(Sales)men of their word

by RuthC on 01/19/2020

I just bought a brand new Camry yesterday that I had been trying to negotiate the best deal on between Toyota of Santa Fe and another Toyota dealership. Toyota of Santa Fe kept coming back with the best price, including the last one, which might have even been a mistake, but the sales department HONORED THAT PRICE QUOTE. Even though they didn't have to. This was absolutely THE BEST EXPERIENCE I ever had buying a new car, with straightforward, honorable car salesmen. And a REALLY great deal!

Customer servise is awful

by Grizman on 08/21/2018

The customer service at this dealership is awful.i bought a used car there a year ago.ill start with the sale first off they tried to sell the vehicle for $12,000 but on their website they had it listed for $6500.so that was #1 problem after we purchased the vehicle we just had problem after problem with it i tried callong santa fe toyota. To make an appointment to fix my car multiple times each time i called i was met with a busy signal or a rude person on the other end of the line.then i go in to take the car to be fixed i express my disconcetn with the way things are dealt with around at that dealership no one ever said we will fix it im sorry that this happened to you it was just a bunch of lies and broken promises.worst of all the general manager of sales may i remind you THE GENERAL MANAGER. Has the worst attitude towards helping costumers he never once said im sorry just gave me the run around he nver once said ill take care of it or i will personally look into the situation he just kept dancing around the issue.so just want everyone who reads this to know not too waste your time buying anything from santa fe toyota its defi etly not worth the hassle of dealing with people who are so very rude

Why go to the big city?

by aguywhowrite on 08/30/2017

Full disclosure: No trade-in. Also, I got my own financing. Finally, it wasn't a particularly popular car. First and foremost, a highly competitive price. Rock bottom? Well, there's only one rock bottom, right? I was a little off-guard since they offered a competitive price right out of the box. The rest of the transaction was straight-forward which kept me off balance the whole time. They made a half-hearted effort to sell me an over priced extended factory warranty, but that was about it. Why ruin your day anywhere else?

Finance pressure to buy 3rd party warranty

by NoJunk2 on 07/23/2015

I got a good price from internet sales. But when I went in to pick up the car, they wasted a lot of my time waiting for Finance, and then Finance wasted a lot of my time trying to sell me a $3,500 3rd party warranty. The reason I went with internet sales was because I knew what I wanted, and didn't want to waste my time with people trying to sell me things I wasn't interested in. Lesson: Call the general manager in advance and tell him you don't want him to waste your time trying to sell you other stuff.

Amazingly Pleasant Experience

by mdegarmo on 12/09/2014

We have never had such a painless carbuying experience. The two salesmen, Mike Lopez and Raul Gallegos, were never pushy but available when needed. The Edmunds price was completely respected, and there was NO haggling, the part of car-buying we have always dreaded. It was wonderful! Actual transaction and getting the car was efficient.

by atzamora on 05/15/2014

Worth the extra drive folks to buy a car here. I have dealt with the toyota dealerships in albuquerque...they do not compare to the Beaver Toyota dealership. Trini G was my salesman and he was awesome...I highly recommend asking for him ...im sure there is other fine salespeople there bu i recommend Trini. AZ from Albuq.

They

by Hobratschk on 05/15/2014

Recently I found that I was dissatisfied with a car purchased at Beaver Toyota. We have been loyal and trusting customers for over ten years, having owned, over time, 5 Toyotas. When we decided to buy another, Beaver Toyota was the only dealership in which we had 100% confidence. The response to my dissatisfaction was immediate, calming, and fair. They stood behind their satisfaction warranyt. Like the years of professional and extraordinary service we have experienced, management went above and beyond to accommodate us. I will continue to support and recommend the Beaver Toyota team/family to all who inquire. We remain loyal customers.

My Toyota Experience

by nana2014 on 05/06/2014

I am driving my second Toyota Camry that I purchased from Beaver Toyota. I had such a pleasant experience with my first camry that I went back 10 years later for my second camry. Both times were such a pleasant experience that how can I not make my 3rd toyota purchase at Beaver Toyota? Staff from all areas are always pleasant and helpful. Service department is first rate. I hope that with in the next 2 years I will be making a trip to BEAVER TOYOTA !!

The worst experience

by wackford on 12/21/2013

Because these are the closest dealership and the next closest is 2 hours away, they sort of have a "captive" market and don't they know it! I have made three attempts to purchase a car from these people and each time stupidly assumed that they must have gotten their act together, but each time was proved wrong. The first time I tried to buy a RAV4. I knew exactly what I wanted but was told that they couldn't tell me the final price until I had officially ordered the car! What idiot is going to order a vehicle if they don't know how much it is going to cost them? Other times the sales people have been rude and arrogant. They were unwilling to negotiate and even blatantly lied. They give the impression that every customer is stupid and that they don't have any competition. I was told that the edmunds guide price was way off as their cost for obtaining the cars was more than that. Yet, I was able to find the same vehicle at another dealer for a fair bit below this price. Then when I told the guys at beaver they said that they would be able to match it. So, what happened to the whole "there is no way we could possibly match that price" thing? I cannot stand this sort of [non-permissible content removed]. Stay away from them.

Above and Beyond

by n2styx on 06/13/2013

I was recently in the market for a Corolla so I did my research on Edmunds and asked for an online quote from 3 local Toyota dealers. I then read the not too flatterying reviews of Beaver Toyota. When I got the call from Beaver Toyota with my quote, I told them I was not interested in doing business with the company based on the poor online reviews. Later, I got an email from the internet sales manager (Steve S). He was concerned about the poor reviews and asked for more details and asked for the opportunity to earn my business. He offered an amazing deal, offered to deliver the new car to my home (about 60 miles away) and offered to accomodate my trade in. He sent me the invoice via email and the build sheets for 2 models I was considering. It was a better deal than the other 2 closer Toyota dealers. Unfortunately, my daughter decided she liked a Honda Civic better and we bought the Civic. Steve was gracious and appriciative for giving him the opportunity to try to earn my business. He was very communicative and professional throughout the whole process. When I'm looking for another Toyota, I will DEFINATELY contact Steve S and Beaver Toyota again.

Internet sales the only way to go

by East_Mtn_buyer on 05/10/2013

I hate shopping for cars in the traditional, showroom environment. But I worked with Dan from the internet sales department at Beaver and he did a great job. Very competitive price and easy to work with. Competing dealer from Albuquerque did not respond to Edmunds request for quote.

iternet pricing

by Dave_in_NM on 11/12/2012

We dealt with Maria who responded to questions very quickly and professionally. maria explained all costs in detail. Beaver's trade in offer was lower than others, which made the overall deal less attractive than what we ultimately found elsewhere. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them for a middle of the road price with no nonsense.

Don't bother with these folks

by 737ca on 09/29/2012

After some delay I finally received an email from these folks and all they did was ask me to repeat all the info re make/model/trim/color that was in my original submission indicating that they hadn't bothered to read my original submission. I responded asking again for a quote on my original submission, which clearly detailed this info and all I continue to get is repeated requests to provide the original info again...I wonder how many times are required for a quote? I don't have time to play games with clerks who apparently are too lazy to read and obviously do not value the customer. I will likely make a Camry purchase on my next trip to Denver instead.

If you like to play games, this is the place for you.

by west15 on 06/27/2012

I'm in my 40's and have bought many, many cars. I tried to buy a Sequoia here. But, this is the only time I was told there is no negotiation on price. I couldn't get my salesperson or the mgr at the tent to move even a dollar. So, a little frustrated but wanting the car, I went to Edmunds.com and requested a quote from Beaver and Larry Miller in Albuquerque, an hour away. They both came back with a pretty good price, which was much lower than the in person price I got earlier in the day. When I accepted the offer, the backpedaling started. The finance mgr told me that Edmunds quotes were just rough estimates and not specific. I told her she should stop talking and that she was dead wrong. Anyway, the general manager stepped in the next day but my taste had soured for the games. He tried his best, but the whole thing was too much for my wife and I. We just wanted an clean easy deal. So, we bought the identical car in Albuquerque. They drove it to the house and I only had to deal with my salesperson. Meaning she was the only one I talked to or met during the entire process. Awesome! I guess I feel I've earned a bit of respect being on the planet this long but was instead treated like a newbie to be toyed with.

Third strike and they are out ...

by wackford on 05/19/2012

This was my third attempt to give Beaver toyota a chance at providing me with a vehicle. This is the last time I will try. Each time they provided inaccurate information and bad prices. Every time I was able to get correct and accurate information as well as a more pleasant experience and a price I was happy with elsewhere. I think they think all customers are ignorant and gullible.

Quality has been poor at times

by hldriver on 12/16/2011

The Service Dept. is very friendly & efficient. They get my car in & out right on time. But twice the mechanic has not tightened the cap when changing the oil. Horrid mistake!! Could have ruined my engine. We double check the cap ourselves from now on.

GREAT experience... this time

by hldriver on 12/16/2011

My experience with Beaver Toyota Internet Sales Dept. could not have been better. This is the 3rd new car purchase from Beaver Toyota.. & this was the best. I almost didn't go back to them because of a sour sales experience with my last Highlander. But Trini was great. He was honest, no pressure.. I felt like he was taking good care of me. Negotiations were pleasant. After my purchase he spent a lot of time getting me familiar with the bells & whistles. The Finance dept. with Sandra was also very pleasant. Great experience all around.

Buyer Beware at Beaver!!!!

by pegasus5 on 12/15/2011

Chose a Camry over the phone and negotiated a price and a payment. I was promised the car and paperwork would be ready when I arrived to pick it up. When I met the salesman (Aspen) he gave me the paperwork with a payment $35 higher than what we agreed to. I quickly ran the numbers on my calculator and showed him he had jacked the price by $1,200! He quickly handed me off to the F and I manager who rewrote the paperwork and hustled me out the door. How many times does this type of ploy work? A person is excited to get their new car and are pressured into "only a dollar a day more." Multiply that times the number of cars they sell a year and it results in grand larceny. I should have complained to the states Attorney's General, there has to be many victims of Beaver's dishonesty. I imagine that this (sadly) isn't completely unique to Beaver Toyota. The bottom line is know what you agreed to and arm yourself with a payment calculator. And don't let them push you around.

Have purchased 3 vehicles from Beaver Toyota!

by feliciam1 on 05/02/2011

Have purchased all of our vehicles from Beaver Toyota! 2 used vehicles which included a 2006 Infinity, and a 1996 Toyota 4Runner, and 1 new Toyota Tacoma Double cab 4X4. Andrea Yeung was the salesperson that helped with two of the vehicles. She was very professional, and courteous. Listened to all our needs. We got 110% from her. We also have had help from Maria Treviso-Espinosa, and she too is a great salesperson to talk to. Very knowledgeable, great personality, and also gave 110 percent!! Will continue to buy ALL future vehicles from Beaver Toyota! Yay Beaver!!
