I called ahead of time they had the vehicle ready to view. Finance did not try to sell me on products I don't need. No pressure from the sales woman. Great overall experience.

Horrible Experience

Too bad I can't give less that 1 star. My husband and I went to this dealership to possibly purchase a used vehicle. We were given a price after tax, tag, and dealer fees. We made a counter offer of $1000 less. I always have, like most people do, tried to negotiate a lower price than what is advertised. The salesman immediately made the comment, "Not to be rude, but when you were looking at this vehicle, did you not notice that it was out of your price range?" My husband and I were both highly offended and walked out. I called and spoke with a manager who was apologetic and was supposed to call back the next day to follow up and see what could be done to rectify the situation. I have not heard back. I took off work and drove 2 hours just to be insulted. Unfortunately for them, I had a cash down payment, pre-approval for the loan, and they lost a customer.

Service department pretends to do their job

This Dealership is possibly the worse new car dealership to ever do business with. I purchased the car in October 2016, since then it's been a constant battle. A spare tire was suppose to be included in our purchase it took call after call and visit after visit to get the tire. They finally delivered the tire today which is June 5, 2017. It was suppose to be installed however the older gentlemen who delivered the tire was made unaware of that so that's been Chalked up to just another thing I have to do. The day we purchased the car it was raining so the lying salesman Tim Whitner said that if we brought the car back for the first oil change they would do a full detail. After several visits this still never happened. Even when they kept the car for a week to check the transmission they never washed it. This last trip we went up which was for the tire (which we didn't get until today and the detail which never happened) was awful. Aaron lied and told us they had no more spare tires at the deliver ship, funny thing is I called corporate and magically one appeared, go figure! Marsha the customer service rep that reached out to us first when I continued to bring up these issues and the problems with the transmission assured me all of it would be take care of but Tim was a good Christian man and I should take that into consideration. First and foremost his religious background means nothing to me. And if he was such a honest Christian man we wouldn't have had to battle for the spare since October and it finally gets resolved today. Meanwhile I'm still driving a Kia Optima with a bad transmission. It literally sounds like a rubber band winding up. This has been the worse purchase we could have ever bought. I am literally to the point that I have contacted a business to make signs to go on both sides of this vehicle stating where it was bought and everything that is wrong with it and how terrible this dealership is. This car is a LEMON!!!!!! I wish I would have never purchased a car from this dealership. Oh when the car was dropped off I told the service department that it would have to be driven for at least 30 miles before the problems occurred, they drove it a total of 18 miles on various trips and told me I could bring it back on another time if I wanted too. I driver over and hour to get to the dealership it has been nothing but a waste of time and gas.

This was my first time dealing with the Kia Dealership and why I waited this long I do not know!!!! Everyone was great but I have to say Anthony was awesome, he walked us through everything with ease, he set up everything for me from my phone when everything was finished. He was super nice, we enjoyed sitting and talking with him. so yes I recommend Kia of Hickory and I highley recommend Anthony!!!!

I was a first time car buyer and was scared and nervous. Carlton was kind and caring and really listened to me. He knew my price range and didn't try to pressure me into something I couldn't afford. I felt very relaxed and comfortable by the time I left and I was the proud owner of a beautiful dependable car. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to him.

Paramount means "superior" and the whole experience was just that. great buying experience

we went in with the thought of repairing our Kia Sedona van....but after driving the new Forte and working with Tim, we decided to retire the van and get into some thing smaller and newer. Tim our saleman was very nice and professional. The financing dept. worked with us to get the payment we needed to fit our budget. Over all a great buying experience.

Mediocre at best

I bought a 2013 Dodge Dart on Dec 28. They would not work with me on price at all! I offered them cash, no go. I offered just just slightly below the sticker price ($500), no go. I still ended up buying it. So on the way home I was having problems with it. The cruise control was acting weird, I was getting an error for a parking light out and my touch screen control panel went out. All of this happened within an hour. I took it back and they worked on it and sent me on my way. Not even a week later the clutch was staying compressed on start up and my check engine light came on. I live out of town so I called and they told me to take it to the dodge place. This is where they earn their stars. I was able to drop it off early and get a rental that Kia payed for. Turns out I had to have a new clutch and a master cylinder; there was also a problem with a turbocharger that is covered under the powertrain warranty. Anyhow Kia payed for my car to be fixed out of town 100%. Overall they should be more negotiable, and check what the sale better. But service and the sales manager gets an A+ for working with me to fix my vehicle.

Buying a car for me is very stressful. I am a single woman, on a limited budget, and I need to find a great deal for my money. Paramount Kia in Hickory came through. I had purchased my 2010 Kia Soul from another dealer in Mooresville, NC and I just felt taken when I left the dealership. They didn’t follow through on their commitment for what they would sell the car for, or what they would give me for a trade-in and ringing a huge cow bell when you purchase a car from them feels like they are gloating about their great sale and commission…..and just adding to the exclamation point of SUCKER. The vibe at Paramount was completely different. My sale’s woman Cathy Rivas was wonderful. Very understanding. I didn’t feel pressured or coerced into something that I didn’t want, or something I couldn’t afford. They managed to work a deal where my other car was paid off, and I had some to apply to my new purchase. I left paramount feeling good about buying a car. No cowbell (thank god). I would definitely recommend Paramount to all my friends and family, and feel like they would be taken care of. Thank you again, Cathy, for being a great saleswoman and a really great lady. I enjoyed talking with you and getting to know you. You will see me again when I need a new car. I am loving my new little Kia Soul. Our Sales Person Chris Haithcock was so nice and polite.We got a Veterans Discount (which was wonderful).
