Vince Eible was a wonderful salesman. He was able to complete the whole deal with out having to go back and forth between us and the manager. He made everything seem simple in buying a car. I spoke with Joe Gill and was handled expertly. He knew the truck. What I wanted and what the needs were for me after I explained what it is I do. I talked with another dealership and just got the run around and they talked bad about Selman. I trusted Joe more. I sat down and made the deal. The finance department was supurb as well. Very clear. The whole show or no show. Well Selman is the whole show.

First off entering a dealer you expect pushy salesman. Not here these were great individuals who helped answer all my questions and assisted me in finding the truck I was looking for. Mike the fleet manager was the best person to deal with and will buy my future Chevys from him personally as my sales person! DO NOT GO! WORST WORK AND MANAGEMENT EVER!

I bought a new 2011 Camaro 2SS from Selman. It had major and minor scratches all over the car. Walter, the General Sales Manager, took responsibility and said the paint would be fixed. I dropped it off April 1st and I did not see it again until they dropped it off to me April 30th. They had it for 30 days because they kept on telling me that there had been mistakes so they had to do it over. When they finally dropped it off to me, the paint was worse than what it was when I gave it to them. It had clear coat drip, paint scraped off the edge of the hood, no clear coat around the antenna from where they taped it off and a huge 2 foot long scratch down the rear bumper. Those are the major issues, there are a lot of "fish eyes" and specs in the paint. I had the new problems verified by a professional detailer and by the body shop at Bunnin GMC in Oxnard. I had Bunnin call Walter at Selman to let him know all the mistakes and extra damage they had done. Walter said too bad, that he wants nothing to do with the car and I have to pay for the repairs somewhere else on my own. I can't believe any company would do this, especially a major dealership. NOBODY SHOULD EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP, ESPECIALLY THE BODY SHOP!

Great Overall Experience

Was interested in the 24 month lease and contacted several local dealers. One dealer played dumb while another low-balled on the trade in. The internet sales manager Vince Eible from Selman was upfront about the lease offer as well as my trade in even before we set foot into the dealership. Very down to earth and straightforward about pricing and even credit requirements as to avoid any surprises. Very relaxed and enjoyable transaction as far as car buying goes. I would have given 5 stars, but no car buying experience can ever be perfect.

Run Away!! This is the worst Car Dealer Ever!

Well...where shall I begin..I want to WARN anyone who enters this dealership!!!! It started with me calling around looking for a suburban for my family. I wanted a certain color and style like most people. I got ahold of a salesman by he name of vice that was SUPER pleasant. He did not have what I was looking for but let me know that he was going to call if something came up. I got a call from him yesterday saying he got the car we wanted in. We talked about price and he checked with his manager and we worked out a deal right over the phone. It was very simple because it was one of the last 2010 models and it was a demo and they just "needed to get rid of it". Perfect for me. I told him I wanted my payment to be an even 700.00 so he gave me the exact amount what I needed to put down on the vehicle, so I made the check out and had everything ready when we headed to the dealer when my husband got off work. We got down there and the car was out looking nice and my husband and two sons were super excited to take their new car home!! That's when the super pleasant experience STOPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once we walked inside everything changed......Somehow when I spoke to Vince 8 times that day he FORGOT to add in TAX AND License which is about $5000.00. I asked him every time I spoke to him on the phone if this was the "OUT THE DOOR PRICE" and every time he answered "YES". I even at one point had him on speaker with my husband and my husband asked him the same thing and he said yes. There was no "miss understanding" it was an error. He told me my payment was going to be 783.00 and he would have NEVER told me it would be 700.00. If you made a mistake, just say it, don't try to make me out to be a complete idiot. I told him if he wasn't going to give us the deal he gave me all day on the phone we were going to leave and not waste any more time. So we left. My husband being the nice man that he is, started thinking in the car..maybe it was just a mistake. I am going to call him and see if there is anyway we can meet somewhere in the middle so we can get the car our boys have their heart set on. SO he called back and calmly told Vince that we understood there was a mistake and how we can work it out...in the middle of his call to our sales men Vince, a man grabbed the phone out of Vince's hand and said "WE ARE DONE HERE, WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SELLING YOU A CAR" my husband at that point was back in front of the dealership so he just walked in to talk to them. I followed of course..My husband tried to explain what had happened and why we left upset, the price changed a lot!! We were not sure if they were scamming us or just an honest mistake. The manager LEW HAMILTON, REFUSED TO SELL US THE CAR. HE TOLD US THAT HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN OUR BUSINESS. HE EXPLAINED TO US THAT HE FELT THAT WE WERE ALREADY "UPSET" ABOUT THE PRICE CHANGE AND THAT IF HE WERE TO SELL US A CAR WE WOULD GIVE HIM A BAD SURVEY AT THE END. HE EXPLAINED TO US THAT THOSE SURVEYS MEAN EVERYTHING TO THEM AND HE JUST COULD NOT SELL A CAR AND TAKE THE CHANCE THAT WE MAY FILL OUT A BAD SURVEY. My husband was like...ARE you kidding me? He said no, you need to leave. My husband said " I want to buy the car at the price you gave me even with the added tax. LEW HAMILTON LOOKED AT MY HUSBAND, GOT UP IN HIS FACE, AND SAID "THIS CAR IS NO LONGER FOR SALE" We left so upset..Our little boys had big tears, my husband was bummed. Vince the sales guy called once we left and told us that he feels like [violative content deleted] and this just wasn't right...we asked him to have his GENERAL MANAGER call us today....well my husband just got off the phone with WALTER MOTLEY the GENERAL MANAGER of SELMAN CHEVROLET and he refused to sell us the car!!!!!!!!!!! This one of the most crazy things I have seen!!!!He explained to my husband that LEW HAMILTON is the SON IN LAW of the OWNER OF SELMAN CHEVROLET. We are moving on and going to go to another dealership, but if I can just stop on

Received awful service

Took my car in for the following: Hydraulic Clutch issues Check engine light Bad Fuel Sending Unit. Pretty sure they didn't look at my clutch issue, because they immediately said that I was missing a pressure plate and that I would need a new one with a clutch. First of all, you can't drive with a pressure plate, and second my pressure plate and clutch is only 3 months old. I told them that my hydraulic clutch just need bleeding. Anyways, it would cost me $1200 for labor/parts for the new stuff...so i turned them down. Engine light said I had low voltage...so I replaced the battery myself. Hopefully, that was the real issue...will find out in 60 miles for the computer to reset completely. I knew the fuel sending unit was bad, because even with a full tank, sometimes it would read empty or 1/4 or 1/2 full. They agreed and replaced it. After picking up the car, my car died 2-blocks away from the dealership, come to find out that there's no gas in the car (basically it was worst that running on fumes). Mind you, i took it in with full tank, because I wanted to show them that it is full and it was reading empty. Called the service guy for help and he stated, that we always put in what was taken out, apparently i drove it in there with no gas. So he put me on hold and next thing you know I was disconnected. Called their hotline again and was directed to their service manager, which suprisingly didn't picked up. Left him a voice mail about my disappointment and told him that it wasn't right and that I know my complain will probably not even be considered. This was my first and last visit to Selman Chevrolet, Orange, CA....will be going back to my original dealer (which is farther) in Cerritos, CA At this point, I don't want to spend anymore time and energy with this, because I am very disappointed with their service, I think they should have gone through the extra mile. I think the reason they don't go the extra mile is because my car is 10 years old (it's a 2000 Z28 Camaro).
