They will lie to get the sale

I leased a vehicle from Toyota of Bountiful. They called me up asking if I wanted to turn in my lease early and purchase a newer vehicle. I agreed to talk to them about it. They said they would pay off my lease if I purchased a new vehicle so would not be responsible for the remaining payments. They cut me a check and sent me on my way. I get a bill from Toyota for the remaining payments. The check they gave me was not enough to cover the remaining payments on the lease. When I contacted them about this, they basically sent me on my way and told me I would be responsible for the remaining payments. They basically lied to me when they told me they would pay off the lease and left me with the remaining payments. This is the 2nd time this dealership has lied to me. Previously they told me they gave a referral bonus if you send in a friend who purchased a vehicle. After fighting to get my bonus after a friend purchased a vehicle, I was never paid the referral bonus I was told I would get. Do NOT listen to what these people tell you. They will lie to you to get the sale then leave you hanging.

Extreme satisfaction

Our experience here was amazing. Kerry Lucy helped us so much and got a vehicle we wanted/needed. She was amazing to us and she worked her butt off to help us get into something. The whole atmosphere at the dealership is so fun and welcoming. Not once did we feel lesser of a person for not having a ton of money. Instead we were made to feel like a part of the Toyota family. Kerry was our hero in the situation and we are eternally great full to her and the whole team that helped us out. You guys are amazing!

Best Sales Professionals Ever

Quite frankly, I left another survey, but Minoj was brilliant. He breaks the mold of the perceived notion of sales pros in the auto industry. He was caring, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I would reccommend everyone I know to him, and his service was truly (no BS) the best service I’ve ever received and I live in a B2B Sales world where there’s plenty going around. 5 stars. 100%. Whatever it is. Truly an amazing experience. Minoj is a true professional.

Best Car Buying Experience Ever!

This is the only place I will now do business! Jeff had the vehicle I was interested in prepared for me to drive right upon arrival. From there it was a no pressure customer service focused experience! Their finance manager (Ghassan) was equally impressive and made it a point to explain all of my options to me and then he worked one on one with the bank I financed through to get me the vehicle and the financing I wanted. I have always dreaded buying a car but now that I have experienced this new level of customer service I will never buy a car anywhere else!

New 2018 Toyota Corolla

I was interested in learning pricing of a '17 or '18 Corolla or Rav4 and put out an inquiry online and within minutes a salesman from Bountiful Toyota was on top of it. We scheduled a test drive and a few hours later I was driving home in a beautiful new 2018 Corolla. My biggest concern was of price point and the salesman, Jeremy, stayed right within my price range. The biggest stress at a dealership is of the "price haggling" once you decide upon a vehicle but there were no surprises and overall I left extremely satisfied with my experience and purchase.

No respect for your time....

After purchasing a vehicle I spent two hours at the DMV, only to find they had not submitted the paperwork to title the vehicle. After they sent it in I spent another 2 hours there to finish the process. The service department will not call you back and they have made me wait more than 6 hours to get the windshield replaced.

Wonderful, family friendly car dealer

My experience with Toyota Bountiful was exceptional and left me with a great impression of how awesome this dealership is! They were very friendly and willing to work with my tight budget, not only are their prices fair, they showed me awesome vehicles I never though would be in my price range and worked with me to make it a reality. All the employees there were polite and non-pressuring on the sale. The store and cars were well maintained and clean. This is a dealership with a lot of class and promise and I will definitely be recommending them to those I know in search of easy car buying!

Michael Jensen was the salesman that helped me purchase my new 2017 Tacoma. I spent half the day going through financial options with him and test driving various models. Extremely helpful. We settled on the best deal that exceeded my expectations. Through my experience burying cars, he was the best salesman that I've purchased from. I would recommend him to anyone.

Never listen to customer (SALES DEPT)

3:30 AM phone rings...... Here's the details: I worked in another country with a +13 hour time zone difference. I had purchased a NEW Prius 6 months earlier and the head of the sales Dept. has an auto call system wanting me to buy a new car. Really this one had 4000 miles on it! I returned a call to the number and left a voice message requesting not to be called any more for obvious reasons. I also blocked the number. A couple of weeks later same scenario, same caller, but from a different number. Again I call and leave same request and block the new number. Two more times and I finally call the dealer and ask to speak with the manager. Bear in mind it is 3AM and I was very upset having a 12 hour work day ahead of me. The manger didn’t give a damn about my time difference and told me I should not be so upset finishing with this closing: “You are not to ever come to this dealership again and I will remove you from our calling list” (which was all I wanted) He then hung up on me. Maybe I was wrong but at the same time what kind of treatment could you expect from this dealer on any other issue from financing to vehicle warranty problems or any other items you expected dealer help from after spending $34K on a new car. Just buying another Prius at Larry Miller Toyota after a reasonable 2 years. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. I still use the service Dept. as the staff is great and they were always helpful with the other cars I had bought from Bountiful Toyota.

Satisfying purchase

We only intended to test drive a used RAV4. Our salesman Ben went with us and answered our questions as we did our test drive. We ended up buying a 2015 RAV4, a certified used car that was newer than the first car we reviewed. The car still had that new car smell, was clean and had the driving experience of a new car. After one week, we are totally pleased with this purchase.

Crashed new car!

I was in the other day to purchase a new car. Had the car picked out and as they went to detail it the garage door came down on top of the hatch. Needless to say they worked with me on finding another new car (that we ended up liking better) and even threw in some incentives to make up for it. I live 40 minutes way from this dealership and once the new car was brought into the dealership the sales rep brought it to my house with the rest of the paperwork at 8pm so I didn't have to drive back out. Aside from that mishap, the staff was very friendly and I had a good experience.

Dishonest Action and Poor Decision Making:

A very dishonest action was made by the Sales Department of Toyota Bountiful on March 11, 2017. This action reflects poorly on their business and casts doubt about their ethics and morals. This action demonstrates that the Sales Department is a sham and the public cannot trust Toyota Bountiful. The individuals involved in this decision should be reprimanded and counseled so that other potential buyers will not be treated so poorly in the future. This dishonest action was made during the sales negotiation for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4, Stock # DM128636A, VIN #3TMLU4EN3DM12836. In summary, a well-defined sales price was presented to me after numerous discussions over a few days, all documented in text. Unfortunately, when I agreed to “seal the deal” on the well-defined sales price the Sales Department changed their mind and increased the price. Of course I was shocked that the business did this and I did not continue any further communication with them. This action reflects very poorly on Toyota Bountiful and I strongly recommend that people stay away from this business.

Extremely rude and insulting manager

Went in to check out a car I saw online. They got me approved for the car, however I'm being told that I need to put $10k down for a 18000 car. I was approved for 20k. I tell this rude and insulting guy that I can put 1k down with a trade in. HE says that I don't pay my bills, that he's losing money selling me this car and needs to make money. So I have to give him 10k, plus the 20k that I was approved for. So 30k for an 18k car. HE starts telling me that I'm lying about the cars value and starts insulting my work. No one appreciates they are being told "maybe you don't understand" "that's not true" "if the kbb value is higher, you're going to pay that amount instead of our listed pricing". I have never been treated like this, EVER! I'm surprised you guys sell cars at all. This is ubsurd. I want the OWNER to call me personally. I'm still willing to buy the car, but I will not be dealing with this [non-permissible content removed]guy. Who is an absolute joke, rude and insulting. I wouldn't even have him as a greeter at a Walmart! I will turn everyone I can possibly reach to stay away from this dealership unless this is resolved.

Happy with the new car

I live in Pocatello, ID and wanted to help my daughter get a new car (the one she is currently driving has 160,000 miles on it and is not in very good condition). I knew I wanted to get a Toyota as that is what I own and it has been a very good car. I have been looking online at other Idaho, Montana and Utah dealerships for about two months comparing cars and prices, then one day I talked to Craig at Bountiful Toyota and decided that was where we would go look. Craig was so wonderful to work with. He is the kind of employee a business is lucky to have. We bought a Toyota Avalon and my daughter is so excited. We appreciate everything Craig did for us-he was such a gentleman. We also appreciate Weston, he did the paperwork and he was very kind and polite. Also, thank you to the manager, KC for his help. We would recommend Bountiful Toyota and especially Craig for anyone looking to buy a car.

Great Car, Terrible Customer Service

We have a child with special needs that requires the auto access seat offered in the Sienna. We had been researching these vans for quite some time and were waiting on a raise to purchase the van. We saw that Bountiful had lower tax rates and decided to go to Toyota Bountiful for the lower rate –big mistake. Because we had to special order our van, the salespeople used every trick in the book to take advantage of us, all the while saying that this is how they treat their family. I would hate to be their family. In the beginning we were presented with two offers. One with a higher interest rate, and one with a lower interest rate, but with a bunch of useless packages added on. He said he had to add on those things in order to get the rate down –total lie, this is called “dealer reserve” and buying down the interest rate. We figured we'd rather get something out the deal and not throw money away on interest. We later realized that we had many more options because the interest rate is completely dependent on credit score and is not manipulated by packages or price. We had already signed though and got trapped. After giving them a down payment to order our special needs van they did not give us updates or return our calls at all (we have the phone records to prove it). We repeatedly called to check on the status, but never got a straight answer. At one point they told us the van had been built and would be there the next week. When we called back they realized it was going to a different dealer in Indiana. How do they not know where their inventory is coming from? We had better luck directly calling the fleet manager and even found out that the van was there before the salespeople knew. Their lack of communication with us and each other was appalling. When we sat down to negotiate the final price they refused to budge on anything. The tax rate had gone up since they made the first offer so they gladly put that in. We wanted to make sure that the $1000 manufacture rebate was coming from them and was separate from the $1000 Toyota mobility reimbursement. When we mentioned this he said they were the same thing, which we knew was a complete lie because we had agreed at the initial offer that they weren’t. My wife started getting emotional and he repeatedly told her to stop crying –which made us way more upset. We held our ground and he totally blew up, jumped up from his chair, yelled at us, and stormed out the door. After a heated conversation on the phone with his manager, he came back and acted like he had done us a favor by separating the two. From that point on he was very short with us and chided us whenever we asked questions to clarify the contract. The only saving grace from this is that we love our van. It works great for us and has not given us any problems. For this reason, we will always buy Toyota vehicles, but we will NEVER buy from Toyota Bountiful again –which is too bad for them because my in-laws recently purchased a Toyota from a different dealer based on our experience. From our experience: salesperson was useless, financial and insurance manager was the sneakiest person there, and the manager was just a smiling face putting on a facade.

Not impressed, lack of trust

Salesmen rude to each other, was passed off to different salesmen who didn't communicate with each other and were each offering different numbers. The dealership had sold the same car twice to two different people while I was there. The dealership is less than honest with their pricing on their website. They list a low internet price, but neglect to point out that the price will be $1,000 higher if you want financing incentives.

An experience to

What an amazing experience I had!!! I'm so grateful to have met both my salesperson Anthony and my financial agent Aaron. They were wonderful! I so appreciate Anthony's patience and kindness in helping me leasing my first car, the Rav4. I've never been very fond of sales agents in general, because most show a fake kindness and their ulterior motive for the commission comes through so strongly, making people feel pushed and coerced, but Anthony was genuinely kind, nice, concerned, and helpful. He also was very knowledgeable and professional. He truly went above and beyond his duty to make it a beautiful experience for me. An awesome guy! Aaron was very patience with my lack of organization in turning in the documents needed and he always showed so much empathy and kindness. I kept asking him "What if I were your sister... what would you recommend?" He was honest and direct! I'm so grateful to both to have provided me with such an awesome experience. I'll recommend both and the Bountiful Toyota to everyone. Thanks! :)

I don't understand the bad reviews!

Toyota Bountiful is the best! My husband and I were shopping for a used car and Jesse & Cameron totally hooked us up! Jesse picked us up and drove us to the dealership which was super beneficial! We told him our price range and that we didn't have much down to work with and he helped us stay within our budget! The 2005 Ford Focus we saw online was there, but they also had a 2012 Hyundai Accent that had gotten there the day before that he showed us. Since it was still dirty, he knocked the price down to our budget but still got it cleaned! Our monthly payments are only $19 more than what we were looking for but we had no problem with it because of the year! They were also able to have us only do $300 down, compared to the $1,500 the bank wanted! Cameron was super funny and friendly and turns out we're both from San Diego! We absolutely will come back with any car buying needs! p.s. Their refreshment area is to die for!!!
