Stopped in w/o an appointment, to see if they could least diagnose the problem with my Jeep's soft top. I'd stored it, unused, for 4 years & haven't been able to put it back on. Looks like frame is damaged from storing & moving it. I had the roof tied up in the back seat & trunk area (doesn't really HAVE a trunk) since it was the only way I could take it there. Travis from service came out, took a quick look and listened carefully to my problem. He said they would have to try to put the top on the Jeep to see what might be wrong and said I'd have to make an appointment for that since it's rather time consuming. I really can't make an appointment because, with no top, I'm dependent on the weather report for the day. I asked what a new top would cost. He didn't know, so he sent me in to Parts, where Zachary assisted me. Since the whole top would be quite expensive, I asked if he could tell me how much the bigger sections of the frame would cost. He showed me a diagram of the frame all taken apart & looked up the parts I selected. I chose them because one of them is definitely bowed & the other part seems it's not functioning correctly. The price of those parts alone was quite expensive & that didn't include labor. When I told him I had not had the top on for 2 years, he said it's possible the fabric just needs to be stretched & he explained how to do it. He also suggested the option of finding a used one & told me there are Facebook pages specifically for Jeeps where people sell all kinds of red parts. He was extremely patient with me. On my way out, Travis asked me what I found out about the price. With my permission, he had moved my Jeep out of the service line & parked it in such a way that I could drive straight out, since backing up with the top in the back would be difficult due to limited visibility. He could not have been more courteous & helpful. I've had recent experience with at least 2 other guys in Parts recently. Both were extremely helpful. I only got Mike's name though.
I bought a Chrysler Town & Country from the used car department at Douglass Jeep last Friday. Not only I but also my father were told the van was in perfect condition with no issues and had been went over top to bottom and found nothing wrong. I talked to them about needing a new family car as I have 3 children(my youngest, 4 was with me) they told me this would be very reliable and dependable. However a week later while driving down the highway the van would not switch gears, lights flashed and the windows were running slow. The vehicle then died and would not start even with a jump. This seemed odd since the battery in it appeared brand new. We had it towed to them thinking they would fix this or at least help. They didnt even look at the car until the next night, didnt answer our phone calls and finally called back in the evening to say it was the alternator. They have told me they will not pay for it, nor help with the cost. I am disgusted that they would not help in any way with this and probably knowingly put my family in a vehicle with issues. My personal mechanic is now towing it from their store to work on it, as I will not allow them to do anything else to the vehicle.
Not a good experience!
We just bought a 2015 Ford escape a week ago and they promised me that the car has no history of accident and structural damage, yesterday saturday when i was cleaning our new purchased vehicle i saw a crack(1 inch) in front bumper i called immediately and spoke with there manager and he told me that they couldnt help us about this issue. They cant fix it for us. I was expecting that they will help us coz this is like a mistake in purching one of thier vihicle. Its a 18000$ door out price. Its very frustrating, my wife and i are upset coz we are expecting a clean and good looking car for our family. AND THEY WOUDNT HELP US TO FIX THIS ISSUE OF THIER VEHICLE!!!!!
Worst Service Ever!
I strongly advise not using this dealership for service. I went to this dealership this morning since I purchased my vehicle there this year. I simply wanted to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I was first in line and arrived at 7 am. After about an hour I walked outside expecting to see them finishing up and there were 2, yes 2 lube technicians working on my truck and they were trying to take the wheels off without removing the wheel covers. One had a severely cut hand wrapped in electrical tape. Finally a mechanic walked over and whispered into ones ear they needed to remove the plastic wheel covers. After they did this I walked back inside. After another 45 minutes I walked back outside to see them trying to remove my oil filter with a mallet and chisel. By now there were 2 lube techs, a mechanic and the two service managers at my truck. They then informed me that one of my wheel covers was cracked. I was astonished since I detail my truck every weekend, but I try to trust people. So even though I was suspicious I believed them. After another 30 minutes they could not get the oil filter off and told me to go to the Toyota dealership up the street since they did not have the right tools. So after 3 hours, I drove up Highway 41 to Cramer Toyota. They put my truck on the rack and informed me that all four wheel covers were cracked in multiple places and they must have rotated the oil filter the wrong way because it was extremely over-tightened. I have to go back Monday to talk with the Manager about the four damaged wheel covers (I dont expect any help considering what I experienced today) and I fully intend on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Anyone considering using this dealership be warned!!!! By the way, after waiting 3 hours, only one other customer showed up for body work. So despite what you may think, others must have experienced similar terrible service judging by the lack of customers. The Toyota dealership was packed.

Just got my new 2014 Challenger R/T and I am in love. This is my 4th vehicle purchase from Douglas Jeep and all were sold to me by Craig N. I have not bought a new car since 2004, and remembering the good experience I had then I sought out Craig to handle getting my new Challenger. I just Traded in my 2011 Dodge Caliber for a new 2013 Dodge Journey and Craig N. was my salesman. I have bought my last 4 new vehicles from Craig and all I can say Is Craig is by far the best salesman I have ever had the pleasure of car shopping with. I told him what I was looking for in a vehicle and he pulled up to the front door with the new vehicle I drove home in.
