I was lied to by sales, director denies liability
I purchased a new 2016 Toyota Tundra crewmax 4x4. I bought my truck primarily to pull our rather large boat around to different states and areas to experience the lakes and waterways as far as 2000mi round trip. Having navigation was a high priority because turning around on small country roads or getting lost are not options. I was lead to believe by the salesmen (there were many due to quitting) that my navigation was a true gps navigation. When towing our boat to an area unknown in South Carolina, we got lost due to losing cell service causing the navigation to just stop. We didn't know the point at which it stoped guiding us so we didn't know where to go back to. We had nothing as a back up because we were using our only real navigation source our cell. In an attempt to fix this problem I reached out to the director over the dealership and was told the only way to fix this was to buy another new truck for more money. I'm not interested in paying more when I just bought this one. I gave them plenty of chances to make this right. They were clear to me it was not their problem. If you are wondering why we don't just get a dash mount gps? Its because my brother had one on his dash/windshield, was rear ended by a person texting, and gave him a severe head injury. So now we are forced to sell our boat. My wife is due for a new vehicle this year and we are so upset over this, we will NOT be going to "Courtesy Toyota" due to not taking responsibility for their lies.
Great service from all the staff.. Cleanliness of the establishment,f friendly staff and willingness to help satisfy customers need. Specially Beth.
No pressure sale.
Did some research online for my desired vehicle. Found what I wanted at Courtesy Toyota, Brandon. Visited the dealership, and located "my" SUV, test drove it and loved it. Time constraints made it impossible for me to complete the sale that day, but my salesmen was very nice and we kept in contact for several days until I could return. I am now enjoying my new vehicle and was completely satisfied with all the folks that helped to finalize the transaction. I was comfortable and not pressured to buy something that I did not want. I will surely return to Courtesy Toyota of Brandon for my next purchase.
Professional and courteous.
Good experience. Older vehicle but repaired in a timely fashion. The representative was attentive and exceeded my expectations by asking about me having transportation while car in shop.
Great service. Price could have been lower.
Service provided was very timely. Staff was extremely courteous. I think the price was a little high but it was fair for the most part.
Friendly and caring service people made us feel good
My service advisor was Victor and he was awesome. He reassured me my car would be done in time for my appointment and it was. He was very polite and informative. Since Chad is the supervisor now, Victor will be my permanent advisor from here on out.
Good customer service

Best internet experience so far
All of the haggling was handled over email, I knew I wanted the car, so it was easy and once I arrived, I signed papers and drove away.
Worst Experience Ever
This review is with my experience with Courtsey Hyndai. 1. Inexperienced Sales Associate. Did not know the vehicle or where it was located on the property, advised me options and promised options that were not available on my vehicle. Lost my orginal tag, placed another owners orginal tag on my new car so I was sent home on a fraudulent tag. Called the GM to complain, he did not return my call or answer to my concerns and email. The car arrived damaged and with only 1 set of keys. Promised overnight delivery of keys, I am still waiting. Sent back and forth multiple times with a loaner with no gas. Not even reimbursed for my multiple trips or gas. Worst experience ever and no offer to compensate or earn my respect back for this dealership. It is why the car business has the low reputation it has. Very poor customer service.
Wasted my time
Set an appointment up to come and test drive a 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited or XLE. Received an email the day of from the person we set up the appointment confirming it. When I showed up, the person we set up the appointment with was not there. Another person tried to help us but informed us they did not have any XLEs or Limiteds in stock. I was frustrated at having my time wasted on an appointment to see a car they did not have, so moved on to go visit another Toyota dealer who did have what I wanted to see in stock. The person who helped us did say he wanted to win our business so to give him a chance after visiting the other dealer. That Friday, a Limited did show up on this dealers website. I called and asked him about it, but he said the car was not actually on the lot, but he would walk the lot to see what was there and get back to me. He finally did get back to me on Sunday (to tell me they didn't have what I wanted), but by that time I had already purchased from the other, more competent dealer.
Classic bait and switch
I never thought I would be writing a review, but I felt that strongly about you being forward of this dealership. I got the price Promise from Edmunds and was promptly called by this dealership and several others. I chose this location for the price and the ongoing communication about the vehicle we were working a deal on for 3 days: 2015 Toyota Highlander XLE for $34,563, your savings $3,710. Stock# FS069774. Your Offer Certificate for 2015 Toyota Highlander (Confirmation # 9774KMMC0226) I was negotiating this deal for my parents, who had a trade and I did not want them to get taken advantage of, with overpricing etc. Trade numbers were discussed, VIN numbers given, buyers order written as much as possible was taken care of over the 3 days to secure the deal. The night before I wrote the sales person to confirm all was well, I was sending them up. The day of, I called the sales person to confirm all was well I was sending parents. All was allegedly well. 2 hours prior to them hitting the road to complete the deal.. you know the story. They arrive and as they meet the sales person, they are advised that the vehicle we were negotiating on.. Guess what.. was sold I was told this and I immediately called the dealership and spoke with the sales manager Randy Felice. After I advised him of the prior and told him this appeared to be a classic bait and switch he has the nerve to ask me what that is ?! Realizing this was not going well, I asked him to do a deal with another veh. As comparably equipped as possible. While working the numbers again, and after 2 hours trying to resolve, he tells my parents that veh. Was also sold. After attempting to corner him with a dealer trade option for a comparably equipped veh. He advised he couldn't do that over the weekend. He came up with every excuse not to sell that veh. For the amount they offered via the Edmunds price promise. Unfortunately this dealership lived up to every bad reputation a dealership has. I have experience buying vehicles, I had the Manheim auction report, and had a very realistic number on the trade. They offered 2K less than they offered initially, by the way on the trade. Do yourself a favor, save time, energy and frustration and stay away from this dealership. This is the only review I have written on a dealership, but I felt that compelled, to waste even more time on this event Thanks Kevin
Almost an "A"
I brought my '14.5 Camry Hybrid in for its first 5000 mile check up. I was greeted and treated professionally throughout this service. However, I asked if the "Maintenance Service Soon" warning would be reset. I was assured that it would be. When I returned home, I found the this indication was not rest. Thankfully, the owner's manual had instructions on resetting this warning which I was able to accomplish. It is the little things that count. It tells we if the dealership is detail orientated or not. The jury is out. I will give them a second chance.
When shopping for cars, I narrowed my test drives down to 3 different cars, one of which was the Toyota Camry. I went to their dealership on SR 60 since it was the closest to where I live. I walked up to the door and came to greet me, he asked me, What are you in for today? I said, I would like to test drive a Toyota Camry LE. He said Ok and started walking with me to the parking lot to find one to drive. He asked me if I was test driving any other cars, I told him yes, to which he asked which cars I was trying out. I told him, I am here to check out the Toyota, if you sell me on this car, I will choose it He said, So you arent going to tell me the other cars you are testing out I just told him to not worry about the other cars, I wanted to see if I liked the Camry the best. At this point, without saying anything, he just turned a 180 and started walking back towards the building. He then proceeded to shout back to me that he is going to go get someone else to talk to me. Rude! I then asked to speak to his manager which came out with another sales associate along with the previous employee and tried to get me with that sales associate, but I told him that the first employee just made sure I would not buy there. That is when the manager looked at his employees and said, Alright well lets go inside. If they dont care about future customers, just think about how bad they will be if you get your maintenance done there. Stay away from this place, they have no respect. They are the ones that give dealerships bad names. Because of this I never ended up test driving the Camry, I tested the other two cars and bought one 2 weeks after that.
Went to a couple of local Toyo dealers in town. Coutesy Toyota of Brandon was the only one that acutually honored the price. Stadium tried to charge me some market ajustment when I got there. I thought that was funny! Go to Brandon if you want a good deal.
My Service advisor Gary M provided outstanding service
My first visit to this dealership. The service advisor that greeted me in the service drive was Gary M, Gary was very clear in explaining the process and costs associated with the services my Tundra needed. I was fortunate to meet the mechanic that worked on my truck and Miguel performed the service repairs in under the expected time. As a Contractor I don't have time to sit and wait, Gary and Miguel got me back to work very quickly. I live 50 miles from this dealership and have to pass other Toyota dealerships to get here but it is worth the drive based on the value they place on my time once I arrive. Thank you again Gary Regards Brad
Very satisfied with Scotty H's professional conduct
I had a bad experience at a different dealership. So I spoke with Scotty over the phone and told what exactly I was looking for. He called me back within 10 min and we had a deal. He was very patient and professional and I got a very good deal on price. With a bad experience at another dealership I didn't want to go to any dealership. If it wasn't for Scotty I wouldn't have bought the car from Courtesy. The finance manager was very professional very straight I was in an doubt in less than 2 hours with a new car. They let me take the car while wait for my bank to send the check for vehicle purchase.
Best Experience Ever!
Just had the best experience ever buying a car at Courtesy Toyota of Brandon. Don't forget to ask for the Internet Mgr Damian. He was on point with no haggle and hassle. Thank you for my new Camry!
Hank made the purchase of our new Tacoma extra easy and stress free. He was friendly and took care to get us lined up with the Manager and Finance team in a short timeframe. Thanks Hank for giving us info on the Tacoma features and helping us setup the hand free bluetooth to work with our phones!!!
Internet Sales Division Shines
Got the best price, best treatment and negotiating experience from Robert and Pete of the internet sales division. Info from Edmunds and other sites allowed us to understand what we each could afford. Haven't bought a new car since 2001 and was glad to see that my this case: things have improved a lot. Everybody knew what they were doing and did it well.
