Excellent Service!

The service staff was very nice. My service advisor, Cole, did an outstanding job of explaining what I needed and kept me informed of the time it was taking. My vehicle was returned to me very clean and the work was excellent! I also like that I received a follow up call to ensure that I was happy with my service.

Nice and personable employees. They were extremely helpful and gave great recommendations. I got my tires replaced and spare tire harness fixed for the next time I have a flat it will work.

A terrible service department

Don't go to this service department, especially if you are a woman. I was told on the phone that I could have my car brought in to have two service items (a bulletin update and a recall from GM) taken care of in addition to my oil change. I get there and was told there are no service items attached to my car according to the GM system and that I needed a "required" fuel flush for a car with 6,000 miles, which coincidentally was not free. I went home and contacted GM directly and was told that the two outstanding bulletins for service were valid and attached to my VIN# and that a fuel flush was not required or even recommended service.

Outstanding Purchase Experience

This was by far the most pleasant experience my wife and I have ever had purchasing a new vehicle. The team of Clint Barnard, our salesperson, Bubba, the sales manager and James Gibbs, in the finance department, did an outstanding job. I have never purchased a new car where I didn't feel like I was in a constant battle with the sales team and then have to gear up and battle with the finance person who was trying to sell me stuff I didn't want nor need....until my recent experience at Tom Light Chevrolet. I live over two hours away from this dealership, and I wasn't looking to purchase a new truck, but the sales team made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a new 2016 Silverado LT Texas Edition. The price was negotiated over the phone and when we arrived, it didn't take long to get into the finance office. My wife had been checking out extended warranties prior to us purchasing the Chevy as she had recently purchased a used VW CCR. She was amazed at the prices we were offered and not only did we purchase the Chevy extended warranty for my Silverado, she purchased one for her vehicle as well. James did an outstanding job of explaining what was available to us, but he did a good job of knowing when to back off when we weren't interested in something he was trying to sell us. After all the paperwork was taken care of, Clint Barnard went over the vehicle with us and made sure we understood what the truck had and where everything was located in very simple terms until we felt comfortable. I also forgot to mention, that the truck did not have a bedliner in it, but the dealership got it installed between the time we made the deal over the phone and the time I arrived at the dealership to pick it up, which was about 5 hours. The overall experience of buying a vehicle at Tom Light Chevrolet was outstanding and I will definitely recommend them to others. It was worth the drive!!

Don't do business with these folks

Wish I could give a negative instead of a one star. They don't deserve even one star. I bought a user car here, and according to the car fax report they had done most of the maintenance on the vehicle for the previous owner. I buy the car only to find out it has a faulty brake system and a leaking heater coil, which they did not disclose. they don't return phone calls and when we finally got to talk to the GM, he basically said "too bad, we don't plan to do anything." Don't buy a used car from these folks they are not honest and they don't stand behind their products. Once they get your money, they don't know your name. I went to a dealer in Bryan expecting small town service and what I got was big city [non-permissible content removed].

Best Experience to date buying a new car

This was by far the best, and quickest, car buying experience my wife and I have ever had We did our homework before going in and our Sales Rep, Cory, was very quick to respond every time we sent him yet another question via text or email. The Sales Manager, and Finance were also some of the best we have ever dealt with. No hassles, no pushy sales tactics. Just good friendly service!

Love my new car

I brought in a Chevy Cruze which I love. When I started shopping for my new car I went to several dealerships and was dissapointed with their sales techniques and how pushy they were. I decided to go to Tom Light because I had purchased there before and was very satisfied then. Larry helped me out with looking first at what kind of vehicle needs I had and then what would be the be finacial option for me. It was very easy and no pressure at all.
