Second Colorado purchase in 2 years

The salesman Carl was very helpful in making sure the dealer installed options got done in a timely manner. He always kept me informed as the new truck was getting ready for delivery. This experience gives new meaning to the words "low pressure"

For the first time in all our years of purchasing vehicles from car lots, we actually enjoyed the experience! I guess I should have titled this review "No pressure felt". Our story: My husband and I were searching for a used truck (not new due to depreciation). After extensive research, we visited 10 different dealerships. Round 1: check out what's available. Round 2: visit dealerships to narrow choices. Round 3: buy. YES....time consuming and tedious, but we narrowed our search down to 3 dealerships. First stop: Country Chevrolet. Salesman Ryan met us and took us to the see the particular truck we were looking for. We told him we wanted to inspect the truck and it would take about 15-20 minutes. He left us alone (after he brought us each a bottle of water). Actual inspection time: 45 minutes. We tried every button, every seat (and seat belt), looked in every crevice and checked all fluids (even though they had just inspected it). We even checked the tire pressure. Time for a test drive...20 miles up steep grades, around town and on the highway. It included sudden acceleration and stops, going over RR tracks and even testing the heat in 80º weather...we're non-smokers and that's a great way to check if someone had previously smoked in this vehicle. We were there 1.5 hours inspecting, driving, running Car Fax and Auto Check and asking a ton of questions. After deciding to purchase, we filled out the initial paperwork and were ushered into Rick's office (business manager aka finance manager). He answered our questions, explaining in detail (when asked). He presented us with several add-ons and when we declined, didn't "hit us" with all the horror stories to scare us into buying unnecessary and expensive extras. It took over an hour in Rick's office because I insisted on reading every word and questioned many of the things we were signing for. The whole time we were inspecting, no one bothered us or "checked on us" in an attempt to hurry us up (Ryan even told the other salespeople to "leave them alone" so we could concentrate on the inspection). When we told him we'd like to (test) drive up some grades and on the highway, he told us we could drive wherever we needed to drive. He never once seemed hurried or upset that we didn't do a quick 5 minute drive on a few local streets. He was quiet while we were talking to each and didn't intervene unless we addressed him first. We didn't have an excessive wait for the paperwork and everyone we dealt with was organized and professional. Jeremy, the sales manager, introduced himself and patiently answered our questions (even ones that weren't related to the sale of the truck). After the paperwork was initiated, we had questions about having Country Chevrolet install a bed liner and tow package...Ryan went to the service department and found the answers. We were pleasantly surprised that he didn't pressure us into having these things done at the dealership even when we had mentioned that they were important options for us. The gentleman who detailed our truck (I forgot to get his name) did an awesome job-he even cleaned under the seats and in the seat pockets that were behind the front seats. I really appreciate the fact that they didn't use any stinky or smelly odor eliminators like Febreeze. Lest I forget to mention...the price. The price we paid was in line with KBB's, Edmunds' and NADA's listings. For our trade-in, we were given more than the vehicle was worth according to those same sites. I checked the values myself while sitting in the vehicle during our inspection. I was fully prepared to haggle and wheel & deal with them as I had with every past vehicle purchase. Since the prices "on the table" were more than fair to begin with, there was little, if any, room left to move. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that we will go back to Country Chevrolet for our next truck purchase. Even though they are a Chevy dealership and they know we will always buy Fords, they told us they are able to find whatever vehicle we're looking for and have it shipped to their lot (no freight charge). We were also informed that they have a Ford mechanic who is employed by them. We both had fun buying our next used truck (I NEVER thought I'd be able to use the words "fun" and "buying a used truck" in the same sentence). I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone who's in the market for another vehicle (new or used). My husband said more than once that he felt like "they treated us like family in a good way". He said unequivocally that we will buy our next vehicle from them and would be willing to wait if necessary for them to find what we're looking for.

120 point inspection?

I went to look at trucks and found one we were interested in. Our credit was a little rough and did require a little work. We were there for 2 days, no real place for children and I had been recovering from hit by a truck 2 weeks earlier. I was told that this truck had not 1 but 2 120 points inspections. I would usually have taken this for private inspection, I was told this truck came with 3 month 3k mileage warranty and they would fix anything that was found that needed to be fixed. I bought the truck and got home and started looking at the truck. I had 2 bald tires, seat heater that didn't work and a light that was broken and tucked away. Then the check engine light came on. I wrote Chris a letter and I may have been a little harsh but after 12 hours, kids and I was in pain and was told it had 2 inspections, I was a little annoyed. I received a phone call and was told to come down and discuss the tires. This was nothing more than a tongue lashing for my letter from Will. I was told if I didn't change my attitude he had a 37 page letter saying as is. So much for the 3 month, fix anything that is wrong inspection to we don't have emissions here why worry. Got 4 tires and all the rest was denied. So when you hear WE stand behind our vehicles be prepared to take it in the r--r. Im sorry but a jiffy lube could have done a better inspection and this was a dealer

Great experience

Kristie did such an awesome job getting me approved for my car. First time buyer without a Co signer or much money down. He worked so hard to get me into my car. We first came in Saturday and he said we would have better luck Monday. Went in Monday and drove it home that night! He never once tried pushing me to look at other vehicles. He got me approved for the one I wanted. Great job!

Great Service

I has been searching for an used truck for quite a while and went to see Kris L. about one on their lot. It was ideal and Kris made the purchase painless. In fact it was easily the best car buying experience I've had, and I've been through more than a few. But the best was the service after the sale. My truck had some damage to the windshield, and Kris made sure a replacement was included in the sale. Kris had my windshield replaced in just a few days. However while driving home I noticed the new windshield was cracked, I called Kris and he immediately arranged for a SECOND replacement windshield. I wholeheartedly recommend Kris L. and Country Chevrolet for your next vehicle purchase.

amazing service!

my boyfriend and I had a cummins diesel douly truck that wasn't fitting our lifestyle anymore. So we did a little research online and found a 2013 Chevy Equinox at booth and laduke motors in colville wa. We called Kris L. to handle this trade in for us. it took 24 hrs from first call to the keys to my new car in my hand and personally delivered to me in my hometown 40 miles away! not to mention Kris worked really hard and got us an unbelievable monthly rate and apr. we really could not be happier!!!! 2011 Kia Soul

Wow! That is the best response I have for this dealership! From the moment that I contacted them about an online posting to walking out the door with my new car they treated me like family. Not once did I feel like they were trying to trick me or be deceitful like a lot of dealerships. They gave me the best deal in the world for the 2011 Kia Soul I purchased. They were extremely willing to work with me on what I wanted and needed in the car as well as the price I needed it to be. I worked with Kris L. and he was absolutely wonderful! He was knowledgeable about the vehicle I was purchasing and promptly answered all questions. Truly felt like he was on my side in making the deal happen. Oh, and I drove an hour and a half from Spokane to shop at this dealership. Can say without a doubt that I would do it again in a heartbeat! If you are searching for a car, consider this place first!

2014 Chevy Cruise Diesel

I had been looking at the diesel cruise's for awhile, reading reviews and doing some research. When I decided that's what I wanted to buy I went in and took one for a test drive and loved it! Kris L. was my sales person and was very knowledgable and friendly. Because I had done my research I had my mind made up on exactly what I wanted so, I told Kris the color, and all options I wanted. Kris smiled and said okay. Less than a week later I was driving exactly what I'd asked for plus. They found it in Detroit and had it sent to Colville. Booth and LaDuke Motors, Kris L. and staff exceeded my expectations in customer service.

I had heard how underhanded these people were but wanted to give them a chance because I was a believer in shopping locally. I was given a price on a vehicle which I was led to believe included tax, license, and all other fees. I had been doing a lot of shopping on line and this price was comparable to what I had found in Spokane. At this point I made the mistake of trusting these people and not fully understanding what they had put into the contract. Perhaps the biggest mistake other than going there in the first place, was feeling good about buying an extended warranty for half price. This is where I believe they caught me off guard. The numbers weren't adding up but I thought it was just because of the warranty. At the end of the day they took that quoted price and added all the taxes and other fees which I still believed were included in the original quote. When I confronted them about the price difference I was told that they would never quote a price that included taxes and other fees. As for the pricing information I found online I was told it was not accurate and confusing to consumers. I believe these people are very deceitful at best in their practices and should be avoided. I strongly urge you to stay as far away from this place as possible. The only reason I gave them one star is because there was no provision to give a negative rating. I believe that it is practices like this that compel people to do their buying in Spokane.

BUYER BE AWARE

I Purchased a VW Beetle from the dealership hoping that I am making the right choice by not buying a vehicle privately and even paid about 2-3 thousand more for the vehicle. I needed to import the vehicle into Canada. They did not send me the title of the vehicle with the paper work and I ended up going to the border 4 times. Finally when the vehicle was brought into Canada, the speedometer fell apart and the fog lights are not working and the dealership provided me with only one key. When contacted,they said THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS 15000 DOLLARS, WAS SOLD AS IS there was only one key available and about the speedometer and fog lights, the response was " I am sorry to hear that ". These guys are all nice and friendly as long as the payment has not been made. Once you make the payment, they show their true colors. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THEM
