He told me that Chrysler told them that if I didn't already have a hitch on my Jeep, then they didn't have to do anything. I told him that doing the minimum that Chrysler says you have to do and doing the right thing are different. I expect Chrysler, being a multinational conglomerate, to put their bank account ahead of the people that buy their cars. I also expect Tacoma Dodge, since they like to tout that they are a local shop committed to "Customer satisfaction is our highest priority, and our staff is committed to achieving this goal in every aspect of our business.", to put their customers ahead of profit. Tacoma Dodge knows about the hundreds of people that have died in these collisions. They know that installing a hitch can and will save lives. They also know that it will cost them about $100. Eric (not sure his last name), decided that the $100 bucks was more important than ensuring the safety and satisfaction of his client. He actually had the audacity to yell at me and tell me if I was so concerned about my family's safety, I should buy my own damn hitch and that he'd be happy to sell me one. When I told him that i was already buying one from someone else because safety was my number 1 concern, he changed topics and went back to the "Chrysler tells us what to do" excuse. It's a shame really. The $293 I spent on a factory hitch means very little to me. I'm sure that the cost of the hitch, which is significantly less than I paid, means even less to Tacoma Dodge. Yet Eric and his team decided that, however much that was, was more important than me and my families safety and more than I am worth as a customer. Furthermore, I really didn't expect when I complained, that I would get a call back and be yelled at, belittled, degraded and have them insinuate that I was a bad father. Regardless, it is obvious that Tacoma Dodge has lost me as a customer and I sincerely hope that this post reaches at least one person before they make the mistake of taking their vehicle to Tacoma Dodge. There are many other service centers in the area that can do work for you, including warranty work, even if you bought your vehicle through Tacoma Dodge. Please don't let them continue to treat us like they did and still give them your business. You deserve more. You deserve to be respected and have your voice heard. You deserve better than Tacoma Dodge.

Run! Tacoma Dodge are [non-permissible content removed]

byZack_Mon 08/12/2013

Run from Tacoma Dodge, I purchased a new truck from them with a trade in two weeks ago. I am now making payments on both vehicles. If this happens to you please file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the DMV. Below is a copy of my complaint, I believe Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep to be in violation of line 2 of WAC 308-66-195 "(2) If there is a lienholder on any vehicle acquired by the dealer, the dealer must obtain possession of the title by paying off any balance due to the lienholder no later than the close of the second business day following the date of acquisition of the vehicle by the dealer. For purposes of this section, if a dealer takes possession of a vehicle as a trade-in, a dealer acquires that trade-in vehicle when the dealer takes possession of the vehicle and unconditionally sells another vehicle for which the trade-in vehicle is part of the price in accordance with RCW 46.70.180(4)." And possibly RCW 19.116.050 "A dealer engages in an act of unlawful transfer of ownership interest in motor vehicles when all of the following circumstances are met: (1) The dealer does not pay off any balance due to the secured party on a vehicle acquired by the dealer, no later than the close of the second business day after the acquisition date of the vehicle; and (2) The dealer does not obtain a certificate of title under RCW 46.70.124 for each used vehicle kept in his or her possession unless that certificate is in the possession of the person holding a security interest in the dealer's inventory; and (3) The dealer does not transfer the certificate of title after the transferee has taken possession of the motor vehicle." On Saturday 7/27/2013 I purchased a new vehicle from Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep. As part of this purchase I traded in a used vehicle with a balance due to a lien holder (B.E.C.U.). The seller agreed to pay off the balance to to the lien holder, this is documented in the "Retail Installment Sale Contract" and in the "Vehicle Buyers Order" that I have attached. There is a payment due to the lien holder on 8/13/2013, the dealer documented this but I unfortunately did not get a copy of that paper work. I was verbally assured that they would get the pay off amount to the lien holder before the next payment was due. I would Like to note that I did not check the box acknowledging there arbitration clause, this can be seen in the attached documents. As of Saturday 8/10/2013 the dealer has not paid the balance due or made contact with the lien holder. I went to the dealer in person the morning of 8/10/2013 and asked to speak with a manager. I asked why the lien was not paid and told the manager that there is a payment due on 8/13/2013. I could not get a solid answer, I was told that "the check to the lien holder is probably in the mail" and "the check could just be sitting on somebody's desk". I asked if they could verify that a check had in fact been written and I was told "the woman that writes the checks works in the building across the street". I asked if they could call her, I was told "She has today off, we can't call her". I explained to the manager my findings in WAC 306-66-195 and I was told, "no law like that exists", "I have never seen or heard of a law like that", "we have as much time as we need to secure money from your new lien to pay off your old lien" I commented that this could possibly be a breach of contract, I then asked the manager if he knew where my trade in was. He responded with "I don't know where it is". I asked if he could find it and he said "I don't think I could find it, we could have sold it by now". This lead me to believe there is a possible RCW 19.116.050 violation. I explained to the manager again that there is a payment due to the lien holder on 8/13/2013 and that if I can not get confirmation from the lean holder of the balance being paid off by 12:00pm Monday 8/12/2013 I would make a payment myself to assure that my credit is not damaged by a late payment. The manager responded by telling me "It won't count as a late payment if it is less then 30 days passed due". We went back and fourth on this for a minute or so, I realized I was not going to be getting anywhere by talking to the dealer so I told the manager that I will be seeking legal help and left.

Outstanding

byjetblast117on 04/02/2013

I didnt know what to expect when i showed up to this volume dealer. My salesman was very friendly and understood my needs. Victoria showed me the Cherokee and explained everything in detail! I was very impressed with her professionalism and dedication to the customer. The manager was very friendly and spent a lot of time talking to customers and being patient with deals. He listened to my concerns and made everything haggle free. I was very surprised how easy going they are over at Tacoma Dodge. Everyone had a chip on their shoulder and seemed to enjoy working there. You dont see that often! The staff at Tacoma Dodge have a lot of patience with customers and really do want you to come back. They made a deal on my Cherokee that I could not walk away from. I didnt have any negative experiences at this dealership. It was very fun and easy going. The only challenge was parking on their lot. They have so much inventory that it can be challenging to maneuver around their lot. I visited the dealership on my motorcycle so I can park much easier! I definitely recommend Tacoma Dodge to everyone and I will plan on another purchase from them in the future.

Quick and courteous response to on-line inquiry

byarizonaagenton 09/14/2011

I was on-line searching for a Dodge SRT8 Challenger. I submitted an inquiry to Tacoma Dodge. Within 15 minutes, I received a phone call on my cell from "Jamie" at Tacoma Dodge! Jamie was very helpful, said she would send me an internet quote on the car I had inquired about right away, and stated that she would beat any other price by $500.00. There was no pressure whatsoever, requiring me to "come in" to get a price. I intend to do business with her when I purchase my Challenger. Thank you. Mike Larsen USN RET
