2016 Toyota Corolla S

Originally we went to purchase Mazda 3 touring i hatchback. Signed all the papers and went to leave only to find out the A/C was not working. We immediately asked to reverse the sale as we were now not comfortable with the car. We were never offered 72 hour return insurance of which we would have purchased and in this case would have used to return the car. They did repair the car, (hole in the A/C condenser), but after more research it came to light that this was a recurring problem with Mazdas due to the design of the grill which made it likely to happen again. They did do everything to try and find a replacement, but with our budget and what was available made it very difficult. It became clear they were not going to reverse the sale and we felt our only choice was to find anything that might work. We ended up with a 2016 Corolla S coupe, which we really wanted a hatchback and had to pay an additional $900 to save the deal. The Corolla is a nice car, but it is too big for our garage, we had to pay more than we wanted and the gas mileage is dismal compared to the Mazda or our previous Toyota Prius. So, the dealer was very professional, clean, and tried to accommodate, but I felt pushed to a car that really was not what we were looking for. Unfortunately, I've tried to roll with it but have been ruminating ever since the purchase hence this not so positive review.

Great all around selection, service, and knowledge staff

I visited this dealership a number of times before purchasing just to be sure it was the right purchase. I was always greeted with a friendly sales person and a knowledgeable staff. Great selection of new and used vehicles including the hard to find 2020 Lexus GS350 F Sport. Thank you for have an excellent well run dealership with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Worst online quote experience

Worst experience I could ever imagine. I made an ES 350 up-front price inquire on edmunds.com and Lexus of Pleasanton is not willing to give me a quote - that's totally fine, I'm just going to ignore them and work with other dealers. However, I kept getting emails & calls from them, where the latest one is on a Saturday morning. Fine, I will pick up the phone and see what they can offer. The call is from Sylvia and she kept trying to fool me with statements like "There is only one car matches your query and it's selling quickly", "Visit our dealership and we can offer you UP TO 6k discount". I know what would happen after I entered their door, so I insist on getting an up-front quote first. She then forwarded me to the manager (John I believe) and guess what he responded? ``` "We are not going to give you the quote so you can take it to Stevens Creek to get them beat the price. We are not going to do the shopping for you." ``` WTFFFFF???!!!! Is this how you do business? Do you always insult your customer when he asks for an out-of-door quote? Listen, this is free market business but not something like I'm begging you to sell a car. It's perfectly reasonable that you want to sell for a higher price and I want to spent less $$. However, please don't spamming calls if you don't want to do the business, otherwise please give your sincerity when you are calling someone 5 times and he has no choice but to pick up the phone.

Great Buying Experience!

I recently purchased my Lexus NX200T from Jeff Lao, and he made my buying experience stress-free. He was very professional throughout the whole process and answered all my questions and concerns. By the time I finished signing the papers, he had the car washed and prepared for me to drive off. Couple of days after, he followed up with a call to make sure everything was running smoothly, which I appreciated. You can tell he really takes good care of his customers. If you are looking to buy a Lexus, I would definitely recommend Jeff!

Badly managed sale of a used Nissan Leaf

I selected Lexus of Pleasanton as a trusted dealer based on brand and favorable reviews on Edmunds.com The vehicle I purchased had been serviced and had new tires. However in spite of calling to express my interest in the vehicle the day before I drove 80 miles to Pleasanton, the vehicle, an all electric Nissan Leaf had not been charged. In fact I called at 9 AM on the day of purchase and left a phone message requested it be charged. I called again at 11 AM and spoke to a representative of the dealership and requested to have the vehicle charged. When I arrived at the dealership at 12:30, I met my salesman and requested to have the vehicle charged. At that point the battery was fully depleted and a different Nissan Leaf was on trickle charge. The vehicle I eventually purchased was taken to a quick charge station off site, but was returned without having been charged, not once but twice. At 5:30 PM after signing purchase documents, the vehicle was still not charged, at all. I went with the salesman to the quick charge station in the dark. I was then told I had to return to the dealership to sign a new, revised set of purchase documents because the sales agent had omitted the free 6 month warranty from the documents. The vehicle was then taken for a final detailing that delayed my departure by another 45 minutes. It then turned out that the new tires were underinflated and I had to wait while the salesman struggled to properly inflate them. I asked for assistance to identify a fast charging waypoint on my route home, beyond the range of the Leaf's battery. I later learned that the charging station was a trickle charge station and I ended up lost on the streets of Richmond searching for a fast charge station. Fortunately a Nissan dealership in the Richmond area that was closing helped me obtain a quick charge and I made it home about 11 PM. The entire purchase experience was badly managed by Lexus of Pleasanton.

Excellent experience purchasing an SUV

We have had a wonderful experience with Lexus of Pleasanton (LoP). Our first contacts were through the internet, which was our means of beginning a search for a new SUV. We were working with Truecar and the team at LoP responded immediately to our query. From the moment of our first introduction to John and then Zabi, we had confidence that we would be able to work well with the sales team. Zabi certainly went out of his way to ensure that we were accorded every opportunity to find the right vehicle for our needs and through a very smooth negotiation process, we arrived at a price which we felt reflected the value of the new RX450h. Further work with Douglas concluded our purchase and the car was prepared with new features (tow bar, etc) and was ready for us reasonably quickly. Joyce offered a superb overview of the systems and functionality of the SUV today and we are grateful for that lesson. Overall, this has been a delightful experience and is by far the easiest and most professional auto purchase I have ever made. It has been a pleasure to have worked with the team at Lexus of Pleasanton in acquiring a great vehicle. We thank you all for your courtesy, sense of fairness, patience and genuine interest in our needs. Andrew C. and Lexus of Pleasanton were extremely friendly, professional, thoroughly knowledgeable, provided detailed information regarding the IS250, gave more than sufficient and detailed information concerning leasing options and made the whole process the most enjoyable one in leasing and/or purchasing a vehicle that we have ever experienced. From the initial contact with Andrew weeks prior to leasing the vehicle and throughout the entire process not once did my wife and I feel pressured in any fashion to make a decision that we would be uncomfortable with. Proud RX 400h owner I was pleased with the buying experience that I had at Pleasanton Lexus. We typically buy a car every five years or so; the whole process can be so aggravating. Our last car was a BMW and I will never own one again. After adding up all the repair costs on our 5 series, my husband and I could have bought matching Rolex watches... We started by selling our car first to stop the bleeding. Our car sold within 5 days on craigslist.com. If you need to sell a car that is a great resourse. We went into the dealership after some research on Edmunds and we knew what we wanted. All things being said the salesperson we worked with was great and very informative. He was not pompous or rude as you might think (car sales people). My husband and I worked with sterling anderson and we would recommend him in the future. We were at the dealership for just under 2 hours. Pleasanton Lexus had the car we wanted and at a price that was fair for everyone. We understood that there is a high demand for the car and after driving it for a month we know why. My husband will need to get one for himself. cho
