Minor issue turns to huge headache
Only 1 word required for this review: Fraud. Sorry for the novel, but details are important. I have contacted the Attorney General in Illinois to notify them and get a complaint on record. If this happened to me I'm sure it has happened to other people as well. There is no way Bettenhausen can spin it, so they have to eat it and acknowledge they attempted to steal my money. Ask them about it. If you intend to do business with these people, print a copy of this and Ask Krystal or Joe Prno the Service Manager. In a nutshell I brought my 2017 Jeep Wrangler in for a very MINOR issue. The light inside the cupholder stopped working. After diagnosis I was told the issue wasn't covered under warranty - only about $20 parts and labor to fix. They claim the "bulb" was burned out. I agreed and was relieved it wasn't going to be a drawn out process. When I picked up the Jeep I noticed the issue wasn't fixed, so I inquired with Krystal (Service Advisor) .. she promptly called up a mechanic to take a look. In my presence the mechanic opened/disassembled the center console and pulled out the cupholder, which has the light assembly attached to it. It wasn't connected to anything and the mechanic said "oh he just didn't plug it back in". While he looked for the other end of the wire harness, I asked to inspect it and realized it was a LED assembly and not just a bulb. I asked what part they replaced and they had no explanation... because the "bulb" they claim to have replaced doesn't even exist on the vehicle. So what was the BS charge for? He couldn't find the other end of the cable and said it must have fallen further into the console and needed to pull the entire thing out. After several minutes of embarrassment and over exaggerated apologizing, I was promised a refund and they kept the vehicle for more diagnosis. The next day I called for a status and I was told "it's all done and ready for pickup".... except they closed 3 minutes prior to me calling and despite me being in one of their loaner cars 3 blocks away the employee told me I would have to wait until Monday. Monday I stopped there after work and got the run-around about the refund. After getting the refund I asked what was wrong with the Jeep and the Manager told me the LED connector was bad and needed to be replaced. He then fumbled through some paperwork and told me it wasn't fixed yet and they were waiting on a special order part. The part should be in today, but I already notified them to return it because I don't want them working on my vehicle any more. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Totally unacceptable dishonest business practices from Bettenhausen. The dishonesty and incompetence is contagious and starts at the top and trickles itself to the staff.

Where to start Found drugs in the car and the car only had 4 miles on it Very rude and pushy sales man try to back out of deal they wouldn't return my deposit was force to buy the truck Was sold a factory remote start and got aftermarket one that's only works sometimes They refused to pay my trade off so I had to and still can't get them to pay me back Also they installed a aftermarket radio that's doesn't work They have had the truck in service over 3 weeks to try to resolve these issues and still have to bring it back Next step is to lawyer up
The Place to Buy a Jeep
Began shopping at Bettenhausen due to BBB accreditation and their participation in a buyers' promotion through my employer. I was assisted by Jerome Powell, who was friendly and enthusiastic but also not presuming to be overly "familiar", which put me at ease. Jerome knew most of the answers to my questions--and immediately looked up those he didn't. I had a very specific idea of the features I wanted, and Jerome paid attention--and remembered them a few days later when I returned for a 2nd test drive, and eventually made a purchase from dealer stock. Prior to making my decision, Jerome very patiently completed a side-by-side comparison of features and price between the in-stock vehicle and a new 2017 order. The dealer's no-haggle price policy was also attractive to me. There was some haggling about the value of my trade-in, which ended up being very fair, if not generous. Based on my experience, my wife and I will return for service and for future purchases. An excellent experience.

From the time we entered the doors we felt a sense of calm. Bettenhausen has a no haggle no hassle atmosphere. I loved the fact that I didn't have to sit in there all day. I came in and they had exactly what we were looking for. Nick Nowak was patient and very thorough. My brother is actually repeat customer and recommended the dealership. He was head on with the staff. I look forward to purchasing my next vehicle with Bettenhausen.

I was interested in the Jeep Wrangler Recon, having seen one on a billboard. I was not disappointed when I saw them in person! They are awesome custom builds done on site, and since they are done by the dealer they are genuine Mopar and Smitty-built accessories, and under warranty! Jerome was my sales manager, and I can't say enough great things about the guy. He was helpful, informed, and never the least bit pushy. The staff went out of there way to find my college graduate a quality used car.. When it wasn't ready on time due to a parts delay they graciously gave my son a loaner and delivered his car to his new home 100 miles away!! Felt like dealing with family.
We had a wonderful experience at Bettenhausen. This was the fifth purchase we made at Bettenhausen over the past 20 years and had a positive experience each time. The salesmen have always been nice and accommodating and always try and find the best deal for us each time, and always include a customer loyalty discount for repeat customers. Our last salesman was Steve Klimara, he was very patient and spent a lot of time with us. We felt like family the whole time. We will continue to be a Dodge family as long as Bettenhausen is around.

I have used Bettenhausen Dodge for many of my car purchases, and they never fail me. If you need a car I would ask you to go to them and have Nick Nowak help you. Nick is great I wanted to order a new 2016 Charger but the color I wanted has been discontinued, I was very disappointed. Nick said he would do a dealer search and found me exactly what I was looking for. As always there is no big surprises with Bettenhausen Dodge they are Great and the service there is 5 Star. The Best Car Buying Experience Ever!
No bait and switch tactics. No pushy salespeople. Easy process. Didnt have to hang out for hours with all the back and forth btween sales people and managers. The price seen on the tag is what we got. We were treated with respect and as if we mattered. Customer for life!
Nice and patient
The customer service I received was excellent and they went over and beyond to work with me while getting my truck.. Scott Mudrak was patient, very nice and understanding. I was very nervous and he helped me relax and got me a good deal for the situation I was in...I will definitely go back and refer people to go as well

Not only was my experience with the sales team great but when I made my first service appointment it was with ease. All the employees I ran into the day of my visit were all too kind.
