Finance part of sale brought rating down
The salesfolks were great helping us locate the vehicle we wanted. But we asked multiple times about the financing rate and the salefolks conveniently didn't know. After a total of 7 hours, durning the final paperwork, they astounded us with a ridculously high GM finance rate. It seems systematized that they would not give this information up front. Very bad business strategy. We nearly walked out. They quickly lowered the rate 2%, but still VERY high. Again, poor business tactic if they want repeat customers.
Smile and be 100 percent up-front
Was not that inviting. Missing information was not given before I agreed with a plan. Needed the plan thoe. Slow service. After speaking with the service manager there was no apologies for the lack of communication on there end. This sucks because I left another dealer to come to this one with the same issues😵
3 Strikes and Their Out!
I had my car service for a coolant leak, and I had to bring my car back within 72hrs to get it fixed again based on the original issue that I came in there for. They were eager to charge me more than $770 to get it fixed, again! They claimed no fault considering they just worked on my car on that specific system earlier. I finally asked to speak to the manager after getting nowhere with the service guy. Almost 3 hours later I get a call from the manager where he openly admits that he's 'not surprised' that it happened considering what I was just there for. So, I asked, 'why wasn't this recommended?!' Considering the laundry list of recommendations they had for my car. All he was able to do was cover my tow and a 'family' discount. This was very minimal considering how much I still had to pay and paid during my original visit (TOTAL $1,100+). This is bad customer service and poor customer retention... if you already know someone has trusted you enough to spend money at your service department wouldn't you do more to keep that customer??? To top it all off... that night after picking up my car for the second time the check engine comes on! I will never come back to this place or ever recommend anyone.
Poor customer service if any....
Amber Rebholz was terrible on the customer service end. I had an appt on Friday 9:15 that was confirmed by email. I specifically had paperwork of the work that needed to be done from another shop and the part it required that was supposedly under factory warranty still - I had to call Southpoint GMC Friday to find out when I could pick up my car only to be told it was not ready - then I had to call again on Sat to be told that it was still not ready with no loaner available. When I asked for one on Saturday evening to have to use on Monday for work and school(as she told me about that when I dropped my car off on Friday) since now my car would not be ready until Monday - I had no way to get to work or to get my child to school as he is a car rider - I had to scramble to take care of that situation when Amber could have avoided all of this by clearly communicating with me about my vehicle and having a loaner available to me since this should have been taken care of on Friday or Saturday at best- then finally on Monday when the car was ready I was informed that this part is NOT covered under the factory warranty and that I would be required to pay my 300$ deductible - I do not mind paying for work done however I was already told it was covered and I feel like Amber made it sa that I did incur a cost as I had to ask her numerous times for the service department manager name and email - she told me she would let them know my displeasure and I had to ask three more times for it as she never call my cell phone # about any of this she reverted to sending me emails instead - there is email threads on your system to prove this to show how this conversation was going. I normally take my vehicles to the GMC on Hwy 64 in Cary and will not recommend the south point location to anyone for this very reason - I have been in customer service for 25 years and would never treat anyone like she treated me, a single mom with one vehicle (that is beside the point however she needs to understand how her actions effect others). Customer Service Sensitivity would probably help her a lot as she made your whole team look bad.
Poor customer service lost a customer
If the sales team ran the service dept then there would be few service issues. The customer service folks treated me like a parent punishing a child. Somehow it was my fault that 2 doorhandles were broken. Apparently, when this happens when the car is under warranty - it is considered a cosmetic issue AKA not covered. When the warranty expires - it suddenly becomes a mechanical issue that if only the truck were still under warranty it would still be covered. Which is it?? The experience was so poor I sold the vehicle within one week and bought a new Infiniti QX80. A $250 issue cost this dealership $250,000 in future revenue from my family. Service customer beware!
Best car/truck buying experience ever
This is the best experience I've had in buying a car or truck ever -- and I'm 70 years old. Damion Reid and his sales manager Eric Duncan went out of their way, and way beyond what was required, in finding us just the truck we wanted with the features we needed. This included finding the vehicle at another dealer and then using a third-party vendor to add a feature we required. Exemplary service. Although we were looking for a used (2013-2015) pickup, we ended up buying a "new" (i.e., previously unsold) 2016 pickup and taking advantage of the 0% financing option.
Not a good one! I started my adventure by noting exactly what I wanted and how much I was going to spend. I was specific that I didn't want to play the finagling game and yet they proceeded to do so. Guess what? They magically sold the truck to me for what I wanted! Why the games? But, it gets better. I had to return to sign paperwork that wasn't completed at time of purchase. I received my Vehicle Property Tax Notice and suddenly I was Mary Carney. The DMV would not let me pay as I'm not Mary! I bought my truck in early Feb and they are still trying to correct the issue!!! I call and they told me it's corrected and I should receive the corrected version by the end of the week, waiting, waiting, waiting. I call back to inform them the corrected version still says Mary! I call yet again, 'you should have received that last week. Nope! Did I mention when I call I always tell them to call me so I may stay informed. Never happened. Very disappointed and still waiting on my corrected vehicle property tax notice. Today is 30 Mar 2017 and I'm still waiting. To top it off my temporary tag expires April. So, to answer your questions...No I would NOT recommend anyone go through this at your dealership.
Good to work with
They were great to work with and even provided me with a rental car. Unfortunately, even though they kept my truck for extra time, they were unable to diagnose or fix my issue.
Knowing the vehicle I wanted, I checked and found the vehicle on Hendrick's lot. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and pleasant and negotiations went very well from there.
Excellent Sales Staff and Great Selection of Vehicles
The sales staff at Hendrick GMC Southpoint provide a world-class experience! They are very professional and accommodating to customers' needs, with a low pressure approach. My sales person (Matt) mentioned training and conventions Hendrick has sent him on to learn about the latest technology and safety of GM's vehicles. This is great to hear as a buyer who wants their sales person to be knowledgeable about the vehicles he's selling. They are also very tech-savvy and are great at communicating through all channels (email, phone, text, web browser). This creates a sales process that the Millennial Generation responds well to, since they communicate through all channels. It was easy to negotiate and didn't feel hostile. Both parties felt like a good deal was made. I will continue to buy from this dealership location as long as they keep up the great work and quality sales team!! Highly recommended.
Very Positive Purchase Experience
I just purchased a 2015 Tahoe at Hendrick and I was very pleased with the friendly professionalism of the entire staff, and particularly Joel Williams. This is the second car I have purchased through Joel at Hendrick. I will be back down the line when its time for another car.
Great service and very straight forward to deal with
I recently bought a new car from Hendricks. I was surprised by the experience - in a good way. The team were easy to deal with - always respectful, and never applied any pressure. They were straight forward and transparent about pricing and what they could offer me, even offering up other web sites and resources for research. The process itself was very simple, very professional - and of course the facility is brand new. They really treat you like a respected customer. I would go back, and recommend to friends and family.

Experience Buying 2014 Chevy Camaro
Everything was a great experience. I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. I even was able to get my monthly payments at a rate that is comfortable for me. Overall, I definitely would recommend this dealership and I actually have already recommended it to a few potential buyers.

Auto Buying Experience
Hendrick Durham AutoMall had the vehicle and the deal that enticed me to purchase the Cadillac SRX from them. I used their Web page to find the exact vehicle and the deal. I had previously purchased a vehicle from them and was very satisfiied.
We bought a used Ford Focus from Hendrick and had a great experience. As it was not a Ford dealer we were apprehensive at first but Jerome, our sales person, knew all the features and was one of the best we have ever worked with. Excellent experience at Hendrick Durham
We just purchased a 2013 Avalanche at the Hendrick Durham Auto Mall. We were made to feel welcome even though we were intially just browsing. We experienced no high pressure sales tactics and the "let me see what my sales manager can do for you" game experienced at other dealerships was practically non-existent at Hendrick. Though we have bought several new cars over the last decade I still don't like the process of doing so. When leaving the Hendrick Auto Mall yesterday I felt like I had received a fair deal and great service.
