I would like to say thank you for Truly exceptional service at Keyes Van nuys on last Saturday to Alfred and Palash. You guys did an excellent job and help me out.
Came in yesterday afternoon with my sister. We don't have appointment, we just want to check out the cars and deals that they have. Right when we walked in Morry greeted us and asked us what car are we looking for. I told him the specifically what I want and I was able to test drive it. In the beginning everything went smooth. When we start discussing about the price of the car Morry totally change his attitude to us. Im planing to trade my car and I mentioned them how much my mileage in my car. Morry asked for my car keys to check the VIN# of my car and to check my mileage. He came back to us and showed us paper with numbers. I have strict budget and I'm not going to change my mind with the price that I want. Morry insulted me saying "you can't afford the car you want", in my head I'm like "boy you don't know who your talking too!" He asked for my credit card and I gave him my Amex card. He left our table and talked to his boss, then his boss came to us saying we have to be flexible, and I was. I told them NO and I want my keys and credit card back! They both left and Morry will get my stuff. BUT NO!! A manager name Jim talked to us saying that the price that I want is impossible so my sister and I told them THEN GIVE ME MY KEYS AND MY CREDIT CARD NOW! We don't want the car! Jim and Morry left the table AGAIN they said they will give me my stuff. AGAIN NO!!! Another guy came in our table saying "please give me 10secs" And we said NO! Give me my stuff! The 4th guy that we talked too, he finally gave us my keys and card. HOWEVER! When we are walking outside this 4th guy was waiting for us. But we told him to give me my papers that I signed! My sister walked inside with him to get my papers, then my sister found out that MORRY STOLE my CAR REGISTRATION!! I was in the car and my engine is on and I'm ready to go. When my sister told me that they have my CAR REGISTRATION I got really mad so I turn off the engine and I walked towards Morry I told him "I gave you my keys to check for VIN # and mileage BUT you are not allowed to touch my stuff and steal from me!" I was standing in front of him for 10secs and he couldn't say anything! I went back to my car and when we are about to leave Morry knocked on my window saying "I've been nice to you and this is what I'm gonna get?" I told him "STEALING IS NOT NICE!" What if I actually left the building and I get pulled over ? Then I'm in trouble right?! Seriously why would you take my car registration without my permission?! They held us hostage, they harassed us, they don't want to give me my stuff and stole my car registration! And they didn't apologize! It sucks I didn't get a chance to take a video. I will NEVER come back and I DO NOT recommend this place! They will insult you, they will give you a headache, they are very SHADEY, RUDE, and INCONSIDERATE! Please don't give them your credit card and your driver license, bring a copy of your driver license with you. I just wish I can put a 0 star in here. Dealership=STEALERship

Happy with purchase of new Camry se 2017 This is the third car I purchase from keyed toyota I would like to thank sale person George sales y.advisor Veronica and manager or is one for their kind support which makes the purchase of the car es
Just picked up a new prius from Keyes Toyota. The whole experience was great, Jason helped me out and the whole thing took maybe 30 min. Thanks Keyes
Worst experience ever I literally walked in was greeted by the Internet person that I spoke to which was Micheal who I had spoke to on the phone and explained my credit situation. I was then handed off to Alfred i don't even know his position. I was pretty much told Oh you know with your credit we can't do much but then ask me what is your credit? I said I don't know you guys have my information which he obviously hadn't done. After looking at my information he says oh well you know it's better if you have a cosigner fine so then I say I want this specific model and I showed him a screenshot of a car that they have advertised on their website and I give them a stock number he brings me another car stating that he can't give me the car that I wanted at that price and I said well it's advertised so you have to give me at that price and he said yes but it's not gonna be that price exactly and it's not going to meet your payment and after breaking down numbers verbally he then tells me OK fine we can go over things just give me a few more minutes let me finish up mind you I had waited over 30 minutes for the car to show me the car, brings the wrong car is not the car. When I told the employee that that is not the car I asked to see he says this is the one they told me to bring he was another sales men I asked for a specific stock # he says I don't know then I say okay I am going to leave this is too much back and fourth for nothing he says okay bye and then complains to another employee about wanting to leave him. I didn't get his name though. Alfred then sees me after I go back in to get my copy of copy of credit report then he asked me to wait another few minutes I wait another 20 minutes and still no one comes so I finally just left the dealership this was the worst car buying experience ever. Totally feel as if I was not taken seriously because of the way I was dressed and being a woman. This was seriously the worst Experience I have ever had. I have purchased 4 other cars in the past and this was by far the worst experience.
Great service from Mark Gili
i went to get my car serviced early in the morning and i fortunately ended up being attended by Mark Gili. it was quick and easy and he made me feel comfortable. he knew i was getting picked up but have been waiting for a while so he made sure that everyone worked hard to get my car done before my ride can get there.
Pushy, they don't listen
I went in to purchase a vehicle that I saw online the weekend of July 4th. I had a pre approval already from a bank. I told them that I had a pre approval and that I wanted to use that bank. They insisted on getting all of our information down again and adding my husband also. I told them several times that I did not want to do this and they still took all the info. (My fault I should have been stronger, but honestly they kind of just corner you.) We were told to text them our financial information in the form of a picture. Which we did right away. Over a week later I get a call to find out if we have sent in the info. I had to once again resend it. Again over a week later I get a call that they can't use that because it won't print. (Really) My husband was out of town so I had to wait to send in the info for a third and fourth time. Even after that it took more than a week to finally get the paper work turned into my bank. I would never recommend them to anyone. I have gone to other dealers and I know that it is their job to try their hardest, but I thing they would get a lot further if they just treated people with a true human sense. Even after I told them that I would not trade in my old car, they were not offering enough for me to leave it. They had 3 different people come and talk to me to try to get me to trade in my car. They really do not know how to listen.
Epitome of stereotypical shady used car salesmen...
I had the worst car buying experience of my life at Keyes Toyota. They used a bait and switch tactic with the price, a buy now pitch and promised terms that were completely reneged on once I signed the sales agreement and took possession of the car. The completely fouled up the DMV registration process causing me to be without plates for over nine months. No one would take responsibility for these issues. I found out a friend got a new, not used version of a near identical truck for about 12% less than what I paid. I was lied to, ripped off, jacked around and not helped after the purchase with simple matters. Don't ever deal with this dealership!!
The worst service
This is the absolute worst dealership I've ever been to. Not only is their customer service lacking, the actual service they provide on the cars is poor. I described the problem and was told there was "really nothing we can do." I took the same problem to another Toyota dealership, and they diagnosed several things that could be causing the problem, merely off my description. It was as if they had a working knowledge of the cars they service, how novel! I will never return to Keyes. I'd feel more comfortable leaving my car with a chop shop than with these unscrupulous, uninformed service reps. Go, literally, anywhere else.
I have never been treated so poorly. I went to get my Prius and they tried to sell me the car at sticker price plus $495 for locking wheel locks which cost $15 at Pep Boys, and another $495 for floor mats which cost $200 at most. The sales manager told me I had to hurry as three other people were looking at the same car. I stood up and walked away and they literally chased me to my car dropping the price and finally the sales manager held open my door and stopped me from leaving, telling me he thought I was very handsome and wanted to buy me a drink after I bought the car. I'm sorry, but talk about psycho behavior and blatant lies and complete disrespect for the customer. Google Keys and all you will find are complaints after complaints about their practices and bad behavior. I am amazed they stay in business. Go anywhere else, please!
Scam from start to finish
I've been to Keyes on various occasions when I was considering buying either a used or new car. Every time I've been there, they've been incredibly aggressive and never listened to what was important to me -- it was all about the sale. Case in point, I had test-driven a used Corolla, liked it, and signed out the car to drive the half mile to my mechanic. Prior to leaving the lot, the Sales Mgr went on and on about how much they care about every car and that every used car is thoroughly maintained before it is available to customers. As soon as I arrived at my mechanic, the battery died. 'Nuff said. However, I really like the Service Dept., and have only had good experiences with them.
Dynamite Sales Staff
Called in for a FRS and they happened to get two in, and man, did I buy it fast. As soon as I pulled out of the lot for the test drive, I knew this was the car for me. It was punchy, fast, and a smooth ride. I traded in my Nissan Z. My only conplaint was the color, I got it in blue, knowing the possibility of me repainting it down the road.
Writing this from inside the dealership
I live out of state, and am visiting my family for the next two months, since I no longer have free service with my dealership, which means no reason to wait until I get back, I figured I would get my car serviced while I was here. I've been waiting in the customer waiting area, and was just informed that my car is just getting washed right now, meaning it was ready an hour before they told me. I got some reading done, got some free coffee, got my car serviced, and I couldn't complain
Keyes actually tried the bait and switch on me!!!
My experience with Keyes was a disaster. We walked in ready to by a car on my birthday after many months of research and haggling at 3 previous Toyota dealers. We spent our time haggling with Hugo and Alfred for a few hours constantly remaining at our budgeted price which was more than fair. When they finally couldn't meet our price by not coming down a mere $500, we decided that we had come to loggerheads and we left. As we walked away, Hugo came running after us and said he would meet our price and we asked if it was on the car we wanted. He said he would double check. We waited in our car and he came back and said he would come in at the 23500 which was there offer that we walked out on. However, it would be on a car we saw that came with leather and was out of our range to begin with. We were very happy to hear this and jumped at the deal. We headed in, check ready to write and sat down for a few minutes while Alfred went to retrieve the paperwork. Two minutes later Alfred returns and says that car has been sold. However, he would get us into the car we were walking out on in the first place for 23,225 or something...WTF!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! HOW OLD SCHOOL!!! AND SO LATE IN THE DEAL?!?!? We got up immediately and I told Alfred when he was ready to actually sell me something, he could call me. As we walked out of the showroom to our car, the overweight night manager came after us. We saw our advantage and ran to our car and started it up as he was knocking on our window. We ignored him and left. I don't get it. These sales guys forget they are there to facilitate and most of the time they got lost in the antics that everyone is so tired of in the auto racket. Someone should open a dealership that follows CarMax or even JCPenny's new model. They might find out that it is more profitable to save everyone's time and make deals rather than play con games. Keyes on Van Nuys is the worst dealership ever! They might have a catchy jingle for their ads, but they should have spent that money on a better sales team.
Toyota Corolla 2012
I was very careful with this dealer. The reputation of Keyes in the San Fernando valley is extremely poor. I saw an add in the newspaper and follow-up with the dealer. Frankly, I thought it was a come-on. . . that there would be hidden costs, false advertising, etc. I called, and of course, I was told the car could be sold by the time I arrived at the dealership. Well, the next morning, I arrived 5 minutes after they opened. The car I wanted was still there at the PRICE listed. I bought it immediately. I was very surprised with the dealership. I have to say that I approached the dealership with a chip on my shoulder because of the low reputation this dealership has. But I was pleasantly surprised. It pays, tho, to be well prepared before arriving at any dealership. Know the prices of the auto and negotiate from strength. The sales person was very surprised that I was going to buy the car so soon; but I had done a lot of work prior to arriving at the dealer. Good luck in your purchasing.
Richard Chan is the Man!
I don't have the best credit and I was originally just window shopping for a car. I emailed the online services and got a quickly, enthusiastic reply from a Richard Chan. We made an appointment for a test drive. After taking a little Toyota Accent 3-dr for a spin, I wanted it. Richard was personable, offered us bottled water and a cookie. Really great guy. We haggled and came to a payment agreement I could afford and I've had my little baby for about ten months now and I love it. Thank you, Keyes for having a good selection, and thank you to Richard Chan for your amazing friendly service. You're the man!
Poor Selection and Condition plus Cold and Arrogant Service
We were greeted promptly by salesman Basil who showed us the poor selection of Corollas on the lot. None were Certified and all were former rental cars. They were beat to hell and overpriced, one even had acid leaking all over out of the battery. Guess they don't get inspected or serviced before sale. Basil was nice but couldn't answer any real questions about cars. He called over the sales manager Reza who was nice but when it came to answer questions about the cars, discussing price, or even condition of vehicle, Reza was kinda cold and arrogant. They seemed to have the attitude of Toyota's sell themselves and we should just buy one without knowing anything about the car at dealer asking price. He told us Certification just jacks up the price and isn't necessary. Based on the poor condition of the vehicles, I doubt they'd pass certification. Went to another Toyota dealer and had a much better experience. They answered all our questions and seemed to care about us having confidence in condition of that particular used car we were buying. A used car is still a used car, Toyota or not.
Worst Dealership ever-they lost my drivers licence
First of all, they keep you waiting for longest time ever. Secondly, they make 2-3 salesman to come and talk to you. Third, they act arrogant, they have attitudes. Hameed is nice there.I think he is the only nice salesman there. The manager Dean is AWFUL, very rude guy. I was trying to get a deal and one of the salesman came over and started talking to me, when I started looking at the final cost on the vehicle, he tried to stop me from calculating final price, when I said- why shouln't I look at the final price, its the money I will pay!, he responded rudely by saying - well, its not my fault you are financing the car!..... I was so pissed off, I walked out of the dealership, then I realized that they had my debit card and drivers licence with them. After 5 mnts, when I walked back in to ask for it, they gave me my debit card, but LOST MY DRIVERS LICENCE. When I tried to ask where it is, the manager Dean was rude to me by saying- I dont know where her licence is, I cannot make is appear here! NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP......NEITHER AM I GOING TO THIS DEALERSHIP, NOR ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY.
Great leasing experience
I helped my grandmother lease a 2010 Toyota Corolla. She found a deal in a newspaper ad at [a dealership] in Valencia for an cheap lease on a 2010 Corolla. Since she lives in Camarillo, I called [another dealership] to discuss this deal with them. It is [other dealership] policy to match other Toyota dealer promotions. The internet manager confirmed that they would match it. The day we were going to make the deal in Oxnard, the internet manager called me to let me know that they would not be able to match it because "some numbers changed in the past few days." I called 5 dealers in the area to get there best lease deal and Keyes Toyota had it. They were extremely friendly and patient with all of the questions and concerns that a grandmother has for leasing a vehicle for the first time in her life. The internet manager, finance manager and sales team were all very helpful and made my grandmother feel extremely comfortable with her Corolla lease. I would highly recommend giving Keyes Toyota a shot at your business.
Run...Run...The other way.....
I recently visited this dealership in search of a new Highlander. The sales rep. told me that the price on the car is exactly what is printed on the "window sticker" and that he can't negotiate any other price because the paper is printed in Japan! Give me a break...I basically told him he needs to go back to Sales 101 and learn that the MSRP is not written in stone. I'm amazed this dealership is still in business.
Keyes: That [violative content deleted]
I came to Keyes after seeing a very cheap yaris s sedan in the autotrader. The car had the manual transmission and manual seats and windows that I wanted (probably why it was cheap). I noticed that the car had been in a minor accident as there was some superficial damage to the license plate holder and front bumper cover. The salesman, of course, never pointed this out. A few weeks later (when I had the front bumper cover repainted/repaired) the service tech noticed that some of the bumper trim parts were missing. I called the sales department who referred me to the parts department who referred me to sales.. and so on. I left message after message (one every three days) for the better part of a month before I was able to make an appointment (the only one they said they had available was in the middle of the day. So after getting time off of work, I waited two full hours before the service tech informed me (rudely) that it would not be covered [violative content deleted]. Even if this were true they should have told me this over the phone. At this point I wasn't willing to dedicate any more time to this problem and bought the parts myself (luckily Toyota parts are cheap and were purchased at a competing dealership). Needless to say, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone nor would I have my car serviced by them.
