Sold broken car dishonest dealer
Sold me a “working” used car as is. Battery was dead and could not test drive but assured me they would correct any issues. Went to pick it up and it was loaded with codes. Needed 8,400.00 dollars in repairs. Discovered they purchased it out of state at an auction and never inspected it before selling. Loaded with codes and needed an engine rebuild and 2 wheel bearings, transfer box and more. Would not pass required emissions for DMV. They did not care, told me it was my problem now and Vermont Auto Dealer Association backed them up when I complained to the Attorney General. Took 3 months to get them to register it and pay NYS the taxes. I will never buy a car in Vermont again or from Carbone Auto Group.
Friendly, helpful staff and a decent inventory of Honda vehicles to choose from. Our sales representative was the nicest, and the most informative of any car sales person we have ever dealt with. In fact, because he was firm, but friendly, as was your sales manager, we closed the deal much faster than usual.
Serious lack of morals
I want to tell a cautionary tale about my experience with Carbone. I bought a 2005 escape in March 2016. It had almost 112,000 miles on it, but I was assured by the sales man that it had been well taken care of. I won't go into too much detail on here. As of right now the truck has broken down on the side of the road twice. Stranding both my son and I hours from home. Those 2 break downs have cost me around $1,000 in repairs. On top of the cost of up keep and tires. Oh and the work on the front end that Larry Cole "graciously' had done 'out of the kindness of his heart' when I complained the first time. Now he will tell you that because I drive the truck and have put 20,000 on the vehicle since I bought it these cost repairs are to be expected and or are my own fault. I however thought that when you buy a vehicle it is because you intend to drive that vehicle, not just have it sit in the driveway. Carbone sold me a lemon, and will not admit to it. When I asked about bringing it back and getting what I paid for the truck, I was told they couldn't do that because of the mileage and repairs needed on the truck. They will not do the right thing because I drive the vehicle. Now I am stuck in a vehicle that I have spent 1/2 the amount of my loan in repairs. Here is my question for you Carbone, if your mother/sister/daughter was in the same position I am in would you handle it the same way? Shame on all of you!!
2014 Honda Civic. Couldnt have been happier.
I began the leasing process for my Civic in October of 2014. My representative Scott could not have been any more helpful. He was dedicated to helping me find the best vehicle for my circumstances. He appropriated a lease as the best option for my circumstances. He even helped me use my recently acquired Bachelor's degree to lower the downpayment. I have no regrets on my decision and recommend Scott to anyone in need of a new vehicle.
Joe Baity has been selling/leasing cars to me and my husband for 10+ years. He listens to what our needs are and always finds a way to meet them. This time, he gathered the cars that were in our criteria and we were on our way out the door with a new vehicle within 3 hours. Many thanks to Joe and the staff at Carbone for making this happen.
My experience at Carbone Honda of Bennington was wonderful! The salesman treated me very well and worked hard along with the GM to get me the best deal they could. Everything was done in a very timely fashion so I didn't feel like I spent my whole day at the dealership. I feel they went above and beyond to get me exactly what I wanted. Yes, I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. -Sarah H.
good people, high prices
great salesmanship but their prices compared to some dealerships in Albany are a little too high, my advice if you live in the area, travel down to Albany area and compare prices it might save you the much needed money, if you don't care, go there they're great!
Nice people to do business with... really!
About three months ago I purchased a brand new, 2008 Accord coupe from Carbone Honda of Bennington and can truthfully say I have no regrets. The sales staff, my sales associate and the sales manager were very friendly, straight-forward, and seemed genuinely interested in getting me what I desired as quickly as possible. After getting the "run around" from local dealers in and near Albany New York, Carbone Honda of Bennington Vermont was a refreshing change... They are very easy to deal with and I would reccomend them to anyone...A little bit of a drive, but well worth it....
