Completely satisfied with my recent purchase of a 2017 Elantra Lmtd. I'd like to give a huge thanks to Relations Mgr Symon Torok and the rest of the WC Hyundai team for guiding my wife & I through the test drive/buying process expeditiously and with wonderful sincerity!
The new service manager Jv is very rude and can't solve anything
Scott Goldsborough & Marc Pulizzano treated us great.
My wife and I have been searching to trade our Hyundai Accent for several weeks now. I contacted Hyundai of Wesley Chapel through their website and almost immediately received a response from Scott Goldsborough. I explained what we wanted to do and gave him some preliminary goals we wanted to achieve. Within 36 hours we were at the dealership ( 75 miles from our home) and received the test drive, paperwork we requested, met with Marc Pulizzano; sales manager, and received exactly what we requested. We were treated with respect, honesty, and was 1 of the best car buying experiences we have ever done. I was on the road for over 40 years, have purchased over 40 vehicles and have never received this type of service before. I would recommend Hyundai of Wesley chapel to anyone and especially Scott Goldsborough. Thanks Scott and Marc for making car buying a pleasant experience.
Please read for sad details
3 other dealerships within 30 minutes. Please dont go here. Their maintenance is the rudest and most unprofessional group. Please dont go here. They have lied to me to the tune of thousands of dollars and hyundai has stolen thousands from me. Literally. Please dont go here. There are 3 other hyundai dealerships within 30 minutes drive. Dont buy from a place you will then regret working on your car. Dont you want to feel good when you return to dealership for service or do you want to be reminded of the lying and lack of service?
Fast service, nice people, great sales force !!!
Personal info of previous owner given out..Beware
My ex and I went to this dealership to trade in our SUV and get our names off the title together. When I asked why our trade was valued so low, we were told by the sales manager our trade was in such bad shape it could never be certified and would go straight to auction. Sadly we fell for this, only to see the car on their website a few days later for 20k marked down to 17k. Also along with our paperwork we found a paper that had all the previous owner's infomation. This included her name, address, birthdate, email, home and work phone number. They told us she had been recently divorced and had traded it in for similar reasons like our situation. I complained about these issues by submitting through their website. No one cared. Then I posted on yelp and suddenly someone called me about the review. The same sales man who told us the car was going to auction then lied and acted like he never said that. After talking to a different sales manager I felt a little better. It turned out they gave us a little more than I thought for the trade because the payment was too high for my ex. No one bothered to tell us that at the dealership. Im sure they must use this tactic alot. Tell people the car has to be auctioned then adjust numbers to get them in a happier monthly payment. Why not just give me a fair trade value and not lie. They made excuses for everything. They said the personal info must have been left in the glove box. I don't know how it ended up in the envelope with our paperwork or why that matters really. I am just concerned how easily it was given out in the first place. No one wants there house robbed or identity theft because a dealership is that careless about your info. After much back and forth they claim they will be sending our trade to auction.....more likely they will just send it to another dealership so I'm not so angry. Who knows. They offered us a 50$ gift certificate after all this. We declined. I hope no family ever has to go through this. From reading other reviews and my experience it seems that they scam people on trade ins fairly often. I've bought from mutiple hyundai dealerships and I would recommend courtesy hyundai. Do not trust this dealership, it's just safer to go somewhere else. I hope no other family has this experience.
They only get one star because it's mandatory. Sunday sept. 13 I went to buy a sante fe sport because it ft my current needs. My Elantra was upside down and my credit is not the best and had very little to give down. I was honest about all of this. They assured me they will make it work. That day we came to terms, I signed the papers and drove home with my new Santa Fe. Next day I get a call to add my wife to the loan to show more income. I was concerned but later reassured by Sean from finance that everything is good because of my great history with Hyundai finance and he also said that we were at the possible worst case scnenaio and it could only get better, so again we went home in our new car. He also stated that if anything they would have to lower the price of the car to get us there. Today the 15th of September we went in to sign final papers. That's when I got bamboozled! They said yes I was approved but not for that car unless I have another $3,000 down payment. They said they could put me in a sonata. Obviously I didn't want a sonata. So I demanded my keys back from the Elantra. Well they lost a key. They are not even capable of storing the keys properly. This is called spot delivery. Don't let yourselves fall victim to this. Unless you have real good credit do not drive off with your "new vehicle" or let them congratulate you on your new car. Make sure the paper work is final and not just pre-approved. Never buy a car on the weekend. This has got to stop. Though legal, it's totally unethical, unfair and very disheartening.
Awesome Experience....Be sure to ask for Mr. Fenton
I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. John Fenton as my sale person. He made my experience worry free and catered to all of my needs! He was very professional and did not waste my time....I had many offers from other dealership but because of how he conducted business.... I visited only one dealership and that was because of how Mr. Fenton handled me as a prospective client. Mr. Fenton went above and beyond the call of duty and because of my experience with him I purchased the 2016 Elantra. I will refer anyone who is interesting in purchasing a car to this dealership and I truly recommend Mr. Fenton. When I am ready to purchase another car I will surely seek out My Fenton and this Hyundai dealership....Colleen
Failure to take responsibility
I purchased a tire warranty from Wesley Chapel Hyundai on 4/20/13 for my 2011 Santa Fe which I have since traded in on a newer model. I asked the dealership to cancel the warranty on the 2011 Santa Fe back in March 2014 and filled out all the appropriate paperwork with the vehicles VIN number, year, make, model, etc. After months and months of back and forth, and having to go through numerous people at the dealership, they finally cancelled the tire warranty. Well, a few months back when my husband got a flat tire on his 2013 Elantra, I found out that Wesley Chapel Hyundai had erroneously cancelled the tire warranty on the WRONG car! They cancelled the tire warranty on my husband's car NOT the tire warranty on the 2011 Santa Fe. So because we had the car towed to a Hyundai dealership assuming we still had a tire warranty, we had to pay a high dollar price for a new tire, which we never would have done had we known they cancelled our warranty. After months and months of back and forth, ignored phone calls, being given the run around, and Wesley Chapel Hyundai refusing to take responsibility for their actions, Scott in the finance department finally admitted that on 4/20/13 Wesley Chapel Hyundai took our money to purchase a tire warranty for our 2011 Santa Fe, but never established the plan and they have been holding onto our money for over two and a half years. I finally received the refund for the never established tire warranty two weeks ago, without an apology - mind you. But despite my repeated attempts, Wesley Chapel Hyundai will not refund me the money on the replacement tire we had to purchase for my husbands car, and Scott once again will not return my phone calls, and Wesley Chapel Hyundai refuses to take responsibility for cancelling my husbands tire warranty erroneously.
Worst Experience Ever
Worst experience EVER ... I had previously leased a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, a year later,I not only purchased the Elantra outright, but I also bought a 2012 Sonata on the same day. A year later my situation changed, I came in to trade the two cars in for 1 bigger car. They evaluated my cars, both of which were in great condition, the Elantra had a dent in the hood due to a rock hit coming off a truck and the Sonata basically sat Garage kept the whole year due to my illness, so it had almost the same miles and was in the same condition as when I bought it a year previously. When I got back their evaluation on the cars, they offered me well below Bluebook value on both cars. I had paid over $28,000 for the two cars a year previously and they were offering me $16,000 on the two combined a year later. They offered $6000 on the Elantar that I had paid $12,000 for a year ago and $10,000 on the Sonata that I had paid $16,000 on the previous year. The worst part is they tried to play me for a fool saying how their cars depreciate faster and don't hold their value. A whole load of BS, and I knew it. I got up and walked out, but that is not where the story ends. The next day I hear back from Hyundai, they call to offer me a lease on a brand new car, saying that they would take my two trades as a down payment on a lease and that I would have to pay them $135 a month. So not only in 3 years would I have spent an additional $4,800 but I would walk away with no equity at all. Then the salesman tries to tell me how I am better off this way. I have given this company my business the past few years and this is how they treated me, I can only imagine how many people they have tried to rip off in the past. In the end I ended up going to CARMAX on Nebraska Ave. CARMAX gave me $10,000 on the Elantra and $12,000 on the Sonata a difference of $6000. Very very BIG gap there, don't you think. Make of it what you will, but BUYERS BEWARE, please do your due diligence before making ANY deal with Wesley Chapel Hyundai. Please check out other dealers, ESPECIALLY CarMax as not only did they do the right thing by me, but they were professional, courteous, and made the WHOLE process of buying a car easy, fun and enjoyable instead of stressful.
My husband and I were mainly doing some research on our options for purchasing a car when we visited the dealership and didn't expect to leave with a new car. We were greeted within the first few minutes of being on the lot and directed to Alan Macias. Alan took the time to understand our current situation and gave us some options for getting out of a really bad loan and into a new car. He was professional, knowledgeable and made the entire process seamless. We were dreading the idea of going through the car buying process, but were truly amazed at how easy it was from beginning to end. The best part was how quickly everything happened. We found a car we loved, talked over the numbers and signed the paperwork in no time at all. We love our new car and this was definitely our best car experience ever!
I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Accent from Hyundai of Wesley Chapel on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Here are some of my thoughts and opinions: 1. The Salesman, John D : Great person to work with. He was friendly, straightforward, reasonable, knowledgeable, and honest. Hes a good guy I absolutely recommend him. 2. The Dealership in General: The cars we wanted to see were stored on an adjacent, unpaved lot. It was all grass. The ground was wet and muddy. It really seemed like a third-rate used car outfit. Our salesman did the best he could to brighten up the experience and make it as convenient as possible. But it was a weird area to look at cars, especially with my son and fiance tagging along. 3. The Finance Guy: He added extras into the sales contract without talking to me about it, and then told me to sign. His explanations about certain fees were vague and condescending. He shredded and reprinted the contract three times before he produced a version that reflected the deal John and I constructed earlier. As a side note, I want to mention the Service Department. I own a second car a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. I bring the Elantra into the service department from time to time. These guys are excellent. I have nothing but positive feedback for the service department. Theyre quick and reasonably priced even for the bigger jobs. Every single person is extremely friendly and respectful. I LOVE the Service department at Wesley Chapel Hyundai.
I am a very busy professional who does not have allot of free time to spend at a dealership shopping for a car. My daughter was turning 21 and I wanted to get her a new car. She shopped online her entire spring break and came across the Elantra. All I had to do was make one call, John did all the rest....from bringing the car to my house for a test drive, to filling out the application paperwork at my house, to bringing/signing the documents at my office. It just doesn't get any better thank that.
Don't go in this dealership
I can go into a long tirade on how bad this dealership is but I only have 7500 characters. basically they let my daughter walk out on a cash deal where she offered $12,350 up from a previous offer of $11,500 for a vehicle that the dealer absolutely would not budge from at $12,645.00 in which he said he would throw in the car tinting. so the difference was about $180.00. this [non-permissible content removed] sales rep told my daughter that in a couple of days that car was going to auction so it would seem to me that they would be losing more money doing that and did I mention that this was a cash deal to be paid in full!!!! before my daughter went down there I had a conversation with the sales rep over the phone and he told me that he would not lose a deal over a couple hundred bucks, well I guess he did. my advice to this dealership would be take a page from the dealer up the street Wesley chapel Nissan and learn how to treat potential customers and learn how to make a deal because you're absolutely horrible
worst dealer i have been.....
overall terrible experience.i talked to Jason Marrero(biggest scam started with him) by phone he gave me reasonable price on the phone and he said vehicle is in their stock .when I went there the Jason said he has to leave cause his daughter birthdays (and transferred me to another sales man(Mr. Alan). He does not have a clue about wht I want, how much the price Jason gave me and tried to sell me much more over than other dealers around.and most importantly he said they do not have the vehicle in their stocks.!!!!!!I told him "are you [non-permissible content removed] kidding me,I am driving all the way from naples,fl to tampa and u are trying to sell to me much more expensive and you do not have the vehicle here..and you know what did he do,he left me middle of the room like I am nothing, and nobody asked whats going on ,can we help you or something..seriously be aware of dealership and their scams..full of shameless people
Very Satisfied with Dealership
I had a very positive experience with Hyundai of Wesley Chapel. The salesman (Kyle) worked hard to get me what I was looking for at about the price I wanted to spend. Bought an Elantra and I love it!
As a first time car buyer I was apprehensive about tackling this whole process but I did my research and contacted Jason M. (one of the Internet managers). I made it clear pricing was a priority and after dealing with several dealerships in my area Jason was the first one to shoot straight and give me a fair price. His responses were quick and he gave me all the info. I requested no matter how trivial. I set an appt. for the next day and when I arrived everything was as stated and the customer service was excellent. No pressure and I was able to ask many questions. I bought a brand new 2013 elantra and I absolutely love it. Cars great, warranty is great, and hyundai of Wesley chapel was awesome. Come see Jason you will not be disappointed. I will be back for my next vehicle wouldn't want to deal with those other guys!
They will make it right!
After being extremely dissapointed on Tuesday, we walked out and had no intentions on returning to this dealership, then, after recieving a call from the General Sales Manager "Ron", we were able to come to an agreement. The return visit to the dealership was completly hassle free. everybody was extemely helpful (Marc "M." and Joe W. expecially), they had all the paperwork ready and the buying process was very pleasant. The General Manager made sure that we were taken care of and was adoment in changing our prespective of the dealership. If you are looking for a new or certified car, Overall, I would recomend Hyundai of Wesley Chapel. Make sure you ask for Marc M. or Joe W., they will take care of your needs.
Abused Social Security Number
I had purchased my second car at the Wesley Chapel Hyundai and during the process i stated that I had a pre-approval letter from Sun Coast Credit Union and I thought things would be seemless. That was not the case. Remember that when you have a pre-approval letter from a bank or credit union you do not need to give the dealership your social security number. During the final paperwork process the Credit Manager asked for my social security number to confirm I still had good credit. He explained to me that it was like when you buy a house that they have to run your credit one more time. This is actually not true. What the Credit Manager did was run my credit and created a new loan application under his name without using the pre-approval so that he would get credit for the loan. i did not find this out until a few weeks later when the Credit Union called me and asked if I was still going to use the loan that they had approved for me. I explained to them that I already used the loan a few weeks ago. After their research they found out that the Credit Manager did not use my Pre-Approval they created a whole new one under their information to get credit. Now by doing this the dealership get credit and more money from the credit union then they were entitled to get and I lose $250 as I am now not eligible for the special credit union incentives. I called the dealership and left a few messages and I never once got a call back from the General Manager at the dealership. I left a few messages with the Sales Manager who sold me the car and again no call back. I would be very careful going to this place ever as you might find you are having a fast one pulled on you as well. Stay away from this location.
Best Customer Service Ever
The Best Customer Service on the Plant When you love what you do it shows. I am the type of customer that stays loyal to those that show how much they appreciate my business. Long story short, I purchased an Elantra 2013 in Nov of 2012 from my local Hyundai dealership in Wesley Chapel, FL from Joe W. Joe got me a fantastic deal and was more than helpful. This was my first car purchase in over 10 years of a new car. The whole experience was more than wonderful. I mean really wonderful they made me feel like I was family. A few months later, I had to bring my car in for a problem I had been having with my Blue Tooth. I was told that it was an issue that hadn't been determined by the main Hyundai Corporation. I was heart broken, upset over the flaw in my brand new car. Joe and Ron (The Main Man) decided they were not going to let this event dampen my feelings about having a new car. The dealerships offered to buy the car back and finance another brand-new car to rectify the situation. Only this second car was better than my first new car. This new car was an Elantra Coupe 2013 with bucket seats and twin pipes. Here comes the best part they financed me for a low 7.0 APR! The reason why this situation was so amazing was because the first new car I bought, I needed co-signer. On the second new car I was able to be on the loan all by myself for the same exact payment as the first new car! Yes! But, it gets better. So, I was over excited and drove my Elantra Coupe super happy that not only did my Blue Tooth now work, but I had all of the extra goodies for the same price. The next day I received a phone call from the dealership to come by to finish up a few things. No biggie - I figured. When I got to the dealership everyone was smiles, as I was. When I spoke with Ron (The Main Man) he told me to brace myself. I was terrified, thinking the bank kicked my loan back. Nope, the bank gave me an even lower APR of 3.9%. Since purchasing the first new car in Nov and making two payments, the bank decided to finance without the need of a co-signer. My credit score had improved dramatically. This was the reason for the extra paperwork. I am totally happy with my entire experience and would recommend Wesley Chapel, FL Hyundai to EVERYONE! So, go talk to Joe W. and tell him I sent you! You will be so happy you did. Jenice Armstead
Even though it took 5 hours to lease and Elantra and evaluate our trades. We were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. Got a good deal as well!
