Excellent service from the initial contact with Mercedes Benz San Antonio via telephone, arrival of tow truck, and until delivery of vehicle after repairs. Jeff Sauceda kept us informed throughout the time the service department had our vehicle and coordinated some repair costs through Mercedes Benz. We have always received excellent service from the San Antonio Mercedes Benz service team from our first contact in the 1990s and since returning to San Antonio in 2002.

My first time in to SATX MB was more than incredible. I had just moved home from SC and had a problem with one of my air vents. They went above and beyond getting my car back in service. Battery replacement

Had to call AAA to start my car. Went directly to Benson Mercedes. They confirmed battery had to be replaced. It was under warrant so no cost. This was done in less than 1hour. They also fix the floor mat and washed the car.

Service of GLE 350 - just ok

I moved to San Antonio recently from Knoxville, TN. Had bought my GLE 350 in TN and had taken it for servicing at the Benz Knoxville lication a couple of times. When I moved to San Antonio I took my vehicle in this week for a problem with the Collision Assistant Plus being inoperative. The service at the two locations in Knoxville and San Antonio could not have been any more stark. First the service center itself - the knoxville location is top notch almost feels like a 5 star hotel with hot breakfast and computer stations to work on if you need and the bathrooms - they were spanking clean and huge. Compare that to the one here in San Antonio was very small space and felt cramped - agreed that many people just take loaners but it wasn't a very welcoming sort of space. When you own a piece of luxury like a Benz you expect more. The other point is with the service personnel- in Knoxville my concierge within the two visits knew all about me - and if so happened after some chit chat that we go to the same church etc. both of the times I went he would go the extra mile in not just doing the wash but cleaning the inside of the car which was highly appreciated. In San Antonio I felt the service personnel were more cold - maybe it's a difference in the cultures in Knoxville and San Antonio.. but that's just the feeling I got. All in all my service was done without any hitch but the service location/personnel touch could be improved at least when I compare it to another location. Thanks

From catastrophic component failure to brand loyalty gold

Let me start by saying I rarely write online reviews for service providers, unless they are truly exceptional. After my latest service encounter with MB of SA, I felt compelled to tell my story as an example of how fantastic this dealership service center is. Recently, my CLS550 suffered a complete transmission failure due to a leak that had formed in the transmission cooler that had allowed coolant to mix into the transmission fluid. While not common, the nature of this type of component failure is undetectable and is usually found after the transmission has been damaged beyond repair. I found myself staring at a $11k transmission replacement that was out of warranty (car has 70k miles). MB of SA immediately issued a courtesy vehicle to me while they petitioned with Mercedes Benz for a customer goodwill repair discount. I kept my fingers crossed that MB might have been willing to assist with the replacement, but didn't expect much, as they were under no obligation to do anything. Well, I was stunned with MB response to the petition... in a good way. MB agreed to pick up the entire cost of replacement of the transmission, radiator, and torque converter. Parts had to be shipped from Germany, and the overall time of replacement took just under a month. During this period, MB of SA kept me updated whenever something pertinent happened with my repair, and also let me keep the courtesy vehicle until they were able to return my car to me. Both Mercedes Benz and MB of SA represent the highest level of customer care and brand quality. I cannot thank them enough and recommend both of them with highest confidence. This experience has made me a MB and MB of SA customer for life.

Couldn't have been simpler!

Made service appointment on line on Thursday to bring in the car on Monday. Asked for a loaner. All done on line. Dropped off the car at the appointment time, loaner was waiting for me. Car finished be mid afternoon and email included the repair order and invoice which I signed on line also. Just so simple. Not at all like the manufacturers or dealers on my other vehicles.

3 Year Maintenance Plan

Purchased a new E-350 BluTec in May 2013 and a 3-year maintenance plan. Recently had 30,000 mile maintenance at a privately owned service garage. Technician showed me the 2 air filters and cabin filter and they were the worst I've ever seen. Our car is garaged and only highway and local street miles. Tech said they have never been changed (original parts). Also, 2 bottles of Blu had to be added since MB of SA maintenance in May 2016. We have been smelling vinegar scent in the cabin and this is the result of MB of SA not adding enough Blu. Cutting corners no doubt. Lastly, new technician told me to run the car for 30 minutes on the highway to circulate the Blu. Never told that by MB of SA over the last 3 years of maintenance there. Sorry I paid for the 3-year maintenance plan. Will never have my car serviced there again.

Called for appointment on a Thursday. Given appt. for Monday at 4:00 and was informed I would have a loaner. Called the next day. Said they were having trouble recreating problem. Service Representative said they would try that. Called late pm to tell me car was ready and they had found the problem. Told me what it was and how the fixed it. Went in Thursday, returned loaner and picked up my car.

The only negative thing about my recent service experience was it took longer to complete than promised. The service personnel are prompt and courteous. The do offer the use of a loaner car or shuttle. There is a comfortable complementary snack/beverage area, big screen TV and the use of computers and phones if you decide to wait. If you purchase or service your car you will receive complementary car washes.

Top Notch Service Department

The real deal, they get my Mercedes in and out in reasonable time, they give me a car to drive as courtesy ( usually another Mercedes ) they fix it right, they treat me fair, location is downtown and the staff is professional.
