WORST DEALERSHIP FROM ALL TOYOTA DEALERS!!!!

by Gilbert on 09/04/2017

I was sold a damaged truck and was lied to just to make the sale. I was lied to again being told it was never in a collision but I found out it was in 2 collision and they have documentation stating it was in a collision. They replaced my windshield that cracked within a week and was not properly installed. And when I brought up all these problems to management they avoided me they kept lying. All they care about is getting your money

Outstanding Service

by kyliembakalyar on 01/10/2017

Super glad that I brought my car to this Toyota service department. Erick Morales was my service advisor and he was beyond professional. He helped get my car fixed quickly even without an appointment. He also managed to get me in for a Saturday appointment, for a different service, when a different location couldn't. He was very helpful and listened to my concerns. I will definitely be bringing my car back to Norwalk Toyota!

Faulty Oil Change with Norwalk Toyota

by toyofanll1 on 12/17/2016

I took my 1993 Toyota T100 for a standard oil change to Norwalk Toyota trusting that the Toyota dealership team would do the best job compared to other oil change places. I was wrong! The day after I had the oil changed on my perfectly good working T100, I noticed about 1.5-2 liters of oil spilled underneath the truck and on my driveway. I went underneath the truck to carefully evaluate the problem and noticed oil everywhere, including oil dripping from the drain plug. I proceeded to wipe off the oil from the bottom of the engine using a rag and when I touched the drain plug the plug turned with little to no effort; that's when I realized the Toyota dealership technicians/mechanics did a poor job and never tightened the drain plug. I was fortunate enough to notice the spilled oil on time before driving many miles and causing the engine to cease and cause a much, much more expensive engine repair job. I've contacted their customer service people about this issue and still haven't heard back in 24-hours.

pushy and misleading sales manager

by dgalean on 07/03/2016

My experience with Hugo Gonzalez was very unsatisfactory. We were there last Thursday 6/30/16. He presented us with a sales plan in which he included ancillary insurance. I asked him why the sale price that we agreed upon was different from the amount financed. He refused to admit to his doing and kept evading me about the topic, he finally admitted that this was voluntary insurance. By this time it was to late and we had to go. Went back today 7/3/16, before going over we spoke to him and agreed on the same terms, 30 minuted after our arrival he again changed the terms. I was irate and asked if he felt i was a stupid person, i advised that he was wasting my time and his. Mr. Gonzalez turned and said he was offended and would not sell us a car. there are plenty of other dealers in the area, but if you end up here be advised that Mr. Gonzalez is pushy and sneaky,

Experience I had with them for the fixing and major maintenance

by joseph888 on 02/15/2016

Brought our Camry to this place at 8 AM because the Check Engine light was on and a major maintenance was also needed. When we arrived, the service counselor told us that the checking with the major maintenance would take about 4 to 5 hours, so we went home, waiting for their call. Around 10 AM, I received their call telling us the reason the Check Engine light was on and what was needed to be fixed. I asked the counselor to text me the details of what she just mentioned. She said she would, but I didn't get the text from her for another 30 minutes. So I called her, and this time I got the info via text message. I, then, call her back again and told her that they could start working on my Camry to have those parts fixed and also performed the major maintenance. This counselor was polite and she said she would call me right away when the work is done. Around 4 PM, I got the call and text from them saying that the fixing and maintenance on my Camry was done and I could go pick up my car. I, then, texted her that I will be there at around 6 PM. At 5:55 PM, my wife and I arrived at their service office to pick up the car. The first counselor that served us in the morning was already off-work at 5 PM, so we were told to go to cashier to pay for the works done. Total amount was around $640.00, not much differed from what the first counselor has told us when she called us at 10 AM. However, the items listed on the invoice were confusing and were different from what the first counselor had told us. And when we showed the coupons to the cashier, the cashier, after verified with the other counselor, said that the discounts shown on the coupons have already been applied to our bill. So we just paid the bill. Now the FUN PART BEGINS... After the bill is paid, we asked for our car key. Cashier and the other counselor said that it was already in the car. When we walked to the car we found out that the car doors were NOT locked and the key with the remote was NOT in the car. We told them that the key and the remote were not there, then they started to look inside and around our car to see where the key and remote were. After that, all the desks, drawers, under the counters, ... have been looked and still not found. Now the repair technician joined and searched for our key and remote! They even searched the trash barrel, taking every trash out and checking every piece of trash to see whether our key was in there! (At that moment, I really did not know whether I would take the key and remote from them even if they did find the key there because the trash barrel was full of disgusting filthy trash!) And they even asked us whether we have already taken it, thinking we were playing tricks with them!! (They misplaced our car key and still dared to ask whether we have already taken it!) So we just stood there waiting, trying hard not to lose our temper, and wondering where our car key would be, hoping that our key and remote were not been stolen!! After 40 minutes of waiting and had no luck, I went to cashier and told her that we were tired of stood there waiting, so we would go to the waiting room. This was when my wife and I received the first "Sorry" from them (after 40 minutes)! I think they finally realized that we were badly treated. After 10 more minutes of waiting, the repair technician finally came to us with our car key, saying that it was misplaced with one of their technicians' car key, because our Camry has the same color, same looking, even the same dent on the truck cover with that technician's Camry. So that technician just took our car key and put it in his pocket, thinking that the key is for his Camry! So we left the Norwalk Toyota at 6:55 PM, exactly 1 hour after we arrived at their place for picking up the car. And it took almost a whole day to get the fixing and maintenance done. I am still trying to hold my temper and trying to play fair when I compose this review, that is why I give them 2 stars. The good attitude and the politeness of the first counselor is the other reason this review is not a 1-star one!

Very happy with sales service at Norwalk!

by lets_drive on 04/17/2015

We came in with our internet price and then Tracy Chin walked us through all the questions we had and other cars that were outside of what we selected online. After looking at added options, we discovered we could upgrade a car class from the LE to the XLE in purchasing for nearly the same price. Then came the challenging part. Tracy needed to find the color, class and specific options that we wanted and what we had our hearts set on despite the fact that there are very few AWD RAV4's in Southern California. Tracy ended up driving to Ontario to exchange a vehicle and pick-up our car. We were able to purchase the vehicle the same day and did not have to complete the purchase in the middle of the week when we are so busy. While buying a car can be a challenge, this dealership and internet pricing took out a lot of the frustration. I didn't want the extended warranty at this time and I was never pressured to purchase anything extra at Norwalk. Finally, we received very low financing from Toyota Credit and two years worth of free services. So far one week into driving the RAV4 and we are very happy. I will recommend this dealership in the future and take the 20+ mile drive to purchase from Norwalk Toyota.

Dealership will waste your time with the 4 Squares, Bad Trade-in Value

by jchang0107 on 06/21/2009

My wife and I were planning to purchase 2 new vehicles. One a Prius 2009 or 2010, and another larger vehicle for our starting family. The sales rep I dealt with was really nice, patient, charming, listened to our request. That's when the good part is over. Warnings about this dealership : - Be ready to be at the top of your game. For over 30 minutes, they were trying to play the shell game of the "Four squares" with us. We wanted to know just the standard information... How much is the car going to be? How much is the trade-in value of our car? That's it. But they kept running around with ... "How much can you afford per month?" and also kept low balling my trade-in value. I understand the economy isn't great right now... but to say my car is only worth 1/10th the value of Edmunds, and yet I would have to pay MSRP for a new car at Norwalk is ridiculous. - The upper management is who you really need to deal with. They do not give the sales reps ANY power whatsoever. A "General Manager" came over to supervise the deal... and tried to sweet talk my wife to thinking it's a great offer they are giving us. Guess what, we're a team, don't try and BS your way to a sale by talking to my wife and using emotional attachment as a sales tactic. When they finally asked what I thought was a "Fair" value for my car, and what "We" would like as an offer for the new car, the "General Manager" basically had no clue with the numbers thinking it was a done deal... "Ya ya, great, we can do this, this looks good."... goes over to the person behind the gate/office postion (Who is the REAL deal maker) and comes back to us and states that this isn't possible. Well no Duh, not when you're giving me 1/10th the value of a car. - Small dealership mentality. You wont get many deals here. They will try and push you to a "Used" car or a car you didn't want. You can go to several other larger dealers and get the EXACT car you are looking for. When you go to this dealership, remember these words.... this feels like a GM/Chevy dealership, and we all know how that turned out for the many GM/Chevy dealerships in California. One of the reasons I went to this dealership is because it was close to us. We gave them our time to make us a fair offer on a car. Obviously we care to own a Toyota car, otherwise I wouldn't have stopped by their dealership, or even write this review. I really hope Toyota does something about this dealership, as they are really giving the brand a bad name.

Norwalk Toyota Did "What it Takes"

by spoll8834 on 02/02/2008

I was treated great at Norwalk Toyota. They did "what it takes" as they say. Norwalk Toyota sold me the very same car I tried to buy at another dealership at $400 less and delivered it to me the same day. Very nice to me and my kids as well.

THESE SALES PEOPLE MESS WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE, ON THIS EVENING INCIDENT....

by rpereira1 on 12/28/2007

ON 12/28/2007 between 5:30pm & 6:00pm My mother in law and I went to the Toyota Dealer in Norwalk, to claim a sweepstakes ticket and the winning was nothing alike to what the ticket stated and after a complain with the person, they treads us so bad, they the sales people came to us and descriminated my mother in law calling her old lady, using bad words against her and my self I don't think that was professional for those sales people because they confront us like thieves and call me [violative content deleted] even they told me that they could kick my [violative content deleted] out of the dealer and as tomorrow I hiring a lawyer to file a complaint and sue the toyota norwalk if it is possible to teach a lesson to those sales people if they are really sales people because I don't think it is right to treat anybody specially a toyota customer like my mother in law because she owns 2 Toyotas and she even bougth her last one right there at the toyota of norwalk. If the dealer manager or owner gets to read this let me tell you I already contact the Federal Trade Commision and the Consumer Affairs Department and soon you will heard from our lawyer and see if these people learn the hard way. If you want to look in your records my mother in law is willing to go forward with this complaint. What a dealer people they FTC should control this places for the good of the consumers.........I would never recommend this dealer to anybody.

Will not sale advertized cars

by drumer on 08/01/2007

I test drove new 2007 Highlander hydred advertized in LA times at great price. I said I will buy it. They said I must use their financing, but ad did not say that. General Sales Manager told me they would not take my Pre-Approved credit union auto loan. He said if I wanted the car, I would have to give him cash money, or a personal check for full amount of car. I said goodby.
