Wonderful Experience

We had a wonderful experience at Mechanicsville Honda. We went to another local Honda dealership and felt that they were not interested in helping us. From the moment you walk into Mechanicsville Honda they treat you like family. They respect their customers and truly want to help you find the car of your dreams. This includes the general manager, the finance manager and of course our wonderful salesperson, Emilio. He did everything in his power to find us the right car and was willing to take our needs back and forth to his manager several times. Always pleasant, always smiling. We would definitely recommend him as “the best car salesperson” we have ever had (and we have bought many cars in our lifetime). Kudos to Mechanicsville Honda!!

Unexpected purchase of a new 2023 Ridgeline RTL-E

During my recent search for a new vehicle I was initially not even considering the RIdgeline. However, after test driving one I was impressed by the fit, finish and driving characteristics of the truck. Mechanicsville Honda had the trim level and interior color I liked right on the lot and I was connected with Emilio as my salesperson. He was highly professional and worked hard to ensure that I received all of the incentives Honda was offering on the RL and was an effective go between for me and his management. In the end, I felt I got a good deal. Mechanicsville Honda was fairly easy to work with. Buying a vehicle is always annoying but you could tell this dealership had policies in place that made the car buying experience such that, with a little research on your part, easy enough to navigate fairly. Their vehicles had “add ons” but, in my case, they were accessories that frankly I would have purchased on my own. Yes they were likely marked up, but I felt I got more than the difference on my trade which again, my salesperson Emilio worked hard to secure on my behalf. In the end, I felt I got a decent deal on a good vehicle that I initially was not thinking of purchasing. I like it a lot and I would use this dealership again.

Robert J(RJ) Great Sales Rep

RJ provided excellent service. He was very knowledgeable about the Honda vehicles. He listened to my preferences and identified vehicles based on my preferences, including features such as color, interior design, etc. He also helped me to consider features that I would want to retain, that I had not considered. RJ did an excellent job of explaining the different levels of CRVs, as well as what features were available for each model. I truly felt very well informed. RJ was patient, thorough, conversational, and very accommodating. Thanks to RJ, when I decided to purchase my CRV, I was confident and comfortable with my decision. I knew that I purchased a vehicle that met my needs, my preferences and was within my budget. RJ provided me with an excellent customer experience.

Great Serivce Dept!

I just wanted to take a moment to compliment the service personnel at Mechanicsville Honda. I had a friend who had purchased from the dealer and spoke well of the sales and service departments so I decided to give them a try even though they weren't the closest dealership to me. I was first impressed with how I was greeted when I got there. It was a much more welcoming environment than what I had been used to. I was having some routine maint. done and decided to wait. I was told the work would take approx. one-one and a half hours to complete and that was pretty much right on target. When they were finished I was surprised to have someone actually explain what they had done to my car and when my next service should be scheduled. I found the entire staff to be pleasant and professional and the price was more than fair based on my prior dealer. I would now call myself a customer of Mechanicsville Honda and would definitely recommend them and their service department highly.

Disrespected New Customer

I have nothing negative to say about my actual sales/purchasing experience in Aug '2011 from Mechanicsville Honda However, unfortunately, my complaint lies solely with the 'Service' Department, specifically an employee named 'TJ'. When you call for service and maintenance, expect to be placed on hold for a very long time with no response whatsoever from whomever answers. Do not attempt to call back because then you'll receive the immature (and implied [violative content deleted] ) giggle and you will be placed on hold again - indefinitely. I've attempted to contact the 'Service' department twice since purchasing the vehicle in August to schedule maintenance and both times received the same disrespect and treatment. It's like they feel you don't matter if you're not standing right in front of them. Hey guys, have you ever heard of repeat business and word-of-mouth? The economy is tough so you may not want to ignore and mistreat potentially good, long-lasting customers with your attitude. Customer service should include those who work in the 'Service' department not just those who are waiting to make a sale. Because of this type of non-service, I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from this dealer (Mechanicsville Honda) and/or location.

Great Experience and Great Salespeople!

We received a quote and then asked for an out-the-door price. Within one hour, I received that as well. They had the vehicle we wanted in stock, so we drove out the same evening. Within 10 mins, they gave us a good quote on our trade-in, and then gave us the final OTD price, as well as monthly payments (which were exactly what I had calculated!). Within 15 mins, we were finalizing the deal! The internet sales group (Christy) and our sales person (Mike) worked together to give us a great deal. In addition, we were never asked to wait while they went to get "permission" from a manager, they did all of the work themselves. We will definitely buy from them again!!

Well except for the tornado and network crash

Did my homework on the internet and found that with financing deals, etc it made more sense to go with a 2010 (new) than an 11 or used. Then called around for what was available. Got internet quotes from USAA and Edmunds. Then called to refine prices and then dickered via phone an internet. Two companies refused to give an out the door price (see reviews). Then visited dealers to look at the cars. These guys had offered the best price and had the colors we were looking for. No real pressure. Did a test drive, considered colors, started paperwork. Their computer network crashed. Could not get it up filled out what we could. Came back the next day to finish. Tornado passed the front window of the showroom about 10 minutes after we left. Oh and what we actually paid was $200 less than phone quote.
