Worst service ever!
After reaching a price agreement the manager David Brown said he would remove the car from the available for sale list and send over wire instructions. I tried contacting the next day since I had not received the instructions, and my sales rep, Carlton Watson, and the manager were not responding. I was then told the car was sold after my offer was accepted. I was shocked as and could not believe it. Won't send anyone I know here, that's for sure.

Gwatney mazda is simply the best in customer service and supreme satisfaction!! I've been a customer for 15 years and have bought several vechilcles and will continue to only shop with this dealership beause I trust them and they work really hard for their customers. If they can't get you into a nice vechilcle of your choice no one can! They work hard to provide the best quality service and satifiscation!! The entire staff is awesome. Carlton Watson is the best and the only salesman I will ever trust and buy cars from. Him and Mrs. Babara want quit until they provide 100 percent satisfaction!! At least 8 of my family & friends have bought cars from them and will continue too!!!
Great car buying experience
My salesman was Carlton Watson. He was warm and personable, and not at all pushy. I felt very comfortable working with him. The sales manager, finance person, and service team were also very friendly and seemed honest and straightforward. I got a great deal on my car and trade in value that was more than fair. I would highly recommend Carlton and this Mazda Dealership
Richard Washington has been an awesome salesperson during our car buying experience. We experienced some problems with a car we purchased at Gwatney and Richard worked with us until the issues were resolved and helped us when we decided to purchase another car. My sales person was Carlton Watson, who was very friendly, professional and efficient. His high energy and enthusiasm made the process of purchasing a car very simple. My husband and I had planned to go shopping to other dealerships in the area, however, after being approached by Mr. Watson, there was no need to go elsewhere! We are extremely happy with our new vehicle and our shopping experience was very quick, painless and enjoyable. I will definitely refer others to Gwatney Mazda of Germantown and suggest that they ask for Carlton Waston!
Carlton Watson gave me Great Service when buying my daughter a vehicle. He was very cordial and informative when giving us the information about the 2008 Honda Accord that I was interested in. I got a very good deal for my money.
Poor sales team
I went and test drove a car and was working with the sales person that evening and was told they would get back to me on some finance requests/changes. I get a text at 1:45PM the next day saying they sold the car last night even though I was already working with a sales person on purchasing it. Very shady business and completely unprofessional.
My experience with Gwatney Mazda was great. Carlton went out of his way to drive to another city to pick up my SUV. This was my first time buying a car on my own and they made the entire process very easy. I would highly recommend them.

My sales person was Carlton Watson! He provided me with superb customer service. When I walked through the door, he greeted me with a welcomed smile! He knew everything about the cars and there was no pressure what so ever through the process. I would recommend him over anyone there and would recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone! You should not go to this dealership unless you have days to spend tracking down information and paperwork that they are responsible for. My used car experience with this company was so bad that I would not refer an enemy to this dealership.
I had an exceptional experience at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown. I recently purchased a Mazda 6 and I adore it. Its stunningly beautiful, a dream to drive, and gets remarkable gas mileage. I visited many dealerships during my car search and was blown away by the professionalism and courtesy of Barbara F., Christopher S., Russ V., and finance manager Tammy. The staff at Gwatney took special care of me and it is clear that they believe in the product they are selling. Gwatney Mazda now has my business for life. Car buying can be intimidating, but the folks at Gwatney made the experience delightful and stress-free. Gwatney employees enjoy what they do. Christopher S. was a pleasure to deal with. He initially responded to my Internet inquiry and followed up by taking the time to answer my questions and show me special features on the vehicle. There are a lot of 5 star ratings on this dealership, and I understand why now. Being a family owned company, it's apparent that sales manager Barbara F. and the entire staff work as a team to make car-buying a first rate experience for their customers. Gwatney Mazda is an excellent dealership and I highly recommend it.
Great Sale Person!
First I would like to say that I am not a big fan of used car sales people. I recently went shopping for a used vehicle and visited several dealer over the course of a month. I was always greeted with the same response ( a little tongue and cheek ) hi, we don't have what you want but for several thousand dollars more you will just love these other cars. High pressure sales and tactics, this car won't be here tomorrow, car just arrived the engine is still warm and 8000 people have already looked at this one. My favorite response is when you ask, so what can you tell me about this car, well its for sale at only $45,000 has only 350,000 miles looks great and runs like its brand new. When you pop the hood you notice the engine is missing. Enough of my sarcasm let me get to the point. If you're in the market for a used car and don't want the above hassles and tactics. I highly recommend that you ask for Nolan at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown. Nolan is a straight shoot from the hip no pressure sales person. He won't try to sell you something he knows you don't want or can't afford. He has a firm grasp of the current inventory. If they don't have the exact model you are looking for he will show you cars of the same style and price range. He listens to what you have to say and his honesty and integrity are impeccable. I give Nolan and Gwatney of Mazda of Germantown 5 stars!
great customer care
this is a shout-out to the two main people that were so nice and helpful! Mr. Carlton W. (sales rep) was so courteous and did everything to ensure my satisfaction. even after a couple of small "hiccups". after a price change, he made sure that it was fixed immediately! time wise i was there longer than I would have wanted to be, but, good things come to those who are patient. secondly, Tammy B. (financial service director) was very thorough and very nice. she was very quick to fix the price change and both her and Carlton made me feel extremely comfortable when talking to them! also, it was nice to hear Carlton in the background (while i was waiting) singing a song or the a,b,c's with a young child as another customer was with him. i would definitely recommend going to this place to purchase a vehicle as you will be treated as a person and not a number while you are there. and i must not forget Gary M. he was the first sales rep i met that quickly showed me a couple of cars before redirecting me to Carlton to get the ball rolling. and the rest of the staff that i talked to were also very courteous as well. thank you all!

CX-9 Buying Experience
We worked with Bubba and Dave on the purchase of our new CX-9 and it was by far the easiest purchase we've ever made. One reason we chose this dealership was because the suv I had been driving for 12 years(different mfg.)was also bought from another one of their locations. Repeat business is something I think we can all appreciate. My husband and I also have USAA insurance and wanted to take advantage of their car buying service, but the closest participating dealer was 3 hours away. We approached Gwatney with our dilemma and they were so accommodating, working with us to honor the price. This is what I call no-haggling, hassle-free car buying! I'm very pleased with the attention and service we received from this dealership and its sales associates. I will most likely be back in another 12 years!
An incredible buying experience!
I could not recommend Gwatney Mazda more highly. Barbara Finn was incredibly pleasant and attentive to my questions, and after emailing her back and forth for upwards of two weeks, she was able to completely exceed my expectations and put me behind the wheel of a car I never thought I'd be able to afford! The folks at Gwatney stuck with me when I hesitated over matters of pricing, and that was very important throughout my buying process. They didn't even begin to act flustered or condescending when I had to draw the line on some figures, and they did everything they could do to work with me. I was treated with utmost respect and genuine friendliness, and since I am only 22, I have to commend them on their kindness since my biggest initial worry was that I would be blown off for being young. On the night of my test drive, Sam, Steve, Bubba, and I all talked and joked for quite awhile, even after I made it clear to them that Barbara had my sale. Those guys and gals are definitely a tight-knit group of quality salespeople that aren't just eyeballing the dollar sign over your head. I could never have imagined owning such an amazing car at my age, but my new Mazda3 is a dream come true, and I have the fantastic people at Gwatney to thank for that! Excellent & Flexible Sales Service
I worked with Jeff and Bubba to get a 2013 Mazda CX-5. After unable to get a fair local deal I began examining Mazda dealerships in a 100 miles radius (from Little Rock). Gwatney Mazda contacted me immediately after my online inquiry and we can to terms on a fantastic deal in less than a half hour on the phone. I left Little Rock late that afternoon and they waited until I arrived at 10:00pm to finalize the sale. That is incredible service.
The BEST Car-buying Experience EVER
I don't like car shopping, and my husband hates it even more. We hate the haggling, the pressure to buy more than we can afford, and finance folks who won't to tell you exactly how much you're paying for the car. But we didn't experience any of that thanks to Barbara Finn. We have bought two vehicles from Barbara. And both times, we did all the preliminary work through email. So by the time we stepped onto the lot, Barbara had everything ready to go. The first car we bought was for our sixteen-year-old, and Barbara actually picked that one out for us. The car was a perfect match for our daughter. And the price was just right. All we had to do was come in, say yes, and sign the paperwork. The second car was a surprise for my husband, and Barbara helped me pull that one off without my husband even knowing I was getting him a car.
