Poor customer service
I called ahead and spoke with a manager about a specific used car and was told that it would be ready for a test drive when I arrived. After a one hour drive through the snow I waited for 30 minutes only to be informed that the vehicle had already been put on a truck and taken away for auction.
Another Great Napelton's Experience
This is my second time working with Napelton's. Each experience has been better then the last. Is buying a car a quick experience? No, it's not. But it doesn't have to be a bad one either. Each person I dealt with was extremely helpful in helping me replace my former Jeep that was lost in an unfortunate accident. I was basically dead set on buying a Jeep Renegade. Why? I thought they looked good, got good gas mileage, and it was well within my comfortable price range. Would I have liked a bigger car? Sure, but I didn't think I could afford it. WRONG! I walked into Napeltons as was great by Edgar who promptly took me to his office to start mapping out what I wanted on my car. He then pulled up the inventory and started printing off cars that they had in stock that met my criteria. He also then started pricing rebates that were available on the cars and told me that with what I was looking for, I could likely get a Cherokee with the same features of a Renegade for the same price, AND it would be a 2016 (they only had 2015 Renegades in stock). I decided I still wanted to drive them both to get a feel for the cars. I was then introduced to Tony Gandara, who took me out in the freezing cold to dig out cars for me to test drive. We drove a Renegade and I liked it! Smooth ride, great handling but a little small and kinda tight inside for me. We then went and tried the Cherokee. Smooth ride, great handling, extremely comfortable with some awesome features. I fell in love. I decided on a color and the process took off quickly. While waiting I had the pleasure of chatting with the dealership President Rob. He's a great guy that genuinely wants each of his customers to be happy. He asked what I was buying and what I liked about it and how I came about the decision. With no BS, he assured me I was making a good choice and would be happy. (He told me this last time I bought a Patriot from them - and I was extremely happy.) Once we got the numbers, I was shocked at how low they were able to get my payment, they went above and beyond to ensure I got all the rebates that I was entitled to, and even took the time to go into great detail the benefits of each of those warranties they sell. Whether or not you believe in them, or would want to buy them - they will give you as much detail as you ask for - they aren't trying to hide anything. Edgar was a great help in putting together the pricing. Then, once again, I got brought into the finance room where I got to sit down with Chris again. Chris is also a no-nonsense guy when it comes to questions. You ask it, he'll answer it pretty straight forward. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and knows what he is doing because he is very quick to get everything ready, but will stop and go back at anytime if you have questions, or want him to show you numbers. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain things when I have questions, it makes you feel more confident about your purchase. The key to working with car dealerships is simple. Have an idea what you want, be direct with them and don't be afraid to say no. If you are someone who feels compelled to say yes, even if it is for things that you don't want, that's where you will leave dissatisfied. Oh, and most importantly, don't have an attitude. These are people just like you and me who are trying to make a living. They will go above and beyond to help you with what you need and want - they don't want you to come back unhappy. I would recommend Rob and his team to anyone. They are top of the line.
WORST experience ever!!!
The WORST and most dishonest auto dealer I have seen in my life. My advice is: unless you are an EXPERT in cars and cannot get tricked by car dealers I suggest you start running as fast as you can right now! You try to negotiate the price of the car you are trying to buy, they make you think you are getting a good deal and SLAM you with fake fees that add up to more than the original amount the car was marked. Then less than a week later, guess what? You car start having ALL the troubles you can imagine. What a coincidence, huh? Obviously they will use that "sold as is" as an excuse, and if you start yelling they will pretend to to be interested in solving your problem, but obviously will charge you for the service they LIED they did. My car was having break problems, service engine light was on, anti-lock went on and AWD disabled light, ALL ON WITHIN THE FIRST week. They charger for a service that they did NOT perform, as I went to a real mechanic after all the headache I had with them. Found out that all they did was reset the system so my car would "forget" what its problem was. They were trying to kill some time so when the light when on again it was gonna be too long of a time to go there and complain again. Dishonest, dirty business. No wonder why they have an F on Better Business Bureau, cause they are actually the WORST!!! Start running ASAP!!!
Easy buying experience and great service
We had done quite a bit of research and new the make/model we were looking for. So when we got to the dealer and started working with Suzy it was great. She didn't try to upsell us or change our minds. She worked hard to help us find the model and color that we were looking for even when it wasn't on the lot. We couldn't be happier with the customer service we received and would recommend Suzy and Napleton to anyone in the market for a jeep.
Happy Jeep Owners
Suzy and Sheldon were extremely informative and helpful. They answered all our questions honestly. We inquired information through the website and Sheldon responded immediately with many great options! When we went to the dealer Sheldon handed us over to Suzy who took us on a fun test drive we will never forget, and was more than accommodating for our test driving requests. We left feeling extremely satisfied with our purchase. Together Suzy and Sheldon helped us find exactly what we needed and wanted!
NEVER BUY A CAR HERE
This is a dealership that knowingly takes advantage of people. My 21 year old niece bought a car here 3 days ago. A 93 Saturn sl1. She worked all summer to save money. She researched cars online and found this one. She went in and they saw her, and an easy chump deal, coming a mile away. She test drove the car, fell in love and bought it. Her first clue should have been when they insisted on cash instead of allowing her to use her debit/credit card. But she went and got the cash and happily through it away. She brought the car home and the VERY NEXT DAY the car would not shift out of 2nd gear. She brought it back home and checked the Transmission fluid. It was low so she added some. I called our mechanic just to be safe. He checked it and told her, and I quote, "THIS WAS NOT A SAFE CAR TO SELL - AND THERE IS NO WAY, NO WAY THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT KNOW IT." The transmission is leaking like a sive and it will cost her 1,700 to fix, in addition to that the ball joint is severly loose. Well, of course I called Jake (the so called sales person) who told me he understood my anger and he would check with the "Owner" and call me back. Which of couse he never did. I can't believe there is no recourse for a dealership who knowingly takes all of a kids money, sells them a bad and UNSAFE car and will do NOTHING about it. IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY NEVER BUY A CAR HERE!!!!!!
Good Service and dealer
I bought my Dodge Avenger at Napleton's Dodge. I have been taking it there for two and half years, i had sevice done on it there as oil changes, etc. and i also have had to get my brakes done there. The new thing there is that they have weekend hours that is GREAT. They are very friendlyand there work is execellent won't take my vechile any where else for the service on this car.
Took care of my Durango nicely
We had a major problem with our 2001 Dodge Durango's 4WD and brakes. Although we didn't buy the vehice at Napleton, a friend had recommended that we take our car there. The problem was extensive, but their service manager Sarah kept us professionally informed and gave us an accurate time and cost estimate to repair it. The car was repaired and we were treated courteously. I would recommend them.
Worst service department I've ever seen
I have had a number of bad experiences with Dealership Service departments but Napleton's is by far the worst. I don't even know if I can describe all the problems in the space provided. On Monday 8/8/08 we had our van towed after hours in with what turned out to be an axle problem. The next day we called to find out when they could get our car in to check the problem. It took us five phone calls to even find out if our car was on their record as being there, and the phone switchboard operator Elaine was very rude and kept trying to rush us off the phone. Finally we were given a contact person named Mark, who the next day told us that it was an axle problem and they would need to order a part. We said this was ok and waited a day or so to hear back about the part. This is where things really got ridiculous. Mark kept giving me evasive answers about when the car would be done. On Thursday morning he called and finally confessed that they had lost the keys to our car and two others. He said they could move the car into the garage with a jack and still do the axle work, and would replace the keys. We were not satisfied with this because we felt that a lost (or stolen) key was a security risk, since the dealership had our license number and address. We asked that the key be replaced with a new set and the alarm reset so the lost key would not work. After another day of not hearing back anyone about the status I called for Mark again, and I was told that Mark didn't work at this dealership. At this point I started to think the entire dealership was a scam and our car would soon be sold for parts somewhere. Phone operator Elaine also directed us to a manager named Sarah, but the next day Sarah mysteriously no longer worked there either. Finally we were transferred to a manager named Tom Jasper who actually was pretty helpful, and who also had to take the brunt of me and my wife's pent up frustration. He has told us that our car will be ready with a new alarm by tomorrow, after 9 full days of having it in the shop. Hopefully by this time tomorrow we will have our car back with everything working (knockin on wood as I write this). Again, I would say that this is the worst service department I have ever experienced, and I've seen some bad ones.
BEST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE
The sales person Ron Saunoris is an Awesome Salesperson, he answered all questions that we had and he had very good information about the car. He explained all paperwork and the owner's manual, he went above and beyond the call of duty.
The salesman was very helpful and supportive. He gave us a great deal of time and did not push. If he did not have an answer he went and searched it out or pulled up info on the computer. We did a test drive. He guided us and made sure all our questions were announced and answered.
