"Cheat or love" - or "love to cheat"

I was told by Director of Internet Sales that he would sell me a car for a certain price. He said his family owned the business and he would treat me right when I got there. I went the following day and they sold the car to someone else while I was there at the dealership (I was there first and the vehicle had been promised to me). I was going to trade in two cars - they claimed both cars were upside down by three thousand dollars / Black Book said that combined they were upside down by three thousand dollars. The sales manager called me (after I left the dealership)"to make it up" and offered me a decent price on a newer car but would not budge on the trade in value of my car - making it 1,000.00 more than sticker on the car that they were offering that I didn't even go there for. I wasted time (Saturday) gas (50.00) and was treated poorly. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They treat you well if they think you are sucker.

Poor First Impression

You never get a second chance to make a first impression and VW of Corpus Christi blew their chance with me. I bought the car but the sales experience was similar to dealing with an airhead convenience store clerk, you know the type. The worst episode consisted of handing me the keys for a solo test drive to a car without a proper tag or any fuel. Fortunately the car, which had just been driven to the front of the dealership, didnt start. That at least was better than down the road a few blocks in traffic. After re-fueling and leaving the premises the sales clerk called for me to return as the car wasnt tagged properly. There were other derelictions of job performance too numerous to mention. I returned the customer satisfaction survey and the sales manager did respond promptly but only to argue how they didnt deserve a low rating. I was not impressed with the professionalism of the sales team. If you want a VW try another dealer. Hope the service dept is better????
