Sleezy would be the word for this Dealership

by Honest John on 06/04/2022

Do not shop here. Was quoted MSRP for a Toyota Tacoma that was arriving soon. I was told we would get top dollar for our trade, a 2019 Tacoma with only 9800 miles. Took time off from work and drove an hour to the dealership. When I arrived, I was told they don't sell the new cars for MSRP. It had a dealer markup of almost $6,000. Was told due to the car shortage, blah, blah blah. I informed them I was told MSRP on the phone and would not pay their markup. They finally agreed after some heated works where exchanged. They came out and appraised my truck and told me they would only give me $32,000? They said if I wanted MSRP on the new one they had to low ball me for the trade. I told them fine, I would sell my vehicle to someone else. CarMax had offered me $41,500. When I said that they then said the cost of the new vehicle would go back to MSRP + the $6,000 again. Sleazy In my book. The sales GM told me that his only priority is the profitability of the dealership. He did not care how the customer feels and a accused me of wasting their time. Never again will I do business with this dealership. When I asked for his bosses contact info, he said he worked directly for the owner and did not have it....what a crock.

Would not buy from them again

by JC Lima on 05/05/2021

Sales person was nice and I got the car I wanted but they use the typical high-pressure dealer practices from finance I hate. I have bought over 20 new cars in my lifetime and this was one of the worst experiences. They play the back and forth and will give you additional discounts but will sneak in fees on the back end without going over it. Finance will move fast so you can sign on the dotted line and get you out. I have called back with questions multiple times to go over some of those fees and "options" but they are always "busy with a customer" and never call back. Don't waste your time with this dealership.

Buyer Beware - Please read my review before you buy

by JCPW on 04/01/2021

I purchased a 2021 Venza on 3/20/2021. I came into the dealership with the understanding that I would be buying the Venza for around 37k. I had originally picked out a Red Venza Limited but, opted for the Blizzard Pearl Limited because I would be able to customize it easier at a later date. Also, I had received an email with the price of 36,339 for the Red. Both Venza's were Limited but, the Blizzard Pearl had some 3M Clearshield and All weather matts...So slight price increase - I assumed that I would pay 37,000 - and not the 36,339 due to the added options..( 2 were not even on the vehicle...Yet they were listed....) I was told I would receive 18k for my trade in by my sales person Mara Penrod - So, I was content with that. I also had informed her ahead of time about the "color" change. I had also told Mara that I work for a dealership and didn't want to play a bunch of "numbers games" back and forth. I work many hours and already being in this business shouldn't have to be put through the tennis match of going back and forth on numbers. When I came in on Saturday, I was early for my assigned time by 1 hour. I just wanted to come get the car deal done and go home and relax after working 8+ hours in Renton. We got to sit down and the games started. Mara took the sheet back to her sales manager because I wouldn't accept 16k for my car , nor was I about to pay 38k+ for the Venza - this went on a couple of times. The back and forth on price. Then I thought we had settled on 37,004 for the Venza and 17k for my trade. Knowing there was $1500 customer rebate, I was ok with that because it would have made up for the low trade in price of my vehicle...Little did I know till later that I never got the rebate and your "sneaky" sales manager added $1500 to the price of the Venza. When I got back to finance the price had changed to 38,504...Imagine that...exactly $1500 ! Also, while I was in finance, I saw another sneeky charge for some "theft deterrent" and brake plus. I told Mara that I did not want the brake plus - I can put in a $20 module myself and save $380 dollars. I don't believe the "theft deterrent" is even on the Venza - I see no window etching or warning sticker. Must be the same place the owners manual and all weather matts were. Because none of those things were in the car like they were supposed to be. I do realise that I could have opted not to sign any of the forms. I was tired and it was late - at this point I had been at the dealership for 5 hours. I did notice the matts were not in the vehicle and managed to get that on a "we owe" . Unfortunately for me the owners manual and pricing changes were not something I noticed right away. So, upon leaving the finance, Sara said she would have my paperwork emailed to me buy Monday morning. Well, as you can guess...Monday came and went. I heard nothing about any of the matts, or owners manual....paperwork....nothing from Sara in finance or Mara. Guess I was old news since they already sealed the deal. So, I called Mara...She was busy - I'll call you back she says. Again nothing....Wednesday goes by...Nothing....Thursday - called parts asking about the all weather matts -Jason or Jacob in parts couldn't find anything out but said come pick up the matts and he would take care of it somehow. The only person to even bother with helping me was your parts person. Sad...very sad that the low man on the totem pole is the only one to care about making a customer happy. Your internet person even "changed" the prices on the Venza's while I was there that night because I was going to pull up the Blizzard Pearl one and show it to my sales person....She turned around and told me that Larson had done a "market adjustment" on the prices for vehicles that were selling good right now. So up went the prices on all Toyota Venza's... I did finally get my paperwork on Monday the 29th. I believe that was only because I came into the dealership. I feel they should have been emailed or even sent snail mail long before this. I do need to find out about the "theft deterrent" that was charged to me - I don't believe it is on the vehicle - So is a refund in order or How can I get more info/resolve this ? Also can you get me my Owners Manual Packet for the 2021 Venza My experience was not a good one.

Don’t Waste Your Time

by Pat on 08/29/2020

Evin texted me to come down with my wife to look at a truck so I showed up an hour later. Evin passed me off to Chuck who coughed a lot and showed us the truck. I am ready to by this truck and then Chuck asks what price I saw. I told him the internet price . He steps away and returns to tell us the truck was sold!! Really in the last hour? They texted me! Made me look like an idiot in front of my wife. Total bogus teaser crap.

Treated like a friend not a customer

by Kara_Elle on 06/07/2019

Urissa is the BEST. We have come back to the dealership and purchased or leased 3 vehicles from her even though there are several Toyota dealerships closer to our home- because I don't see her as a salesperson, I see her as a trusted advisor who helps inform and educate me in making the best decision for my needs.

Great selection, but watch out for added fees

by drum_thumper on 11/09/2018

I liked the fact that the selection of newer, lower mile cars within my price range was substantial compared to other dealers (this is the second time in the last ten years that a Larson dealer has gained my business from another particular group of dealers due to price vs selection).

Looking for my first car

by SAMMY67 on 09/17/2017

I was in trying to figure out what kind of car i want to get. I had done research online which told me Toyota's last longer. But i didn't understand the difference between a camry and corrola and regular vs hybrid. So a sales guy, chuck milligane (idk spelling) was really nice and funny and able to explain the differences so that i could understand, which helped because i am someone with no prior knowledge of cars, i had went to other dealers and left more confused. When im ready to buy my car i want chuck.

Love my new Rav4

by DJJofAub on 07/28/2017

After intensive research, I knew what car I wanted to buy and what trim package. I sent out several online inquiries to local dealers. Chuck, at Toyota of Tacoma, was not only the first salesman to respond, he also offered the best price and had exactly what I wanted. It was a good experience and I love my new car.

Very satisfying car buying experience (July 2017)

by Heather on 07/19/2017

My husband and I recently purchased a 2017 Highlander XLE. Sam Long, our sales person at Toyota of Tacoma, was accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient with us as we looked at several vehicles on more than one occasion. After we purchased the vehicle, Sam followed up with a phone call to see if we had any questions or needed any troubleshooting help. I would recommend Sam Long to help with your car buying needs. Cal (?) in Finance was a pleasure to work with. He answered our questions, and was very personable. We did not feel pressured to buy additional packages, but he did inform us of what was available to us so that we could determine what was best for our needs. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service we received from Sam Long and Cal at Toyota of Tacoma and would recommend their services to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

Got Ripped off

by slavikyes on 12/29/2016

Hello, recently I purchased a brand new truck from Toyota in Tacoma, Larson Automotive. And Got ripped off!!! I request white exterior with black exterior leather, but they didn't have in stock so they told me they would get it for me tomorrow and I signed the papers and bought the car. Without actually seeing the car. With extra $15k in car upgrades/warranty/maintenance. The next day I was unable to pick up the car so I had my relatives pick up the car. When they picked up the car I was unaware the it car had different interior color, only after they send me the pictures of the car. So the next day my relatives brought the car back but they didn't take it. I asked Arsen Hazbiu (he sold me the car), why it's not black (like it was promised) he said it doesn't come with black interior, when I told him that I will complain, he's first response was, that "its my word versus he's word". So lying to customer just to make a sale ?! So on 11/29/16 they promised white on black truck and the next day that version of the car is not even available. Again, I was not informed me that the vehicle would be different interior. Otherwise I would never bought the car. With extra $15k+tax in car upgrades/warranty/maintenance, thats being installed on the car that I don't want. Total $62526.63 I told them I don't want the truck with this interior but they refuse it to take it back. So I'm stuck with a truck that I hate and because of the mistake that the dealership made. I'm asking for Christmas gift of getting rid of the truck. And they give me back in cash of $5,000 of the deposit that I put down on.

This team is AWESOME

by RossHuish on 09/11/2015

I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating. This dealership deserves it. David, Dana, Trevor & the whole Toyota of Tacoma team, Thank you!!! This dealership went above and beyond for my family. Recently in and in and out of the hospital and battling organ involvement having Scleroderama and SLE Lupus my husband and I were in such great hands with them. While hospitalized just this week again this team took care of us and did all the work while we were in the hospital. They handled everything! My husband nor I had to stress over anything while there financial department and sales team went to work, We went to them because our medical bills had piled high and we could no longer afford our SUV do to the cost of medical bills, chemocare, and not to mention our 5 expensive children. I believe that the lord sent us in there direction for a reason. They got my family in a car affordable on gas, and a perfect size for us. This team never stopped. And they worked hard to make sure we drove out of there lot with a new car and at the payments we needed and could afford. No back and forth bargaining, we told them what we cold afford and they didn't even hesitate. There goal was not to make any commission off us, there goal was to help us. And that is exactly what they did. Thank you so much from the bottom of my family's hearts. All 7 of us! Your kindness is beyond anything we have ever received. Christy, Ross, Collin, Kyle, Savanna, Sierra & Emilee :)

Very good car-buying experience

by Merrylib on 10/15/2014

I had been to several dealers looking for a newish car to replace my '96. I was looking for a comfortable vehicle in a color I could live with. The salesman, Sam Long, was very good helping me to select a vehicle that suited me. Instead of my original intent to buy a pre-owned, I fell in love with a 2015 Corolla. The salesman, finance guy, and manager were all very accommodating in making financial arrangements that suited my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to friends or family.

Fraudulent business, trap distance customers

by rbiswas on 09/30/2014

Let me start with saying the most disgusted business personnel and salesmanship I have ever experienced in my entire life... In my opinion, simply they are conducting fraudulent business. We traveled there and felt like ripped off. The 2014.5 Camry was offered over phone for $20,500 by David B. While preparing the process, the price he was dealing with was $23,650. Meanwhile the car was sold in our back without any information while we were preparing documents. Had a lot of trouble, he promised that he will match the price for another car in the morning, so we stayed in the hotel (we traveled from Tri-cities). In the morning, the store manager (the guy in the profile picture) was extremely rude, and didn't care anything about what we say. He does not care whatever price we were offered over phone. He is one of the nonsense manager I have ever seen. Just Luckily we ended up purchasing the car from Toyota of Bellevue, a whole new and impressive experience of buying a car from ToB. I wish I could sue the Toyota of Tacoma (Larson Toyota). Greedy and low class people [non-permissible content removed].

We love our new Camry!

by JES98445 on 09/28/2014

Fun experience buying our new Camry! Go straight to David C. He was genuine, polite, great sense of humor. Look for the redhead. : ) I'm sure there are plenty of good sales people there, but I only interacted with David C. and D.J., the finance manager. Oh, and a nice sales person who let me use his desk phone, as I had left my cell at home, and needed to reach my daughter's school. We were seated in cool little reclining (a bit) office chairs, given Starbucks coffee. David was soooo KNOWLEDGEABLE. I don't think we had one question he could not answer instantly and in detail. That gave me a lot of confidence in him. Total pleasure. We drove home a beautiful car for a great price. We will go back again.

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THESE UNPROFESSIONALS

by UnHappyInIdaho on 06/18/2014

I purchased a Used 2010 Toyota Venza While on Vacation from Idaho from this Dealership on June 7th 2014. To this day they cannot and will not produce the Title to the State of Idaho DMV so I may License my car to Drive it. As it Stands, it's Still sitting in my Driveway over 11 days after I purchased the car and I still may NOT drive my car. When asked to deal with it for over 11 days now, calling the Sales Person (DREW), the F&I Person (LISA) and then the First Customer Service person and then the Second (Machon M.) in the Service Department, I have only received Lip Service! My Car still sits in my driveway unable to be driven, Complete Incompetence! So much for Purchasing a Car to Drive! IF You have a Job and Want to Keep it by Getting to work to pay for the Car, I recommend You Purchase Your Car Else where. I Still have a $21,000.00 Paper Weight, Good Luck out There!

Great Buying Experience

by happycarowne4 on 06/02/2014

I bought a new vehicle from Larson Toyota of Tacoma. The dealership manager and his salesman, Bobby L., bent over backwards to get me what I wanted in vehicle type, & color in the time frame I needed. They were extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating. If I were to buy another new vehicle, I would certainly go back to them.
