Unethical Maintenance Service

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! They have very friendly people, but that's where it stops. I want a business I can trust to do good work and have integrity when doing business with me and my family. Two examples: I was deployed to Afghanistan for a year and my wife goes in for some work. By the time they were done, they had charged her over 1500 dollars for work that didn't need to be done. On top of that, they did a bad job and I had to work out a fix from Afghanistan calling the manager. Fast forward a year after I get back. My wife goes in to have the fuel pump recall fixed. While they did that, they wrote up things that needed fixing. They came up with 2600 dollars of stuff that needed done. I was a mechanic before I came into the military. I checked all the stuff they claimed needed to be done. MOST of the very expensive stuff did not need to be done. The parts were in perfect condition. On top of that, when they checked the cabin filter, they didn't even bother to put the tabs back in to hold it from opening completely up. I don't know if they take advantage of unsuspecting women (very old stereotype....my daughter works on her own cars and does a darn good job) or they do it to everyone. They are out to rip you off anywhere they can and they do horrible work in doing it. DO NOT GO HERE. I won't even bring my cars in there now for free recalls.

Bad buying experience

Recently visited this dealership to buy a car. After being quoted a price, they decided to increase it a couple of days later. The salesman was unapologetic and condescending. I will never visit this dealership again.

Can't adjust valves

I had the valves adjusted in my car that was required during a service recall. After driving a few blocks in my car I realized that I could hear the vavles from inside the car with the radio on. I returned the car only to have them readjust the valves with no difference. Luckily, by the 3rd time I researched and realized that you have to actually adjust the valves cold. So I left my car there the night before adjustment and that seemed to work. On another note I was foolish enough to have them change the tires on my car and they thanked me by torquing the lugnuts to probably 300 ft lbs. I'll be changing my own tires next time. Never going here again.

When I asked for sales price over the internet the manager was on vacation. He responded via I phone but his price was a little higher then closer dealers so I went with one of them rather than driving into illinois.

My son's 2002 Civic was in need of a new clutch and since all the prior work had been done at a dealerships I figured this shouldn't be any different. They quoted me the same price the little shop near our home quoted and had it finished in less than 24 hours. That's hard to beat considering a clutch replacement is no easy task. I was very pleases that they also washed the car for us before we picked it up. Who else still gives that kind of service?

I have always been a used car buyer. I just purchased my first new car ever from this dealership. The salesman was friendly and helpful. I intially went to buy a used Honda and he gave me enough information without applying pressure that allowed me to make the decision I felt was best for my needs. The Finance Manager also showed respect for my time by pitching product but allowing me to make my own decisions without pressure. I was in the dealership a total of 3 hours - which is literally UNBELIEVABLE for a Saturday car purchase. They filled the tank up for free and gave me free car washes for life. If you have ever had a poor car buying experience or just cringe at the thought of going through the car buying process, you have to go to this dealership. I will be a long time customer of Meyer Honda.

cabin air filter ripoff

We had our CRV serviced at Meyer. They charged us $50 for the labor to replace the cabin air/dust filter. When I got home I found a youtube video on the subject and saw that this job could be accomplished in about 5 minutes and didn't even require tools. Now I feel like a tool for going there....

Great experince buying a new Honda Fit from Meyer Honda

My wife and I recently bought a 2010 Honda Fit at Meyer Honda. If you are looking for a new Honda I can save you a lot of time and grief. We visted several Honda dealerships and were not happy' with their aggressive sales approach. We were about to give up until we met John Chaffee at Meyer Honda. John was a knowledgeable and helpful salesman. He helped us through the process of buying a new car and did so without any pressure. Buying a car from John Chaffee and Meyer Honda was a pleasant experince.

PURCHASE OF NEW 2009 HONDA FIT SPORT AT MEYER HONDA

I purchased a new 2009 Honda Fit Sport at Meyer Honda in O' Fallon, Illinois on October 20, 2009. I had researched several Honda models along with some serious study of the Toyota Yaris, Kia Rio and Chevy Aveo. Test drove all, and by far, the Fit "fit" my needs the best. The dealership, and my sales rep were superb. I really appreciate a sales rep that listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly that, what I wanted. The sales experience was fantastic and the price was "right on", compared to several other Honda dealers in the greater St. Louis market area. The car is everything I expected. This auto purchase marks my 12th vehicle in 34 years.
