Easiest car buying experience ever

The salesman explained all the new safety features, current rebates, bells, & whistles. The finance officer was quick & efficient. The paperwork was organized & strait forward. We were there till after closing, but no one acted put-upon. Time consuming, but positive.

2010 Equinox Seat belt alarm repair

Will Not Go Back

My impression is that their sales tactic is to talk fast and say little. It's not that they lie, they just don't tell you everything, or at least not until you sign on the dotted line. Then only then was the true APR revealed. In any case, stay away from the extended service warranty; Not worth the money and besides, if you do have to take it to their service department, you'll be unhappy with their customer service. Of course, most car dealers' ultimate goal at the end of the day is to make a sale, no matter what. It's just that CCOG is the most annoying that I have yet to encounter.

I want to thank Chevrolet Of Goldsboro for fixing the problems with my car and having no problems with it since then. I took it to 2 other places, and they could not find the problem. The staff was very professional and helpful, I am very satisfied with the work I've had done there!

Lost faith in the service department

1. I brought my Suburban in for a State Inspection and as Mike was taking it back, I asked if he could adjust my parking brake because it wasn't holding, he explained that there wasn't anything to adjust. 2. My vehicle failed the Inspection because of the parking brake issue. Since it was late in the day, I made an appointment to have it looked at. 3. When I brought it in for my appointment, Mike investigated the issue and explained that the shoes were worn out. The brake pads and parking brake shoes were both replaced but didn't fix the issue. He then explained that the rotors were worn out, which were replaced. Once again it didn't fix the parking brake. He went on to explain that the parking brake cable was stretched out and the parking brake lever was not pulling the cable properly. The lever and cable have now been replaced. 4. After all this had been accomplished, Mike explained to me that he had to adjust the parking brake shoes to get them to hold and the Inspection passed. 5. I was contacted a week later by customer service from the dealership and I explained to her that after all this work, within the week, my parking brake was no longer holding and that I had lost faith in Mike as a mechanic. She told me that since he was the head mechanic that I would be contacted by his supervisor. Paul Benton called and left me a voice message. I returned his call and was told that Mr. Benton was not available, so I left him a message with my name and number. To date I have not heard back from him or the dealership. -My biggest concerns: - Mike told me from the beginning that the parking brake did not have any adjustment, but in the end, he adjusted them in order to get it to pass inspection. -He didn't tell me that the parking brake issue would be a inspection fail when he was taking it back. -I'm now back at square one, a parking brake that doesn't hold my vehicle.
