Great experience from start to finish. Robert Baransky went out of his way to make us happy. He explained features in depth and answered any and all questions.
Emergency Service Visit
Excellent! My service advisor Dianna worked me in on an emergency basis - severe blow-out, and had the vehicle repaired right after lunch. Since we were unable to pick it up that afternoon, we even had a couple of extra items of service added, and picked it up the following day as promised. No problems at Jeff Gordon Chevy with any kind of service!!
Great experience from start to finish. Robert Baransky went out of his way to make us happy. He explained features in depth and answered any and all questions.
best dealership...best salesman
This is our 2nd car we have purchased from Jeff Gordon. Our salesman, Sharod Wallace, is one of the major reasons we returned. Sharod is knowledgeable, courteous and takes care of his customers from beginning to end and then in an ongoing relationship as well. When you purchase from Jeff Gordon and Sharod, they make sure that your entire purchase from beginning to end is satisfactory and that your experience is satisfactory. Also, Stacy in the service department has been tremendously helpful to us in our recent purchase as well. I've told them all at Jeff Gordon, as long as Sharod Wallace is there, I will continue to return to Jeff Gordon, they honestly have a gem in this young man!
My Equinox Service Visit with the Jeff Gordon Chevy Service Team
I arrived before my appointed time by a little over an hour. I was checked in promptly and went to the waiting room where a television was playing some humorous episodes on HGTV. Shortly after my appointment time I was surprised to get a text from my service advisor saying that my Equinox was ready to go!! My advisor met me at the door to the service drive, got me checked out and on my way while I thought I should be still waiting!! WOW!!!
Good service, good prices
My wife and I bought a 2013 GMC Yukon 12/30/16. The sales experience was a good one. I had Mike as a sales manager who seemed to be very knowledgeable about the products he was selling. He worked with us and gave us a fair deal for out trade in as well as for the price of the vehicle. Unfortunately, our radio broke about 2 months later. After bringing in the vehicle and having them take a look, they determined that the radio had died. Luckily enough for us, Jimmy and Stuart in the sales department took the time to really work with us and understand how frustrated that we were. With their help, the radio is going to be working like brand new in no time and for a very reasonable price, and with very prompt service. I might start trying to bring my dodge to them for service as well!
why make your own mistake, learn from mine.
Why make your own mistake when you can learn from mine. Went from extremely happy to extremely disappointed in about a month. I can only assume the high star rating is only because most people haven't had to try using their "awesome" warranty. I bought a 2015 Jeep Cherokee in mid November. The night I bought it my sales associate Chris Whitehurst noticed that the front left tire had about 20ish psi when it is supposed to be at 36psi so he had it filled up. I really liked it so I went with it, it came with the extended warranty and I bought the second best warranty avaliable. Took it home and the next week when it got colder and I started using the heat I noticed the driver side vent didn't work. I went away for a couple weeks up to VA for training came back and my tire was visibly low on air (22psi) so luckily there was a air station half a mile down the road. Contacted my sales associate Chris and he told me to come in on the 20th to have it fixed. Got there and was told I didn't have an appointment. Sat in the waiting room and 2 hours later im told by Matt Verge that there is a nail in the tire and there's no possible way it had the nail in it when I bought it. So I'm told I need a new tire for 190$ and the vent will cost 700$! (seven hundred dollars) on top of the 100$ for the initial inspection, these were issues wrong with it when I bought it. Lets recap, I buy a vehicle for a little over 19 grand and the second from the best warranty they offer and here I'm being told I need to pay 1000$ to get my vehicle the way it should had been when I bought it. I will make sure all the guys I work with know not to waste the gas and time making their way down here from Camp Lejeune. If youre going to get screwed my as well get screwed atleast get screwed locally, not an hour and half drive away. I will jump through some hoops to have this dealer put on the not recommended list. After talking to my sales associate Chris he was able to get with the maintenance department and said he was able to take half the cost of the tire so I'm extremely happy that Chris was able to make it apparent that I was sold a vehicle with a nail in the tire. I should had made sure the tire issue was fixed before I signed papers so I'm willing to pay for half of that mistake. Hopefully my vent issue can get resolved without a 700$ price tag.
Recent radio issue resolved
I had a very strange issue, with radio cutting out, and the dealer reps and technical staff identified the issue promptly and completely resolved the issue. It is great knowing that top notch professionals are there ready to assist. I wish to thank Jeff Gorden Chevrolet for outstanding support, and would definitely recommend them
Great sales team
After a negative dealing with another Chevy dealership. I called Jeff Gordan Chevrolete and made an appointment through Katy, the online consultant (who was extremely nice and polite) to come in and see if they could help me out. I came in to look at and possibly buy a new Silverado 2500HD LTZ Z71, I was greeted by the the team leader Ruben who was extremely polite and lisened to what I was looking for. He had James Chirico take care of us. James did an awesome job showing us what they had and didn't waste my time when I told him exactly what I wanted. They had the exact truck I was looking for. James took care of everything and gave amazing advice when it came to options and looking at the various trucks they had which were more than I could possibly imagine a dealer having. I got a great deal in the end with extras I was looking for. The Finance guy (who's name I can't remember) did a great job of explaining everything to us and there was nothing left unexplained. Great team, great dealership and they actually call you back when they say they will, very professional team all the way around. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a New car or truck. This won't be the last vehicle we buy from JG Chevy.
You can't expect to hold me accountable for something I said
I am the average consumer like you. I did a thorough research before committing to 2015 Equinox. As advertised, seemed to be the best value to comparable models. Like many people I am buying a new home. Having payments would hurt the loan process and approval amount. Because I have a great credit score and the money, I decided to do a one time pay for the 2 year lease up front as one payment so that it wouldn't impact my home loan. I raised my concerns about what would happen if I was in an accident and the car was totaled because I would need to do something different if it wasn't covered. Their finance manager(Nick) assured me any unused months would be prorated and given back to me by their gap coverage. Based on what was said to me, I bought the car and 6 months later was hit by an uninsured motorist that ran a red light. My insurance did their part. I waited almost 3 months, trying to work with them. They didn't give me any of my money back (gap coverage). The contract I signed with Nick did not specify that it did or didn't include gap coverage. So they chose not. When I tried to talk to Nick at Jeff Gordon about it, he quickly replied "yes they should give you the unused months back". When I explained they weren't, his response was "well you can't expect to hold me accountable for something I said". Before acting irrationally, I gave Jeff Gordon the opportunity to fix their mistake. They tried to sell me a car was their solution. I am taking them to court. But my message is this, if I had known about how shady and dishonest they were, I definitely would've gone somewhere else. If they can lie about whatever they like and not hold to it, is this someone you want to do business with?
Awesome sales team
2015 Silverado 2500 HD, Duramax, 4x4 Z71. I initially called and spoke with Ryan Stimmel Because I didn't live close by, he emailed details for a couple trucks that I was interested in. The next day I drove 4+ hours to see and drive the truck. Ryan and Robert Baransky were extremely accommodating and Robert spent a lot of time showing me everything about the truck. I knew I was going to purchase from Jeff Gordon Chevrolet based on them. I came home and finalized the paperwork and drove back the next day to take delivery. Robert had everything ready and the process was very smooth. I couldn't be happier with the deal I received and the service of everyone. It was worth the time spent driving to the dealership and I will recommend them to my friends. Awesome team...
Not much of a story to tell. My Service Advisor is Stuart. This man makes my life easy when it relates to servicing my Tahoe. I've dealt with both Lexus and Mercedes Service Advisors, each being top-notch in their related category. Each could learn something from Stuart, he stands heads and shoulders above them. This man personifies what should be expected from a Service Advisor, Professionalism, Attention to Detail, Personable and Knowledgeable to name a few attributes.
Jeff Gorden Chevy & Errington are the best!!!
My husband and I were looking for a truck that could tow our camper, we had already bought from Jeff Gordon Chevy and were very happy with the service so we decided to see what you all could do for us. Our salesperson was Errington, and he is by far the best car salesperson we have ever delt with. He is both polite and knowledgable. He never made us feel pressured and made sure that our needs were met. In the end we ended up with a new Silverado 2500 with all the bells and whistles we wanted. I honestly feel that you guys should have Errington train your salespeople, it will more than likely increase your sales. Thank you all so very very much!!! -The Winter's
A failed attempt at body work.
My 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan had damage to the back bumper and lift gate. Geico sent it to Jeff Gordon Chevrolet for repairs. Evidently, employees of Jeff Gordon Chevrolet are beyond incompetent: The Grand Caravan logo was installed in the wrong location. The Flex Fuel logo was missing. New damage was present on the lift gate. The chrome and rubber step pad on the bumper was only half installed, leaving one end about 1 inch in the air, above the bumper. I highly recommend you NEVER step foot on the lot of Jeff Gordon Chevrolet - unless you detest your vehicle.
Refused to help me...simply put.
Let me try to make my horrible experience with Jeff Gordon Chevrolet as short a story as possible. Let's begin with me going to purchase a vehicle from them. The Salesmen Brett was a nice guy, but not trained and it was obvious his sales managers, oblivious to my needs, were pushing him to push ME into a car. I even felt bad for the guy a little. I eventually ended up buying from him and grew to love my car. I thought it had alignment problems, and they did align it which helped with the shaking in the steering some, but I returned it a few weeks later with same complaint. The shaking had not completely ceased. At my 30 day check up I was told I needed front and back rotors. (Why it was shaking since the BEGINNING!) Now, I'm not new to the car industry. First time buyer, but I suspected that I was buying from a reputable dealership not LOVITT'S or any other lemon-selling car lot that doesn't give a crap about their customer! I know that in a matter of weeks I didn't wear down the brakes and rotors on that car. They also told me that my rotors couldn't be shaved they would only be replaced. I asked for HARD COPY of inspection I know HAS to be done before you sell a car and it was PROVEN that whoever did the inspection fibbed (in pencil) the inspection. The back was so much a lie that they had no choice but to admit their fault and replace. Do you think they would do the opposite the same? NO! And of course when THEY were paying for it, they shaved down the rotors, but when I was quoted for the front it was reiterated to me that they could only REPLACE the rotors. I had that taken care of elsewhere needless to say. Around the same time that I was experiencing the shaking I noticed every once in awhile my car would shut off while I was idling at a light or stop sign. Intermittently of course and they of course couldn't duplicate it, nor was there a light showing. I was told repeatedly (as I took it there repeatedly) that they didn't have a Chrysler tech so they had no way of knowing what was going on with the vehicle! So much for finding out, or even driving the car over to Chrysler themselves to reduce hassle for me, considering I bought from them and all. NOPE! Couldn't get THAT upset about it because they couldn't duplicate it though. Fast forward to it starting to run rough. Check engine light came on. I was quoted $600 worth of work that MIGHT be the problem. EVAP canister (which I was told wouldn't cause it to cut off or run rough), throttle body cleaned, and tune up. But was reminded they weren't Chrysler techs and that it may not fix the problem. I couldn't get it done at the time. And service engine light never came back on so no other mechanic can even tell that was the problem, and I was told elsewhere if it hasn't come back on it may not need to be replaced. Fast forward to today. My engine (distinctly the engine) is making a loud roaring noise and even clicks sometimes. I've had two belts replaced in engine that most likely would have been covered by the extended power train warranty that I purchased, but of course no reimbursement. You would think they would take the time to dig into these things right? NOPE! Not even if you bought there! So today I was told by a new service writer I've never dealt with to take it to Chrysler! And it's not a member of the Hendrick automotive group (where the warranty was purchased), the closest one to guarantee that is Fayetteville and I could feel free to take it there. Of course I won't know until I get to Chrysler whether they'll except my warranty or not! At least the Wilmington Chrysler dealership has good customer service! It's a wonder so many dealerships get so much of Jeff Gordon's business. And it's not like they care! They get their money, and spit you out. They certainly don't care about customer retention, at least not from what I've seen or heard. Here's a clue, if you won't service them, don't sell them! And I'd rather you kick me off your lot then sell me a piece of crap just to push it off the lot when I'm trusting in your name! I understand 'As is', but what's the point of purchasing a warranty if you won't even LOOK to see if it's something that will be covered? I'm sure Jeff Gordon himself, if he knew the way that place was run would remove his name. I'm trying my hardest to contact as high up as I can go about this. If that car wasn't ready to hit the lot they should have never sold it to me. Evidently they were in such a rush to get rid of it, they didn't even really check the brakes, so I wonder what else they could have lied about? Of course when I ask for management info, the service writer Mark (or Mike) told me to go online. And of course online is only the main number! They answer the phone with "Hello?" and I'm confused on whether I'm calling a business or not, and then I'm put on hold then hung up on. Outstanding customer service, let me tell you! METHINKS NOT!
Condecending and Arrogant
Brought a car in for repair of a tail light circuit under warrenty already approved by GM customer care., The service Writer said they wanted three hours for diagnostics$339, when asked to meet with the shop manager and tech to describe the scope of work they made an appointment for the following morning. When I arrived for the meeting they said they had elected not to work on my car and to take it elsewhere. I, Having considerable industry knowledge, felt that three hours was a stretch and there wasn't three hours of diagnostics necessary , perhaps an hour at the longest. That is why I questioned the quote, and from their response they were basing their estimate on a fair amount of embellishment and inaccuracy provided by their Tech. I feel I caught them in a compromising situation, an inflated diagnostic quote, and rather than work with me they said they would not work on the car. I wonder if this is the business model that made Mr. Hendrick rich or one that he doesn't know about. These people are condecending and arrogant with a very poor business acumen, Stay away ! Something is wrong there.
poor quality assurance
I took my Mercedes to JGC for body work as they were a preferred shop for Geico. When I went to pick up the car, the paint was not even close to being a match The manager told me according to the VIN, that was the correct color. Well apparently he didn't even look at the car before he drove it out of the shop, because it was painfully obvious the color was way off. Also they had to replace the front bumper. They are supposed to use new parts but this bumper was obviously used as it had holes drilled in it (which were not even aligned straight) for a license plate. Mercedes bumpers to not have holes for license plates. Of course the manager insisted it was new. Do not use these guys, they are terrible
I am all about schedules. Jeff Gordon meets that need. I can schedule an appointment, drop my truck & the shuttle takes me to work & picks me up when the vehicle is ready.
Time is Money
As a business person I have limited time to shop for vehicles. Jeff Gordon Chevrolet makes the process simple and stress free. Their website is user friendly & the sales staff listened to what I wanted and handled all my needs. After a few phone conversations the saleperson has what I am looking for pulled up when I arrive for my scheduled appointment and things go quickly from there.
Recently I was shopping for a new Silverado, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for and stopped by Jeff Gordon Chevrolet to check out their selection. Before I could even get out of my car there was 3 guys coming after me. Well I talked with one of them and decided to look at there trucks, I was trying to tell this guy what I wanted and I don't think he listened to a word I said, he keep trying to show me this loaded down truck that just wasn't what I was looking for, then he got his manager involved and he wouldn't listen either, finally i got away from them and I will never go there again. Who needs all this pressure to buy the wrong truck.
They just don't care.
I had my car serviced there one time and I'll never do it again. They just don't care about customer service, I pulled up to get an oil change and there were 3 guys standing around talking when I walked up, they ignored me for about 5 minutes. When I of them finally asked what I wanted and I told him I needed an oil change, he just treated me like I was wasting his time.
Worst Experience of my Life
Jeff Gordon Chevrolet has driven me from General Motors for life. When having a simple repair performed this dealership managed to damage the paint of my car and damage the interior of my car. In addition to the damage the simple repair was not completed correctly. After 4 attempts to repair the same simple issue I had the vehicle towed to a competent dealership where the work was completed in two days. Repairs for damage caused by Jeff Gordon cost several thousand dollars out of pocket. Not to mention the time, frustration, and cost for there botched attempts to perform maintenance and repairs on the vehicle. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO JEFF GORDON CHEVROLET. I have filed a case with the Better Business Bureau and have been forced to resolve my issues through legal means. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO JEFF GORDON. They are unresponsive, incompetant, and unethical.
