Do not trust anyone at this dealership. Two sales people and a manager gave me the wrong information that is now going to cost me an additional $1,500. I went in to look at a Volt. After sitting in one, I decided I did not like it. The sales person, Jose, encouraged me to sit in a Bolt. I was never keen on buying an all-electric vehicle. I drive far for work and thought it would be too stressful to not have any gas to rely on. The sticker read 10 hour charge from empty on a 220v outlet. When I asked the salesperson how long to charge in 110V home outlet he answered 12 hours. I pointed out that the sticker said 10 hours on a 220V, was he sure it was 12 for an 110V? He said yes. That was definitely doable. I went back a couple days later to test drive the car. I had a new salesman this time, Bubba. When asked the same question, he reported 10 hours to charge from empty to full in an 110v outlet. I figured how can 2 salesman be wrong? Oh boy was I wrong. I fell in love with the car and purchased it. The next day, I was reading the owners manual and to my surprise saw that it takes 50 hours to charge in an 110v outlet. I called Rydell and spoke to the manager, Rick. Rick was quick to answer that his salesmen were correct, that it takes 10-12 hours to charge. When I read him the excerpt from the manual, he claimed that he never took the battery test but the salespeople had. He was going to research it and call me back. I know the Bolt is a new car, but the dealership should know these important details and be well trained before trying to sell to customers. Bubba didnt even know where the car was made. He told us it was made in Wisconsin really? Wisconsin plant has been closed since 2009. So, to be able to drive my car to work more than 2 days in a row I need to install a 32Amp car charger at home. The charger costs $600 and installation is $950. If I had known this, I may not have purchased the vehicle. I feel very much lied to and cheated. EVERYONE at the dealership should know the ins and outs about their product, especially a manger. I have put in a complaint to Chevrolet Care Experience Center. But, seems like they dont mind if their dealerships lie to customers. They commented that they dont get involved in these matters. So, what is a Care Experience Center there for? I am very disappointed in this car buying experience and will never buy a car from Rydell again.
Rydell is really straight up!
I shopped around very carefully before ending up at Rydell. I knew pretty much what all the other Chevy dealers would charge. What drew me in was an advertised price about $2000 lower than anyone else. MSRP minus $4500, a $500 discount from GM for being a new GM buyer, and another $1000 rebate for 5 year 1.9% financing. That is a total of $6000 off the $35,000 MSRP. Plus, although car pricing is a complicated business, they kept to this basic formula, although I added quite a few options, and also opted to take the 4 year 0% interest financing and lose the $1000 rebate. But there was no nonsense, no bait and switch. Raymond was a great salesman, very calm, professional, and patient to answer all my questions, even staying late. I recommend Raymond and Rydell without reservations!
Rockin deal on Silverado
I had shopped a dozen dealers in search of the perfect 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71 4wd Club Cab. I found that and perfect service at Rydell. Friendly, no hassle, no pressure. It was a pleasant experience. They did not belabor the situation and leave me hanging at the dealership for hours. The deal was fast and painless. Very straight forward. Rydell offers great up front deals and had by far the best price. My sales person, Brian, was outstanding. He patiently listened to my eccentric list of desires and expectations and then found the truck to make that perfect fit.
Overall Great Experience!
Everything went according to plan when I went to pick up my car. There was excellent customer service and friendly staff.
Vig is awesome
Vig was super accommodating to my wife and family and never once tried to change the lease prices we had agreed on. He let us test drive several vehicles separately as my kids were in tow and would have needed car seats. Do your homework before going in and call first to set up an appointment with Vig and you will get great service.
Raymond C. is a great sales representative. Initially, there was a problem with the car. Raymond was proactive and expedient in resolving the issue. He always kept in contact to inform and update us on any changes.
Professional and the EASIEST VOLT purchase ever
ALI was FANTASTIC...It was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. No bait and switch from the sales ad in the LA Times. He was extremely knowledgable, friendly and professional Gustavo in Finance and Rick P., Sales Manager were the BEST
Got a great deal on my 2014 Volt
I feel like I received a great deal from Rydell (Northridge, CA). Before we went there, we got a quote from another Chevy Dealer and Rydell beat it by more then $1000. The salesperson was pleasant, patient and appeared to work hard to get the best deal for us. One area of improvement: the salesperson couldn't get the "config" function to work (2014 Volt), so he just kind-of glossed over it. I ended up having to take my new car back to Rydell to get it fixed (which required me to take off a few hours from work). I was given a rental car by Rydell for the day, which was nice, but I would have preferred that someone look the known problem and fix it before I drove it off the lot the first time. The problem was fixed with something like a computer reboot. All-in-all, the deal and experience was very good, so I'm pleased.
I Love my new VOLT from Rydell
I have purchased many new cars in my life and I have never been treated so well with knowledge, patience, honesty and the truly caring ways that Eric B. handled the entire process. As one would expect going from a regular car to a VOLT there are hundreds of questions, Eric took care of each and every one to our amazement. I had come to Rydell already approved and planning to buy a Prius the next day. There was no pressure, but Eric shared the facts and he sealed the deal on my first visit. I am absolutely sending potential buyers your way. Thank you Eric and thank you Rydell!
This was the smoothest automobile purchase experience that I have ever been through. This is at least my 8th transaction. The financing department is exceptional the sales staff does what they say they are going to do. Thanks and I salute you.
Worst inventory on the planet.
When I bought my truck Rydell had only two to chose from and didn't even consider going online to send me elsewhere. I ended up with a extended cab truck when I have 2 kids and needed the comfort of a crew cab. I was told the truck was cozy enough for small kids. Pffft!!! Maybe if the kid's are cavemen. Five mins in the back of a extended cab is enough to make you never want another 5. Overall I'm happy with my truck but the dealer just isn't staying up to speed. I'll never buy from or refer Rydell to anyone. And the service area...Well if you dont speak spanish and are here in the usa good luck.
Rydell Sales & Service
Very pleasurable experience. Bought my first GM car here in 1994, a CK full size PU. When it was time to get a new car Rydell, Northridge was the only dealership I thought of going to. My salesman, Ali, was very kind, knowledgeable, attentive and answered all my questions. I bought a 2013 Sonic LT and Ali was able to answer all my questions about this car. All in all, one of the best experiences I had buying a new car. As a side note, there was a small scratch on passenger door. I took the car to Rydell on a Monday with no appointment and they took the car in right away and fixed scratch in 40 minutes. Now that's service!
Leased a 2013 Volt
Best car dealership experience ever. Terrific service and excellent pricing.
We had a very pleasant experience at Rydell. Adel H is a great salesman. My husband and I have never said that about a car salesman. He was very attentive and kept working to get us the best deal possible. Our whole experience was great. From Adel to the finance department. We were in and out of there in less than 3 hours! We love our vehicle and will buy from Rydell again in the future!
Fourteen Hours To Purchase a Car
If you told me that I was going to fly some 400 miles to purchase a car, I would have told you "Theres a Chevy Dealer Two Mles from my house, why would I do that?? Because it was the car we wanted and it waas at the price we wanted and it was worth every minute of the fourteen hours I spent on this dealer and this car. I saved at least $2000 buying at Rydell than I could have here i Sonoma County for te same car. Rydell had the car that I built on the Chevrolet build your Volt website. The dealer in Napa did not have the right color. The Dealer in Santa Rosa had a total of three Volts, he did not have the car we wanted. The dealer in Sonoma had a total of one volt, he obviously didn't have our car. Rydell Chevrolet had the exact car we wanted on the lot and ready to go. When I was first quoted the out the door price for the car, I fully expected that I would hear te other shoe drop and the price would change before I ever signed the contract. Somehow, somewhere the deal would change and I was looking and ready for it to flip on me.........it never did. The final price we were quoted the first time we talked was the out the door contract price, no muss no fuss no switcheroo, just drive your car home and enjoy the experience and the new Chevy Volt in the garage. They picked me up at Burbank Airport and brought me back to the dealership. Mark spent almost two hours showing me how to operate and program what I wanted into the Volt consle. He could have been selling another car to someone but he never seemed to be in a hirry to go, he showed me Everything from the front license plate bracket to the back bumper and everything in between. I finally said Mark, I have to go, I have a long drive this afternoon. As we were shaking hands, Mark told me that he had left the car plugged in all night so I could get every mile the batteries had in them. He had the car washed this morning and .......he filled the gas tank all the way up.....what, no car dealer does that these days. I will be going back down to southern California to purchase any car we ever buy from Rydell Chevrolet! Donald and Barbara Batbie
had a good experience
I had a good experience at this dealership. They explained tradeoffs between leasing and buying well and gave me a very competitive price.
feels ripped off
So I was trying to be so careful about buying a used car from a dealer and not [violative content deleted]. I know you buy a used car and its not going to be perfect but when you charge 14 thousand for one it should be almost perfect. It has 30 thousand miles on it. The first time I test drove it the front end had a wobble so the sales guy had the mechanic look at it and balance the front tires. The front tire pressure was also low. I went back and test drove it again. It was fine. The sales guy let me take it home and that's when i noticed the dents in the hood. I brought it back and pointed it out. The sales guy acted surprised and said he hadn't noticed the dents. Long story short I bought the car and the sales guy said look we will give you more money on the trade in to make up for the dented hood. I was like ok. Well after having it for a month, driving it in the rain and getting it dirty I now notice all the cover up on the front bumper cracking and exposing the nice big nics and scrapes on it. I wouldn't have minded it too much if I had paid 10 thousand for it but for 14 its an issue. I wish these car dealers weren't such dishonest people out to [violative content deleted] so they can get their stinking money. I am so sick of dealing with so many dishonest sellers out there and greedy [violative content deleted] I don't recommend this place to anyone and now I am afraid to take there for service because so many bad things have been written about their service department. Seriously Lawyers,Car Salesman and Jim Jones are all the same person. UPDATE: They gave me 1200 for my beat up 2001 Kia Sporage Convertible and are selling it for 5000. The reason I needed a new car was because the Kia' kept over heating, needed a new timing belt, water pump, most likely a raditor, stranded me on the freeway at 1am by dying in the fast lane, and most likely the engine was damaged due to timing belt not ever being changed out. So what I am saying buyer beware. I am so tired of car dealers ripping people off. I swear this is the last car I ever buy at a dealership.
