Stay away. Unethical

I strongly recommend that you do not buy a used vehicle from these people. They sold me a 2015 Audi Q5 with less than 42,000 miles on it. One month and one week later I had to have over $3,200 worth of repairs done to the vehicle. The brakes were completely gone. The battery and spark plugs needed to be replaced. The top timing cover was cracked. I still haven’t fixed all the things from the first time and last night, it stranded me on the side of the road again. They do not do mechanical inspections of the used cars they sell. My fault for not getting it independently inspected but I assumed Mercedes Benz of Plano would operate ethically. They do not. It has been the worst car buying experience of my life. I very strongly recommend that you do not buy from them. I have supporting documentation of everything I’ve said here. Do not buy a used car from these people.

Upsetting Situation

Very Upsetting! On October 29, I was in a store that was held at gunpoint. I was inside with my younger son, while my 15 year old daughter waited in the car(2019 Benz) my son got a gun pointed on his head as he threaten to shot, if I didn’t give him my keys and my phone. I had neither because supposedly it was a quick in and out. I had left everything in the car with my daughter inside the car. But of course being afraid for my daughters life I couldn’t say it. All I said I got drop off. He shock me around and found nothing, told us to lay in the floor, I did but I laid on top of my son. Kelp going from person to person asking for their belongings. Came back around pointed a gun and said are you ready to give me your keys or do you want me to shut. My son cried, he searched me again and walked away. All I could do is pray they wouldn’t notice my daughter in the car. As soon as they left the store, I quickly got up running towards the door, only to notice my car gone. I froze thinking `my daughter’ then glance down only to see her laying in the floor. I ran towards her and asked if she was okay, she said they pointed a gun and pushed her holding a gun against her back till she was inside the store and then with a gun pushed her to the floor. The store called the cops, they did a full investigation. 3 days after they found my car. All the cámaras and front screen where ripped out. The cops kelp my vehicle for a couple days for fingerprints. It was towed to Mercedes-Benz in Plano on November 11, 2020. I contacted the service department to see what it needed. After going back and forth with the insurance, supposedly my car was going to be ready by December 12. I had a rental that my insurance provided for only 30 days. I waited until December 14 and had to call them because I hadn’t heard anything from them. Only to hear that they ran into a problem and my car also needed a new harness. But he explained the bad part is that this part, comes from Germany and they start building it after we order it. He explained it takes 10 weeks to 14 weeks to build. I quickly told but I’m paying out of pocket for my rental already, that I had already had to returned because it was getting expensive, I can’t afford paying a rental and a car note. He mentioned he was going to try to help me getting a loaner but couldn’t promise anything. On December 15, he called and told me I pulled some strings and got you a loaner. On January 12 I sent a text checking up on my car. His only reply was .. unfortunately the harness is not in yet... that was his full response Until January 20. I get a text at 8:50am saying his manager had informed him a loaner was only for 30 days and I had until 7pm that same day to return it. I was hurt. I responded I am at work till 7pm, I have to rushed out afterwards to pick up my daughter from therapy. I don’t have another car. He explained he had told me the part would take 14-18 weeks.. noooo he never mentioned that long, and besides that I assumed he was given me a loaner until the car was fixed. Not for only 4 weeks so I can be out on a limb for 10 weeks to 14 weeks more. That would leave me paying for a car for 5 to 6 months, if not more that I don’t even drive. And all he can say is you have to take it with your insurance to get you a rental. No insurance gives you more than 30 days with a car rental. And how did professional Mercedes experts miss the harness being damage in the first place. I will be taking legal advice on how to handle this. I will also take the loaner back today. Because after I told him. I couldn’t just dropped everything yesterday, he said he would Extend 1 more day and I will pay out of his pocket for the additional day! [non-permissible content removed]...that’s all I can say.

Guarantee repair for a suspicious noise

Service on '13 E-350

Get a service rep here that's on your wave-length and your experience will be painless. My wife's E-350 is on a service contract with extended warranty. When it's service time, I make an appointment and take the vehicle in. Quick drop off and exchange for a loaner. Work has always been done properly and I get a call from my advisor when the serviced vehicle is ready for pick-up.

Love my car!

I recently traded in my 2012 E-class for a 2017. What a delightful experience. I have serviced here for a while and the service guys are so wonderful. During my last service, I took some time to walk the showroom and the staff was pleasant and unobtrusive. When I was ready to ask questions, I did not have to wait, Brandon was right there and willing to immediately help me. I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted, so he had me test drive a few models. I fell in love with the new E-class and I couldn't be happier with it!!

(I'm so happy with my purchase and want to share my experience so I'm posting this review on more than just Yelp...) I can go on about the purchase experience... how surprised I was to find myself (for a change) in a car dealership feeling happy and human... but that can be personal to me so I'll stick with the Facts: When I called and asked for Tony Ortega I was told that he's with a customer and that within 20 minutes I'll either get a call back from him or from another MB professional. Sure enough within a few minutes Tony calls back, finds me the "exact" package I've been searching for and at a price that worked for me after my trade in.... I was still a bit worried because the other 3 dealerships in my area also gave me great prices over the phone but when I got there it somehow became $3,000 to $6,000 more! Not with Tony, when he showed me the total price on paper I was surprised! No gimmicks! No "oh, that car just sold but we have".... he actually honored his word and even agreed to give me a bit more for my trade in! (He said he'll agree to that because I was sitting across him with my 4 month old daughter and she was too cute to resist... :-) ) I also want to acknowledge the rest of the team and the welcoming reception people. Top service! A true luxury experience! Thank you!!

DECEPTIVE

I put my car in for routine 10,000 mile service for my GL 550. I got a phone call from service advisor saying that tire pressure monitor is reading low pressure and he found a nail in my rear passenger tire. He said it would cost $500 and some change to replace it. I suspected something is not right since I had no tire pressure warning when I dropped off my car. Since I usually use Discount Tires, I told him I will take my car to Discount Tires for that. When I picked up my car, the service advisor did not even meet up with me. I asked for service manager who cannot find the nail as he and I inspected the tire together. I drove my car for another 7 days, and tire pressure monitor is still not showing low pressure. Tire pressure for all four tires are good. It seems that the service department tried to scam me for a tire that is over $500. The cost for the services at Mercedes dealership is higher than non-dealership already. Why trying to charge customer for unnecessary services??? In addition, I scheduled an appointment, but had to wait for 30 min before someone came to talk to us. They were helping people who came after me. That's not right. Service advisor was acting like he was doing me a favor. Completely rude! I did not expect this kind of service, or the lack of service, from Mercedes Benz. Unbelievable. I can't comprehend how Mercedes Benz would allow their authorized dealership to treat their customer in such manner. RUDE, DISHONEST, DECEPTIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I lost my trust in Mercedes Benz of Plano. I will not come back to this dealership since I cannot trust what they tell me anymore. Beware of Mercedes Benz of Plano!

Completely Ignored

My wife and I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about trading in my BMW for a 2016 Mercedes-Benz. The receptionist did her job and greeted us. The sales staff however completely ignored us. They looked right through us as if we didn't exist. My wife felt we were being treated as if we weren't good enough to be there. After 10 minutes we left. Staying with BMW and my BMW dealorship.

Amazing Experience!!

What an amazing experience at Mercedes-Benz of Plano!! First lets just say that Mr. Steve Gleason was excellent in understanding our needs as this was our very first time buying a Mercedes. Steve was extremely patient and showed us all the different cars and had us test drive few of them to our satisfaction explaining every possible features of the car.. He just went above and beyond to make us comfortable, like family, throughout our new car buying experience!! Steve did everything possible to not only get us the best deal but also helped us get the delivery of the car on my wife's birthday on very short notice.. The best part is that none of the staff at the dealership were like the stereotypical pushy salesman and were helpful, friendly and professional.. I would probably give a 11/10 for such exemplary staff and it was by far the stellar experience in the DFW area - ultimately the reason why we wanted to go back to Mercedes Benz Plano to actually buy the car..

I never post anything like this on the internet but had to put this out there. Just purchased my first S-Class MB from MB Plano. These guys were great. We ran into a issue with the first car we were negotiating on that caused that deal not to work out. However, within minutes we had another car picked out and they were so concerned with customer service and making the deal right I got an awesome deal on an even better S-Class. Can not say enough about the whole staff working there. I will be a life long customer.

Been taking all my Mercs to MB Plano and Randy W. He has been and continues to be a fantastic service advisor. Always curteous and professional, provides me the best options after assessments. Follows up before and after the appointment, has the necessary details ready and suggests the right options. Rest of the staff are fantastic as well. would definitely keep taking my cars there.

Great first service visit!

I just moved to Prosper, Texas from the Houston, Texas area. I have always done my own maintenance and repairs on my E320 CDI but this last repair was above my pay grade. Mercedes Benz of Plano was the closest dealership to Prosper. I made an appointment which was easy and pleasant. My ASM was Damen G. Great guy and was very helpful. He gave me a loaner while they looked at my vehicle. He kept me updated through out the process. Overall a great experience!

Genuine professional and warm welcome

The relaxed atmosphere and patience of Rebecca, Kevin, and Heidi were superior in their knowledge; and Rebecca worked with us when we changed our minds and decided we really wanted a new Mercedes. When Kevin took over to help us with new MB we knew she had selected the right person! We are seniors and require patience and it did not seem to both anyone. We were not only excited and happy like a couple of kids, my sister and daughter and I were ecstatic. I will not drive any other vehicle than my beautiful 300 Lunar Blue Beauty and we are now talking about what we want next! Thank you again and again. Warmest regards to everyone in the dealership.
