AWFUL-THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY THEY CAN GET

[THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY THEY CAN GET AND NOTHING ELSE. BE SURE NOT TO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEM BECAUSE YOU'LL NEVER GET A RESPONSE IF IT'S NOT RELATED TO THEIR MONEY] So last Saturday (06/03/2017) I purchased a car at Maita Toyota of Sacramento. I called one of the sales representative (Robert) the day before, telling him about the car I'm interested in, and we have scheduled a time to meet. I was late, by the time I arrived he was busy with another client. He told me somebody else would assist me, but I waited for almost half an hour and nobody came. Eventually I called him again, this time he asked Chay to help me out. I've already discussed with Robert about a specific used car, but he didn't say a word about the car to Chay. So a lot of time was wasted because Chay took me to look at the new cars at first, and later couldn't find the specific car I asked for. I waited under the sun the whole time. IF THEY KNEW I WAS COMING, THEY SHOULD HAVE PREPARED THE CAR KEY AND KNOWN WHERE THE CAR WAS PARKED. I rented a car to go to Sacramento and the rate was timed hourly, so I was quite unhappy with all the time wasted. After I decided to buy the car, I found out I had to return my rented car to Davis before 7 pm. But a finance representative insisted that I should sign the paperwork and pay the money right away (it was like 6:30 pm). He was very unfriendly, and didn't even try to understand my situation. I FELT LIKE ALL HE CARED WAS THE MONEY. HIS SERVICE WAS AWFUL. I signed every paperwork in a rush, and didn't even know what I was signing. (Like there was a lot of service fees that the sales didn't tell me beforehand, I only found this out when I was at home checking what I signed) And eventually, I was fined an expensive fee because I returned the car late. After I signed the check, I told the unfriendly guy that I just transferred my money from saving account to checking account, so it might take a few days to process. He said a firm "NO" to me right away, and insisted that the money has to be cashed on Monday. I understand the situation, but he should have said it in a more polite way. Of course I've prepared enough money in my account before buying it and I'll definitely pay, but his attitude was like HE JUST WANTED THE MONEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AND HE CARED NOTHING ELSE. I HATE THIS. I have been searching for cars for a while, and their service is the worst comparing to other companies. I've sent the above issues to the service department, but apparently they said it's the business of sales department, and they forwarded the email for me, but I never got a response. So they are fairly quick about the sales and finance department (because that's how they earn money), but when it comes to customer service, you're not gonna hear back from them forever. So be sure not to have an issue with them, because the customer service is useless.

Bad Brakes - Don't stop here for service

I leased a vehicle from this place and for the first six weeks I took it back for the bad brakes and annoying squeak. Every time I took it in they said they took it for a test ride and could not duplicate the issue. After the fourth time they told me to bring it back when it was squeaking and they would have the shop foreman ride with me. Sooooo, I did and they said there was no one to ride with me at the time I brought it back (11am). The fifth time I took it back I had a service advisor ride with me while the brakes were squeaking and he documented the issue for the shop and they still did not fix the brakes because by the time they got to the vehicle the brakes had cooled off and they could not duplicate the issue. So one last time I took the car in to get the brakes fixed while squeaking and the shop foreman said the vehicle brakes met specifications and I could take it to a third party shop for an inspection. I took the car to Econo Lube on Arden and Fulton that day and the rear pads were worn down to the sensor. It took the great guys at Econo Lube ten minutes or less to figure out what the shop technicians and shop foreman at Maita Toyota could not figure out in six weeks. To top this off, I drive the car for one full day of work (Monday 5/23/16) in the bay area and the car breaks down on the bridge. The car would not move and lost power near Treasure Island. Once again I got off the bridge and called Maita Toyota. I spoke to the salesman and the shop foreman who was very concerned about the car only. The shop foreman was seemed more sad that the vehicle was abandoned on the bridge after asking me if I was with the vehicle still on the bridge. The vehicle gets towed off the bridge and is in a tow yard in Oakland, CA. I live in Sacramento so I need a ride home. It is Thursday and Maita Toyota still provides the same crappy half star customer service. I talked to the sales manager on Monday and he is trying to figure out if the leasing company or the company the car is leased for will pay for the tow and storage. This whole fiasco cost me a lot of loss wages being unable to drive the car with the known issue because it was leased for rideshare however the lease payment is still due. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Impressive service

I had not purchased a new vehicle in 15 years, Wow how the experience has changed. I got no high pressure, no constant calls, No run around, just good solid customer service. Jonny Del La Cruz was great. Answered all my questions, got me a fair deal on my trade-in, and went through all of the new features of my new truck in great detail. This experience was what I always wished car buying could be. Relaxed and enjoyable. Go see Jonny and see what a difference it makes. The overall Maita experience has been great so far. Signed satisfied and surprised.

Pleasant buying experience

I went to the dealer with an offer obtained through Edmunds. The car was in stock and available. Absolutely no pressure from salesman Dustin Clark. After family discussion, we called Dustin and asked him to get the car ready. The paperwork was assembled and signed and we were out in less than an hour. Again, no pressure to buy expensive add-ons or junk. One of the best car buying experiences I've ever had.

Jonny De La Cruz, our sales manager, extended a TrueCar price to us that we were going to drive to the Bay Area for...but he honored the price & made the trade in of our old Avalon a seamless process. We could not be more pleased with the service we received, the friendliness of everyone at the dealership, and the respect with which we were treated. Would highly recommend Jonny or anyone from the dealership!

Quality Used Car

Needed a quality, used car. Checked various dealerships on- line. Talked with Sophia Sayad, gave her our requirements, etc. Because of my work schedule, took about 10 days to actually get to the dealership. Spoke with both Sophia, and Mario in Finance. Options were discussed, some accepted, some declined, never pressured, either way. Drove off with the vehicle we originally wanted. Great experience, just the opposite of what we had planned for.

Great car, great price

I bought a new car today after using this dealership for my service for many years. I'm a first-time financer, and the salesmen I worked with were both very helpful in navigating the process. First of all, they had to custom order the car because the interior/exterior color combination I wanted is apparently not very common. When I was in today to purchase, they made sure I got the college graduate rebate that I had no idea even existed :) While I was waiting for the finance paperwork to go through, I ran into the service manager near the cafe, which is a great addition to the waiting lounge for someone who's hungry every 3 hours (me :) ). He asked if I was waiting for a service, and I told him I was buying a new car, but planned to bring it back to get serviced at this store, and he reminded me of the free services I get for 2 years. (I think that's something I'm getting because I'm financing through Toyota.) Moral of the story, the staff at Maita are the reason I keep coming back and will keep coming back. Thanks for my beautiful new Rav4!!

Loyal & Happy member for 17 yrs.

I have been a loyal customer for 17 yrs. The service adviser I have had is the main reason why I kept coming back but I have my favorites in other departments. Steve Maita is personable and available, unlike other dealerships. Management takes concerns seriously and they are easier to work with over other dealerships. Another local place in Roseville played games in the sales dept and I have never had this issue at Maita. I have been a part of buying a car directly for myself and family members for new/ used so this says a lot considering customer service is highly valuable to me.

Enjoyed a great experience at Miata!

I brought my wife's Prius in because a "maintenance light" came on. I was greeted by their staff when I pulled up. I was helped by Marlon at the front desk who did an amazing job explaining their process. I received an oil change, new air filter and windshield wipers for a decent price. While waiting there's plenty of seating, cafe for food and drinks so I wasn't bored. My wife bought her Prius there and we bought a 4Runner there. Both times we had a great experience. Plus I had a warranty issue with her Prius that was handled without issue. After reading some other reviews it seems like a few of people on Yelp are being dramatic.

I must begin with caveats because I'm not an unrealistic, absurdly deficient human being incapable of understanding time and place. I make mention to immediately discount the reviews of people complaining about lengthy service times when they chose to service their car without considering 50 vehicles in front of them. Digressing let me explain why you should take your car to Maita Toyota of Sacramento and why I'm not paid or related to anyone livng within 20 miles of that delaership. Two words: Marlon N. The guy just pours his heart into his job and works tirelessly to provide exceptional customer service. Beyond just his service abilities he truly knows his job technically and the jobs of all the people intersecting with the work done on a given vehicle. Additionally he's blessed with the gifts of patience and explanation providing his customers with the luxury of truly understanding the service needs, the prospective solutions, and the costs applied. Simply put find Marlon when you need you car repaired. For the good folks at Maita (and they runa really quality shop overall), you're blessed to have dedicated employees like Marlon and given we could take our vehicles (and our referrals) anywhere, we only stay dedicated as loyal as we are because of Marlon.

Earlier this year John M. helped me with a lease on a new Rav4. This was my first time driving a Toyota and I was so happy with it and with John's service that I came back to Maita a month later to buy a Toyota Tacoma for my husband. Horrible Experience

I just had a HORRIBLE experience with your Maita Toyota Dealer. While the salesman was trying to help, the issue is with the GSM Dave K. He's not only a horrible GSM, but also a horrible person. His listening skills are next to nothing and he will start attacking your intelligence by having complete disregard for anything you have to say. In conversation, he never once looked up from his paperwork to speak to us and treated me as if I didn't even exist. When I politely asked if he could look at me while speaking, he looked up, pointed, and firmly said, "YOU, look at me." I walked out after. As the salesman was walking out with me, assessing the situation (and apologizing), Dave K. walked out, half heartedly apologized, then started pointing fingers and started the argument AGAIN. Some of his incredibly rude statements: 1. Put yourself in my shoes. Do you know how many people I have had to deal with today? 2. I don't have to sell you a car and I don't want to sell you the car. 3. I actually would be happier if you left, but I want this girl to be happy and leave with the car. You, might not be happy. But her, she will be. Is she worth it? REALLY? That's your job, Mr. K. If you don't want to deal with people, I guess you can line up in the unemployment line. If you don't want to sell cars, I guess Toyota should rethink having you as a GENERAL SALES MANAGER because they need to sell cars, that's what they do!

I didn't buy a Toyota here because the offer is way below other dealers. Also I notice that the cars at their lot have no new car price stickers on the window. When I bought the car at the other dealer, I need to sign and agree the dealer to remove the sticker for me.
