This dealership engages in deceptive sales practices

This dealership engages in deceptive sales practices. The total time spent at the dealership was over 7 hours from 9:30am - 5:00pm on 12/27. I still cannot believe it took this long to purchase a car. The biggest issue I have is the automatically applied warranties and extras that Eric Dugas put into the sales contract without asking. The extra warranties included GAP, extended warranty, road hazard and some sought of clear coat protection. They say this protective clear coat protection was applied during detailing. I have serious doubts that it was since the car went to detailing before signing any forms. I still believe these extras should have been an option and not assumed I wanted them which I didn't. In the end would I buy another car from this dealership and the answer would be NO. I was able to cancel the warranties by filling out some forms at the dealership. I called the warranty company after 2 weeks and asked if the warranty cancellation forms were submitted by the dealership. The answer was No. I faxed them my paperwork and it only took a week to get a refund posted to the loan. So I have to give the warranty company credit here however the dealership not so much. It has been 6 weeks and the dealership still has not refunded the sales tax that was associated with the purchase of these warranties. This is just one more documented instance of how this dealership is knowingly stealing from its customers. So now let's talk a little bit about the warranty company that they are pushing on its customers. The company is called Fidelity Warranty Services which part of JM&A Group. I would urge everyone to look up this company and read the reviews which are mostly negative in nature. The ratings range from 1.5 to 2 stars with over 150 complaints. Why would a dealership push such a warranty? This dealership also charges $799 for GAP insurance through Fidelity Warranty Services. This is a gross overcharge at the customer expense when most banks charge less than $300 which is a significant difference. I was unable to cancel clear coat protection. So in return I will instead post many reviews about the sales practices which exist at this dealership. It is my sincere hope that this review will serve as a warning to someone considering this dealership in the future and the obvious price inflations due to the add-ons at the customer’s expense. I would look at a different dealership.

1 Airbag warning light; the new seat belt was obtained and installed within 5 days of order. 2 Badly positioned struts were adjusted - I have no way of telling the difference while driving, but time will tell. 3 I was advised to find online coupon - got 10% off

The service was outstanding. The problem I had was solved. Another Chrysler dealership couldn't solve the problem and said the Chrysler factory service department would have to be involved by telling the service tech how to fix the problem. Not true the dealership in New Port Richey solved the problem.

My husband and I visited 5 dealerships ovet yhe last few months looking for a new truck. The RAM is by far the BEST truck for the $$$. The ride and features made this the best purchase and the many different features allowed us to customize our BIG HORN to our liking. I brought my Jeep into Ferman for repair last month and was given back a vehicle with problems amounting to more than DOUBLE the cost of the original work (and that’s at a discount). When I confronted my service manager, Steve N., he denied fault, telling me it was a coincidence that this particular issue arose when Ferman was in possession of my Jeep. When I asked to speak to a manager, Steven N. told me I could not. I was not taken seriously at any point during this fiasco, merely shushed and brushed under the rug by Steve N. and Ferman Jeep. Also, from what I’ve read, this is NOT the first time Ferman repairs have had this result. Get service work done at Ferman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram – Tampa AT YOUR OWN RISK, as well as that of your vehicle and your wallet!
