horrible buying experience. Amazed that these types of dealers still exist. Recently owner made contact with me. Wants to resolve my situation. I dont know if he is sincere or just responding to my negative reviews cause it looks good. We shall see. I will update results or just share my experience with this dealer.
Anaheim Mitsubishi - Beware of fine print charges and shady sales strategy
My wife and I had the worst experience of attempting to buy a car from this dealership. We researched the used cars available on Autolist.com, a website that pools new and used cars available in the market. This dealership had a Nissan Quest 3.5S with about 14K miles on it. The price we saw on Autolist.com from this dealership was competitive. This was a couple of weeks after memorial day weekend and price now was a thousand dollars more than what it was on Memorial Day weekend. So we called the dealership to enquire about the car. The car dealer offered to honor the Memorial Day weekend price if we would bring a copy of the price history, which is available on autolist.com. So we went into the dealership on Saturday evening. The person, who we had talked to and who had promised to stay back for us when we come in, left us with another salesman. The car salesman who we were with, right off the bat told us that it was not up to salesmen to honor the past pricing. It was managers decision. Problem 1: Salesman should not promise anything to customer that their manager couldnt agree to. If they do, they should honor it or it is unethical in my books. Then after few back and forth they agreed to honor the pricing as agreed on phone. Then they provided the Out of the Door price. That price included non-optional fees of $1,295 for express care for 3 year and 36,000 miles. Dont almost all the cars come with at least 3 year and 36,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty, why would you want express care? This was special charge is declared in a fine print, which most customers like myself dont read and I couldnt see it mentioned on Autolist.com Problem 2: It is a shady sales technique of reducing list price $1,295 on their website along with a fine print that says that they would add $1295 along with Tax, Title and License. Legally may be okay but ethically questionable in my books. After negotiation they reduced the Express Care charge by a few hundred dollars but I was not happy about it so I decided to wait until next day in order to talk to the sales person who I had originally talked to, in order to ask why he had failed to mentioned about this extra fine print fees on five different occasions we had talked over the phone. Next morning, I called and I got the answer there was nothing he could do about that. I gave up on the issue of Express Care fees and asked him for the final out of the door price. Initially, he was not ready to give me a final price but after much insistence he did which was a few dollars more that previous evenings price. I decided to go in and buy the car for that price. I was at the dealership 15 minutes after I got the final out of the door price over the phone. When the sales person brought me the quote, it was $700 more than the price he had mentioned over the phone. When I asked how come he had just given me a quote of xxx and now he was asking $700 more? He plainly said I didnt give you that xxx figure. Problem 3: How can you trust someone when they say one thing over the phone and then another thing on your face? I walked out. A few minutes later the salesman along with his manager came out to meet us. The manager said his salesman made a mistake in quoting you that number and he was sorry about it. But they wouldnt honor the price he had quoted me over the phone. After expressing our disappointment in their unprofessional and shady ways of bringing the customers in, we left.
Do not buy a used car from them.
Do not go here if you want to a used car. Maybe the new car experience is awesome, I wouldn't know and no longer care. Salesman was nice enough but after two hours of looking, talking, driving, discussing price,it all came down to him having the "manager", come on over to tell me everything the salesman told us was [non-permissible content removed] and that he would not budge from the asking price. all of it was in vain. He would not budge from the price and also added on 1250 to line his pockets. I've seen dozens and dozens of reviews talk about this 1250 add on price plus the the manager is demeaning.
Don't buy from them
Very disorganized dealer, changing number after finishing the deal, play games, Never go there, their cars loss more 40% of it value the minute you walk away from the dealer, and good luck if you are going to use their services, they will tell you will get free oil change first time and when you got there, they said sorry it's expired ( even before the service light turns on on the dash board) Very complicated buying process, they use a lot of pressure to make you buy the car. Many employees worked there for short time and leave ( no wonder why!!!!!)
You have to set an appointment to test drive a car
They did not respond to Edmunds email. That should have been my first clue. Call sells talked to them about the SUV/options/color. Sells text me back with numbers on "the car". Go to look at the SUV. I asked to drive the SUV " okay" sells comes back tells me " it will take 10 min to get it out" I say "okay I can wait." He tells me "Make a appointment to drive it" SAY what??? I leave and call to talk to manager. Get put on hold and hung up on 3 times. So I text and set a appointment for test drive with sells guy. Get there for test drive.... sells man busy... "talk to this guy... get this stock number out" Its the wrong car!! Ask for manger. The manger tried but did not get/care about it. " are you here to buy a car?" I say " yes .. all day have been trying to by one". We exchange some more pleasantries and I walk off AND bought it some where different!
Enjoyed Sales Consultant Anil Makadia (Neil Diamond). He seemed very informed about the Outlander and was friendly and personable. I was offered a good and fair price for my trade in. Also enjoyed working with Simon in Finance.
Worst Sales Experience EVER!!
Came here to purchase a car and was basically sales attacked by the manager. I asked for a specific sales rep and he sa id he wont be back till next week. I found out that was a lie. I decided on the car I needed. Negotiations on prices were changed and promised, but when it came down to signing the paperwork he switched back to originally msrp and changed price calculations to benefit himself. I never asked for addons and he kept putting them on and saying its part of the deal. He printed two copies and swapped out the deal I agreed to, to the one that he changed. I called the next day and let him know Im contacting corporate for the scam he pulled and got the rep I was suppose to meet the day before and was surprised, I let him know what happened. He felt betrayed by his manager and said hes done this before and called the owner immediately because the deal was so shady it cost the dealership and put a nice chunk in managers pocket.
The service manager made sure everything I wanted done was, told me that they had checked some other things. It took less time than I expected
Ameer Fadel and his manager are a real team, amazing service. I am very very pleased with their way of doing business. (I hope you acknowledge the way they provide great service) I went to a few other Mitsubishi dealers in the area and experienced poor service)
Service person explained to me what kind of service will be done on my car and how much it will cost and how long it will take. He seems knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and concerns about my car. The waiting room is clean and seems to keep me occupied while waiting. The staff are courteous and helpful. Most of all you saved me a trip and money for my carwash. Wasn't expecting my car to be cleaned after the service but thanks to you.
Our sales associate Ken was great. Very professional and courteous, spent time to get to know our little family and our needs for a new car. We had a trade in that was upside down and he assured they would figure something out. His personality was not so much pushy salesman, cocky, or rude which we have experienced there before. Rather, Ken was positive, professional, and friendly. Typically when salesmen see someone in flip flops a tank top and hat on, they don't think this person is buying, however when we meet Ken it must have been our 3rd trip to the location. Thanks Ken. We love the Outlander Sport. Also the finance guy Sam? Was very nice and friendly too. He had actually helped us before when we purchased our previous car there.
Service @ Anaheim Mitsubishi
Prompt service. It was a very short wait for the 2 times I brought in the car. The service contact was up-front with costs and estimates prior to the service, and was informative when the problem was found.
Anaheim Mitsubishi Hits the Target Again!
Mike was just awesome! He went over all details of my servicing, explaining what had been done & what will be done, as well as letting me know when my car was ready for pick-up, staying a little after 4pm so I could pick up my car. Allover a great experience!
Great People and Great Experience
Compared to Hardin Hyndai where we bought our other car 2 months ago the sales team (especially Maria) and the vehicle maintenance team were really nice, responsive and wanted to make sure i was happy - even AFTER I made the purchase. My only regret is that I purchased a car with Hardin Hyndai before making a purchase with Anaheim Mitsubishi. Any future purchases will definitely be made here!
Sales process is straight forward, sales people are very nice and knowledgeable. I have gotten 3 cars from them. I would give them a chance to earn my business next time before all others.
The service is quick and no nonsense. This is my sixth Mitsubishi purchased at Anaheim Mitsubishi. The friendly service and my knowledgable salesman (Anil) are why I always return.
Amazing...Couln't be more satisfied!
I can't say enough about my positive experience buying a pre-owned vehicle at this dealership. The sales staff were honest, fair and friendly, but also went above and beyond in their level of caring and personal attention to our needs. My sales person Andres Lopes, and his manager Hector Torres were amazing! I was driving a good distance to get there and I appreciated that the day before our appointment Andres sent me pictures and a video of a few incidental scratches on the car before we made the drive to Anaheim. These gentlemen and the finance manager Luis Alvarez worked with us to make the deal happen, and really listened to, and considered my position and boundaries regarding the finances. I know you might read a range of reviews in the car-sales business based on many factors...All i can say is these guys are 2 hours of heavy L.A. freeway traffic away from me, and I will go out of my way to deal with them the next time I need a vehicle. Thanks gentlemen!
Awesome Customer Service!
The service reps greeted us immediately upon arrival. they were thorough and honest. They toldu s the time until the repairs were done was 2.5 hrs...so they had someone take us to the mall. They were done within 1 hr of us being there . Then tgey calles me and picked us upp. They inspected our car ans told us of the minor problems that needed to be fixed. Great customer service.
Best car buying experience I've ever had!
Anil was very sweet and thorough. He worked very hard to get me into the car I wanted. I had a better experience here than any other dealership I have ever been to. Usually you don't feel like you matter but at Anaheim Mitsubishi I felt like they really did care about me and what I wanted.
Avoid this dealer!!!!!
So dishonest and manipulative! After agreeing to the price of the car and wasting tons of time, they sneak in "options" at the end that they tell you aren't really options because they are already installed in every car in the lot. It was the difference of 3,000. They do not present this information until the very last minute! I bought a new car with a 10 year warranty supposedly, but when I took it in for servicing I learned the warranty wasn't even in my name. It turns out they had reported a ficticious sale a month earlier under someone else's name to boost their sales numbers with the manufacturer. As far as Mitsubishi was concerned it was a used car in terms of the warranty. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra distance to a different Mitsubishi dealer. I wish I would have paid attention to all of the other negative reviews. Now I feel like a fool. Trust me, my review doesn't even touch upon all of the negatives of the experience!!! They are worse than you can imagine.
this dealer [non-permissible content removed]!!
We leave here in Rancho Santa Margarita and I was dealing with one of the ethernet manager(his name is Sam) and promised us they do have the 2013 OS ES 2WD with premium and exterior package @ $22,000. I called him at least two times to make sure that they have the car that we wanted. We(me/wife) know that the price is a little bit low but he insists that he can guarantied the price and the outlander sport is ready to be picked up. So we drove there from our place for 1.5 hours because of the traffic. To keep it short, THEY DON't HAVE THE OS THAT WE WANTED!!! We realized that they(this dealer) just want us to go there spent hours with them and tried to sell us different models and year(2012's). My wife was so upset because of the hours that we spent in the freeway for nothing just because of this dealer's unbusinesslike promises. PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING(EVEN USED) FROM THIS DEALER AND THEY TREATED US LIKE WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. THERE'S A LOT OF MITSUBISHI CAR DEALERS IN SOUTHERN CA.
