After I just started my car shopping experience I was treated terribly by the Kia dealer down the street. So when I walked into Continental Mazda I was expecting the same. Boy was I wrong! Audrey is a first class sales person and the entire staff at Continental treated me with honesty and respect. I am extremely pleased with my new CX-5. I strongly recommend you give Continental Mazda a chance. This is not your typical car dealership.

Kind Employees and Great Service

When I first walked into the dealership I was greeted kindly by an employee. They made it easy to find what I was looking for and gave me plenty of options to choose from. When I wasn't able to find what I was looking for at the dealership they took the time to find me one that did meet my criteria and brought it to the dealership. They never were pushy and put the customer first in my case.

Watch out for Loyalty Rebate

Update: after evaluating this review and our specific situation, Mazda Corporate decided to approve the rebate afterall. More importantly, they have notified us that they are reviewing their loyalty rebate policy and structure to ensure this doesn't happen to others in a similar situation. Continental Mazda has also notified us they are training their staff to better handle this from a customer service aspect going forward. Based on the initial reactions we received, we are certainly surprised with this outcome and appreciate the folks who got involved with resolving this. Our rating and recommendation of CM has been updated.

Good Car Buying Experience

I recently purchased a 2016 Mazda 6. My sales rep. Efrain Heredia was very helpful and professional. He took the time to listen to my needs, answered my questions and was patient during the sales process. The staff treated me as a person instead of another sale. While I wasn't too thrilled with their initial offer they worked within my budget to get a fair deal going. Once we agreed on the numbers the whole process was super convenient and easy. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Continental Mazda to anyone in-market for a family sedan.

I have to say that Continental Mazda gave me the best sales experience I have ever had in the 40 plus years I have been Driving. The entire team from sales to financing were fantastic. I purchased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 and love it. I highly recommend this dealership if you want to get treated with respect and courtesy.

Overall a very good experience

Was looking to buy a new car after a long time the last time was over a decade ago, visited a few dealerships mainly looking for a plugin hybrid for the better mileage, wasn’t too happy in some cases with the price versus features and battery range offered and with other dealerships the typical haggling on the price, after giving up on a plugin hybrid I decided to look at the Mazda cx3 and cx5 as I liked the features and the mileage offered on both vehicles, was very pleased with my experience at Continental Mazda of Naperville Dan.E was very helpful through the whole process from the test drive to handing over the keys to my new Mazda, his manager Chris helped find me the vehicle I was looking for with the right features and color at the right price without the unnecessary haggling.

Save Money - Get Another Dealer Quote

Very negative experience with this dealership. This coming from a person who very rarely reviews anything... I am taking the time to write this review because of the way this dealer treated me. Just incredibly arrogant and out of touch. At the end of the day - it all worked out - I got a great deal from Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove and saved hundreds over these guys. I'm an guy who does alot of shopping around and in purchasing my new car I did my homework, had my test drives, understood invoice pricing and dealership inventory - I'd consider myself a well informed buyer. Once I had settled in on a new 2016 CX-5 I had requested quotes from several dealerships - (nearly a dozen) - and in doing so I quickly found out who the genuine dealers were versus the dealers who like to play games with pricing, hide options, etc. This is a dealer that is not be trusted if you want an easy experience. From the start I felt like I was jerked around. It started when I had received an initial quote from their online service - Cory did a great job and was responsive. Cory was awesome. Now - that will be the last positive thing I have to say about this dealership. The rest is a joke. And I would encourage you to message me with any questions - because I have all the lovely emails from these people to prove it. After the initial pricing, I had settled in on all the options I wanted and found Continental had a vehicle with those options in inventory - I had requested follow up "apples-to-apples" pricing on the vehicle so that I could compare all the same offers from other dealers. My new quote (for the exact same vehicle i had initially received an internet quote on from Cory) - jumped over $1,000 - not kidding - so I kindly emails . Mr. Brad Waite must have figured I was an idiot - because when I informed him of his mistake and that I had already received much lower pricing - the guy actually wrote in an email - that it must have been MY mistake and that I must not have understood the initial pricing. Yeah buddy - I must have forgotten how to read an email. Bottom line is that out of 10 dealerships - their quoted price was the HIGHEST for the same "apples-to-apples" price. Period. So after I told Brad that he didn't have a chance, he must have told his boss and then I exchanged several emails with Brittany Datil (and I am using full names in an effort to shame these folks and warn future customers that these individuals should be avoided). Brittany did her best damage control with Brad but rather than to admit their mistake - she continued to claim I may not have understood the pricing they had quoted. (I hold a Masters degree in both Engineering and Business Management) - Brittany, I understand how you were trying to hide your pricing - but more importantly I understand when I am being bent over. So after I tell Brittany never to contact me again - I get a call from Denny Vant, the sales manager - claiming he was going to do everything in his power to get me the absolute best price and make my negative experience right. Welp - Denny's best price WAS STILL HUNDREDS HIGHER THAN EVERY OTHER DEALER. I felt like I was part of a huge joke with these people. This place is just light years behind their competitors when it comes to a straight forward experience. I was a serious buyer not looking to get jerked around alot and they just completely missed the ball. Other dealers, Pugi, Roto, CJ Wilson (to name a few) will give you much better pricing and won't screw you around. This place seems to be trying to take advantage of people rather than selling cars. Every other dealer started with a number well below invoice - these guys must have thought they were being cute quoting MSRP. I had a great experience elsewhere and saved a ton of money over these guys. I am writing this email to say if nothing more - reach out to other dealers - it will be quickly obvious that you will save alot of time, money and aggravation. I am not one to write reviews - but this whole experience was laughable and they should really be embarrassed because they just simply don't even comprehend how awful (pricing and customer service) they are compared to their competitors. What makes the experience truly bad is that I had gone up levels of managers and it just seems to be a lack of understanding of the marketplace there. Just disrespectful and disingenious to say the least. I'm sure I'll get some lame response from their manager - do my a favor and save it because your vague generic response will not make my feelings any different. If my word of mouth and this review saves just one customer the tons of money - it'll be worth it. Just do me a favor - just go to another dealer for comparison - you will save SO MUCH.

Great Buying Experience

I recently purchased a 2015 Mazda3. The entire sales team exhibited professionalism and respect for me throughout the process. They knew I had several cars on my short list and made themselves available to me after my test drive without being pesky. When I decided on the Mazda3, they could not have been more accommodating. As a woman, one of the things I always look at with a sales team is who they talk to when I bring my significant other along. Do they still treat me like the purchaser, or do I suddenly become an invisible entity? Skylar and his co-workers passed with flying colors. On the money end of the transaction, they knew what my financial limits were and they found a way to make it happen. Great experience!

I am not a fan of car dealers......but.....

I bought a used Honda CR-V for my daughter from Efrain Heredia in March, 2015. I had been looking for several months on Craigslist and at other dealers. 99% of the time the cars were listed as "excellent" or "very good" condition and were borderline on the low side of "good". The car listed by Continental Mazda was in the condition as advertised. I was surprised there were no surprises. I arrived about 1.5 hours before closing, inspected the vehicle, took a test drive around town and on the highway, reviewed the service records and negotiated a price. I was impressed that I was not taken as a burden when the process went past closing. I recommend this dealership as the whole process was open, honest, fast, efficient and courteous.

Awesome Service - don't take your car anywhere else

I am always treated with respect when I come to service my vehicle. The appointments are kept, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The service department hours are open early so I have time to drop off my car and then pick up with the cashier later in the day. I actually prefer coming here for service than anywhere I have ever been. I can email with the staff to get answers and setup appointments, because I can't always talk on the phone at work. This service allows me to review at my convenience and respond when I can. The whole experience is awesome. I know some people feel they will be gouged if they go to a dealership, but I feel your prices are competitive, with wonderful service.

2015 Mazda CX 5

Having been a part of the Continental family, with my last car purchase 9 yrs ago next door at Continental Acura, I was inclined to look again at Continental when switching from a sedan to a small crossover. The product itself was appealing in comparison to the Honda CRV, Buick Encore, Ford Escape, but I didn't really know much about the CX 5 before Mike W. started working with me. He was knowledgeable, patient, friendly - from the initial 'just looking' visit to the narrowing down of color & trim/final decision/negotiate/deal/paperwork visit. Very happy with the vehicle and the dealer; hope I won't have to write a service review for a long time!

Easiest and best vehicle purchasing experience I have ever had

Continental Mazda, and in particular sales representative Brad W. made this the best car purchasing experience I've ever had, and I've been purchasing vehicles for over 35 years. Brad was responsive to my inquiries, provided me the data in the format I requested so I could calculate and understand the impact on my budget, and worked kept me in the loop on potential incentives for my new 2015 Mazda CX-5. Additionally, he understood my busy schedule and contacted me to let me know that on the night I would be finalizing the purchase, the financing office was quite busy and made sure I did not arrive to early to just sit around and wait for the finance manager. Additionally, Josh, the finance manager had almost all of my paperwork ready so the process was quick and easy. I would highly recommend Continental Mazda to anyone considering a new car purchase as I felt they were fair in pricing their car and my trade, and made the whole process stress free!!!

Like to be as up to date as possible with reviews on places we expect to drop a chunk of cash at and even after having read reviews on the dealership in Schaumburg, we chose to give them a shot and see what was what. Got the salesman hand off/ run around, got talked down to, was made to feel like we were doing the salesman dirty by not purchasing same day after he related his family situation to us... a lot of pressure to buy, numbers they couldn't put in writing without us pushing across a credit card to show the sales manager that we were really intent on purchasing, other such nonsense. They're close to home though, which is why I imagine a lot of people end up purchasing from them. Continental Mazda gave us a experience almost exactly the opposite of Schaumburg Mazda. No pressure. No unnecessary complications. We were very satisfied with the price of the vehicle we purchased. Our salesman Gabriel was always very professional with us and however it is that they didn't have the vehicle optioned as we'd decided we wanted, he drove down to BFE Illinois an picked it up, had it ready and waiting for us when we were ready to go in and settle up. Redundant, but as I stated before, I wish all new car purchases were like the experience we had last week with Gabriel and the guys at Continental Mazda. Great place to do business!

We recently purchased a new Mazda 3, I love it !!!! The Mazda 3 is Great, it has plenty of power, it's cute and best of all it's fun to drive.... a Win Win for me !!!! Jeremy G. helped us from start to finish. Jeremy made the entire process easy and fun, what a Treat !!!!!!! Jeremy, Thank You ! The Entire Staff went above and beyond !! :-) When all the papers were signed I was escorted out to my car where I was given a grand tour of the interior. They explained ALL the bells and whistles so that I was not confused once I got on the road. I can't thank you enough for that. I am thrilled to be driving my new Mazda 3

Recently bought a 2014 Mazda 6. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and my ability to work with Gabe. He was exactly what you need in a salesman.......knowledgeable, personable, smart, funny, etc. He gave me the information I needed to make a decision and let me do so W/O calling, emailing, and bothering me about when I'd be ready. Gabe has been even more helpful AFTER my purchase of the vehicle. I have met with him to answer questions I have had since the purchase of the vehicle. He goes well above and beyond what I would expect from a car salesman. I strongly recommend that if you plan to purchase a Mazda, go to Continental, and ask for GABE!!!!!

Last week we purchased a 2014 Mazda CX-5 AWD Grand Touring from Continental Mazda of Naperville. We were very pleased with our interactions with all of the staff, especially with our sales consultant Gabriel J. We quickly and easily established a good rapport with Gabe as we began to examine the CX-5. After he answered our initial questions and pointed out additional features, he convinced us to take a test drive that day. Throughout the drive, Gabe continued to inform and educate us on the multitude of safety features and interior amenities. Because of his thorough knowledge of the CX-5, we readily gained confidence in him and his explanations of the benefits offered by the various trim levels and technology package. We found his advice throughout the learning and purchasing process (even our selection of a long term extended service agreement) was invaluable in our decision to purchase this SUV. Over our 40 years of buying cars, we have never acted so quickly in purchasing a car after our initial visit. Although we had examined four other compact SUVs before entering your showroom, Gabe’s comprehensive knowledge, friendly outgoing nature, and understanding of our measured approach to car buying were responsible for our decision and our satisfaction.
