Easiest car lease ever
Had the best stress free experience at Salerno Duane ford in summit New Jersey and Dan Cola was the most efficient easy going no pressure sales man and made my day. Thank you again for the pleasant experience in leasing.
Not a dealership...a friendship!
The staff was courteous and put the interests of the customer above all. They went above and beyond to assist me in the lease of my new vehicle. They took the time to make sure that I was satisfied and did not pressure me into getting a vehicle that was beyond my budget. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone that is in the market for a vehicle.
A new car from a new "old friend"
Buying a car from Bob C. at Salerno Duane Ford was like doing business with a new "old friend". We do not have a contact for purchasing a car, so we walked into the dealership "blind" after researching Fords online. We were fortunate to be approached by Bob C., who immediately put us at ease for testing and possibly leasing a vehicle. He answered our questions honestly and had a pleasant friendly attitude toward the entire process. After test driving a few cars, we decided on a Ford Escape. Bob patiently explained the basics of leasing to me (a newbie to car leases) even thought my husband was already aware of them, and gave us insight into the different cars we were considering. No pressure, no high stress sales pitch - just friendly honest information. It was a great experience! There is enough stress in figuring out which car you want these days, let alone trying to deal with high pressure sales - what a nice surprise not to have to deal with someone who makes that more stressful, but rather someone who honestly gave you the facts and let you decide what worked best for you! The day we were to pick up our new vehicle, the sales manager, Jeff, was efficient with all the paperwork that needed to be signed, and quickly sent us back to Bob so he could go over the car with us. Bob's patience and help in setting up things like the smartphone interface, etc, was appreciated greatly. The car ready to go, filled up with gas, we were set to start out with our new car. Bob offered his ongoing assistance several times - if we need anything or don't understand anything just call - which is so nice to know. It is not a "see ya later" experience as you drive off the lot. You are definitely not on your own. The staff at Salerno Duane Ford will continue to support you throughout your lease with them. I'm glad i chose Salerno Duane Ford for this lease and would highly recommend Bob C. if you are looking for a new Ford!
My two days sales experience with Salerno Duane was excellent. Bob C. was professional and helpful in my making my decision.
Bob was knowledgeable and helpful in making a decision on what model and features would be best fit for my needs, I would recommend to friends and family.
Salerno Duane Ford is a Fair Honest Dealership
I went to Salerno-Duane Ford to look at an Escape. Originally I was in contact with Ariel S. who was very nice and got me started on the process. When I arrived at the dealership she turned me over to another sales agent with more knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in. The fact that helping me was more important than getting a sale was impressive. Bob took me out for a test drive and when we returned the deal was waiting. I had done my home work and Knew what a fair price was. The first price he presented was not only fair but they had looked for all available rebates with out me asking and the trade allowance on my old Escape was more than generous. This was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. If you want to argue on price don't go here. If you want to walk in pick out a car and be treated fairly make Salerno-Duane Ford your first stop! I am a customer for life.
Happy with my new C-Max
Vito treated me with respect from the time we shook hands just after I walked in the door. I knew I wanted a hybrid vehicle and we talked about the pros and cons of the two I had in mind. Vito took me on a test drive of both vehicles and let me experience each car without trying to sell me on either one. At the end of the second ride, he asked me which way I was thinking and we took it from there. I came into the dealership with a little bit of a complicated situation for financing. They made it easy to overcome any obstacles and now I am enjoying my new C-Max! I have been coming to this Ford dealership for many years of service. They have always been a pleasure to deal with, honest and trustworthy.
Lease Experience for Ford Edge
This was my first lease experience. Bob Cerza explained very clearly, and completely, the way leases work, compared to purchase. Bob was exceedingly patient with me, as I had many questions, and sometimes asked the same question again. He is a professional, conducting himself in a warm, friendly manner. I feel the price I received, and the way it was determined, was very fair. I will recommend Bob and Salerno Duane Ford to anyone who asks me. Really appreciate how pleasant the experience was. I will be back, especially if Bob is still there when I am ready for my next transaction. Congratulations on your professionalism. Your appreciative customer, Jim DiForio
My first experience with a dealership
I have bought all my cars from a private lot. This was my first experience leasing a new car and dealing with a dealership. I found a ford escape online and Ariel was very helpful in giving me info about the leasing process and tried to answer all questions I had. She also informed me of all extra fees before the final quote. There was no pressure. When I finally came in I was helped by Bob M. with checking out my car for a trade in and taking me on the test drive. I felt very comfortable and not pressured to buy or lease. I had decided to lease after the test drive and Bob was very helpful in getting this process going so I could take the car home the same day. He even called my insurance company to make sure I was covered . He made sure I knew all the features in the car and synced my phone for me as well . It was also very nice of him to call after to make sure everything was going ok with the car. Overall , I had a great first experience. Thanks to Ariel and Bob.
How to choose the right dealership and Sales Associate
In all of my 40 years of driving and buying/leasing cars did I have such a positive and fruitful experience at Salerno Duane. I first wanted to stay local even though a competitor was nearby and had a larger inventory of Ford Edges. The internet groundwork was done by Ariel S. of Salerno Duane and I immediately sensed no nonsense and a very pleasant experience in getting info on the Ford Edge. I came in a few days later via an appointment and was introduced to the Sales Associate, Vito M., an extremely pleasant and experience sales person. I have to say, I never had a better "car selling" experience in all my years. There was absolutely no pressure, no "jiving" of the dollar amounts, etc. After 20 mins or so we knew we made the right choice when we came to Duane Salerno in Summit, NJ. Vito M. topped the bill with his knowledge, experience and extremely pleasant demeanor. I must confess that after our initial introduction I did mention to Vito that his competitor had a lot more Ford Edges and that we only came to his dealership because I gave my word to Ariel that I would not break the appointment. We did not need to spend hours of negotiations and after a half hour we knew we had the right dealership and the right sales associate! A totally pleasant car leasing experience indeed - thank you Salerno Duane, Ariel and especially Vito!!!
Lies lies lies
I have bought several cars in the past but have to admit that I have never been dealt with like the way I was this company. At the time of purchase I was going through a financial hard time and was at the end of my rope. I went to this dealership and was given a story that was literally too good to be true. The warning should have been the fact that I was only given the option of one vehicle on the lot. The second sign was when I went to sign the papers on the car. I was told the down payment would be one price but found out that it was much higher. After all the papers were signed and my deposit was in the salesman's hand, he advised me that the vehicle had been in a front end collision by the previous owner. I was assured that the vehicle had been checked out and everything was fine. The car did not pass inspection when I took it and the dealership could not seem to schedule a time for me to come in when it was convenient for me, so I ended up taking care of the problem myself. Six months after the purchase of the car I began having mechanical problems. I called the dealership and since the car I bought from them was not a Ford they could not service it and told me to take it to a dealership that sold brand of car I bought. I contacted the warranty holder (which I bought a premium plan because the salesman added to my contract without my request) and preceded on for service. The dealer that I took the car to informed me that the $1300 worth of issues that I was having was something that the dealer that sold it to me should have corrected before the car was sold. When I contacted Salerno Duane I was told that they could do nothing for me and it wasn't their fault. They were very rude and made no attempt to right anything. I have to agree with the other post on here that this dealership is dishonest. I would recommend anyone that plans on purchasing a vehicle to stay as far away from this place as possible.
We purchased an Eddie Bauer edition Ford Explorer. Just getting the title and registratin was a run around. The vehicle was supposed to be "ready" for us to pick up, and when we arrived, it was filthy dirty and had MORE scratches on it then were before. Apprently SOMEONE had been driving it as the mileage didn't match either. The sales person was so pushy and obnoxious. He told us that there was no extended warranty offered for this vehicle, however, when the transmission started to go, we went back to the dealer, complete with a SERVICE BULLETIN about this vehicles transmission. They basically told us "too bad, not our problem" and then the sales person who helped us said "well, maybe you should have gotten that extended warranty!'. It was like running in circles. He conveniently "forgot" that he said there wasn't one and that a service bulletin doesn't "mean anything". I told him he didnt check off "refused" warranty on the contract either. The back and forthing was too much! The lies and the headgames these people play just to GET YOUR MONEY! They got our money, now they don't want to even stand by their sales.
I tried purchasing a car from these folks and in fact came to an agreement with them. That is when the trouble began. I found out that the price they were charging me was much to high so I ask to cancel the order. They agreed and I purchased another car elsewhere. A month later my American Express card had a charge on it for the down payment. When I called the dealership the sales manager admitted that he had lied to me but told me he would not remove the charge.
