South Point Hyundai dealership was the one and only choice for me when it comes to purchasing a car. The greatest employees,Patrick, Adan, and Ali put me at ease when it came to turning over my car lease for an upgraded version. It was an unexpected purchase but an easy and no hassle experience. South Point Hyundai is the place you need to go when you need a car and friendly professional experience.

Easy To Lease

We recently leased a new Sante Fe with the Premium Package from South Point Hyundai. I had 3 dealers competing for my business. The professionals at south Point were top notch starting with Mark, the internet sales manager who was courteous, prompt, reasonable and helpful in the buying process. He was assessed by Sonny, the sales manager, Ali in Finance, Eddie and Sam who were very helpful to us. I was able to negotiate a 3 year lease that I feel was fair and reasonable for me and South Point. The 2 other Hyundai dealerships which are located much closer to my home were unable or unwilling to even come close to meeting the terms of the deal I made with South Point. I am looking forward to having my car serviced at South Point and working with Megan and the service group. Special thanks to Mark Ziehr, the internet sales manager for his professional handling of our leasing negotiations. He made it very easy to do business with South Point. I highly recommend this dealership.

Red Carpet Service

Our experience started by contacting the internet manager of sales for South Point, Mark, and he bent over backwards to get us into a car that had everything in that we wanted. Once we settle on the car and price, we explained to Mark that we were renting a car and had to return it to the airport and he immediately made plans for us to be picked up at the airport. Sam, who was the concierge person for South Point, picked us up in what was to be our new Santa Fe. As we drove back to the Store he pointed out the many new features of the car. He arranged for us to meet the head of service immediately. A lovely lady who assured us that we would be taken care and if we have any problems to please call her. We were then escorted by Sam into Marks office where Mark made us feel at home and at the same time made feel very special. As we were going over the papers that we were to sign etc, Sonny, the head of sales came by to introduce himself and wanted to make sure that if we ever had any questions, we should feel free to call him. A few minutes later we were introduced to Eddy, who gave us all of the manuals that went with the car and before we left the store actually sat in the car to help us with the technology that goes with our car. We were then escorted into the office of the Finance Manager, Ali, who went over the financial papers. Again, a very capable and friendly man. When we were about to leave to get into our new car, we were greeted by all of the above and shook hands with us and again repeated that if we have any problems at all that they would be at our service. This was a very refreshing experience and put our minds to rest when it came to where we got our new car from. I highly recommend South Point Hyundai!

DO NOT USE THIS DEALER - Bait and switch tactics

Salesman keep pushing wrong car and kept me waiting all day while he "worked on financials". When I went to leave, they took an hour getting my car back from the trade-in appraiser.

My very first car!

When I moved to Austin on my own, I knew I needed a car but I had nowhere to start with no car. I had no basic transportation to seek cars. South Hyundai was able to help me by sending Chuy to pick me up from where I live and bring me to the sales centre. With the opportunity given, I was able to drive the selected car that I was anticipating to buy: 2012 Hyundai Accent. I really liked the simplicity of the car and it had what I looked for especially for a college student. I met Patrick Reeb and he was very kind and warming. He was able to accommodate by communicating with me via paper and pen. Chuy and Patrick was able to help to make my first purchase. As the time approached to closing, I needed to make the payment. Patrick helped me by taking me to Wells Fargo but unfortunately it was closed! The sales centre was able to let me ride the car home and allowed me to return on the next day to make my payment. I cannot be more thankful for their trust, time, and patience with me. I am enjoying my new ride! Thanks Chuy and Patrick!

My mom loves her new Sonata!

Helped my mother purchase a new vehicle and recommended South Point to her since I purchased my Jeep from their store. The Hyundai store was just as amazing and easy to deal with! I wouldn't trust my family with any other dealership now.

This is the second car I've purchased with South Point Hyundai. I worked with Patrick Reeb from their Internet Department both times. I'd recommend him to anyone, and even recently sent my co-worker over to him (who also purchased a vehicle with him). He's extremely helpful and informative, but also fun and easy-going. He made my car purchases a breeze. Everyone else I met around there seemed very professional. I'm very happy with this dealership.

Excellent pricing and easy sales process!

I see a lot of old reviews here from 2008 and I can say one thing. This dealership is nothing like that now. I was very pleased when I purchased my Genesis here! The price was agreed upon before I even stepped foot into the dealership and they had my car clean and ready to go along with the paperwork when I arrived. This was probably the fastest easiest car purchase that I've made in years! I've purchased many cars in the past and this is by far the easiest and most straight forward process that I've been involved in. Go see Ilya K. there, I highly recommend him!

bamboozled

The price agreed upon was not the price sold to me as. The real price was buried under explanations and when revealed and inquired about was explained away. I still came up 400.00 ripped off by dealership. How does that happen? Watch closely as the hand is quicker than the eye. Watch your numbers very closely, very very closely.

Watch Out for Don't Say, Don't Tell

Overall the buying experience was very good with the exception of not informing me of the +400 miles on the car. I noticed the mileage on the mileage acknowledgement form and raised the question of why? I should have been informed on the mileage verbally at the start of the transaction, not when I found it on one of the many forms being completed. After several false story starts, I was told that the car was driven round trip to Houston by staff. The staff was most cordial and I judged that I was given a competitive price for the vehicle.

No Gimmicks

Got a great price online. Expected a gotcha somewhere in the process. Jason honored the price quote to the penny and then some. No gimmicks or surprises in the whole process. I've purchased over a dozen new cars and this was the best experience I ever had. The whole staff was truly anxious to please. Great car, Great experience, Great price!

Ended up better than we dreamed

Went to check out the new Genesis Coupe, but didn't really find THE ONE, so about to leave when Jeff suggested at least looking at the 2012 Sonata. Not impressed with the low power of the 4 cyl., we tried the new Sonata limited Turbo, and WOW, this car has it all. My only negative comment was the extremely long time it took to get the deal done. We got the deal, but I wasn't crazy about taking 8 hours to complete the deal, although in all fairness, we did leave quite satisfied. If you can find the Turbo charged Sonata Limited, I can promise you will be very impressed. I have had follow-up calls to be sure I was completely satisfied and to offer help if I need any further assistance.

Great Buying Experience

My salesman (Chuy) was new but very helpful and had very good product knowledge. He did a great job of demostrating the vehicle and its three models within the class. He was empathetic and asked questions important to us both in determining my needs, which ultimately led to finding the right vehicle for me. I was eventually introduced to the sales manager who was professional, respectful and offered to allow me to take the vehicle home overnight to show to my wife. That, and his assistance with working out the selling price sealed the deal.

Got screwed over

Well, during the course of one year, there is me and 4 other people I know about who got screwed by Southpoint in South Austin. That manager got fired, and it is under new management, and they are taking no responsibility. We had a written agreement, stating the alignment was checked and new tires were put on on my '06 Santa Fe. Well, less than one year later we're moving back to California and come to find out, not only did they put OLD tires on the car that are completely worn down now, but the alignment is slightly off AND they did not even give us the lug nut key to take the last bolt off the tires! What is we broke down somewhere? We'd be screwed since we couldn't change tires! Well we went to the dealership, and not only did they state that since they are under new management that they are not liable, they will not replace the tires, check the alignment, show us the contract, and stated that they even do not have the lug nut key so they will break the bolt and that's it! And even now, with 5 days until we have to leave, they are saying they don't have enough bolts so they won't even break and replace the key bolts! So how the hell are we supposed t ever change a tire? POOR service when we first got the car, I was pregnant and in there fighting with them for 7 hours, and even the guy screwed up the paperwork twice, trying to put a higher value. This place truly isn't worth the effort.

A Welcome Change

I recently purchased a Hyundai Sonata at South Point Hyundai. I was fearful of purchasing a car after 10 years or being out of the market. I have been to a few other dealerships before making my way there. I didn't like the usual tactics of being pressured and telling me that If I leave the dealership the price will no longer be honored. So I took myself out of buying a car for a few months because of my fustration. Well time passed and I needed a car. I stopped by South Point ready to get the usual run around again. I met with Patrick and he made my first visit very informative and enjoyable. The guy knew his stuff. I told him I needed to take my time and make sure I was making the right decision. I was not pressured at all and was very surprised about that. A few days later I returned and they were straight foward with no smoke and mirrors. They made the transaction very easy and before I knew it I was driving away in my new car. What I like the most is that my salesman has kept in contact and made sure I am a happy owner.

Rude Sales Manager and committed fraud to sale me a car

I was promised when I made the deal to buy my Santa Fe a cargo cover, by the salesman, who said he had ordered it. I find out later he was fired and that is why I have received no calls. I then have tried multiple times for weeks to contact the sales manager to ask what happened and have not received a returned call. What a joke, make a deal as part of buying your car and then they wont talk to you or follow up on their end. I may lose my cargo cover, but I will make sure noone buys a car from them that I know again. You would think the sales manager would have enough respect to try to follow up with a customer. I would not buy a car from them or trust a thing out of their mouth.

Total Insult Buying from Them

I found my experience at South Point Hyundai to be a total insult. I requested a no hassle bottom line price which they gave me but when I started to leave to continue shopping they started their cheap tactics to attempt to get me to stay and buy their cars. Their sales manager interfered when he saw his very nice sales person was getting nowhere and totally insulted me with the "were giving you this car at invoice". Give me a break, this is the oldest trick in the books. Dealers do not pay invoice for their cars otherwise why would they sell them with absolutely no profit at invoice price? When I told the dealer this he looked me and accused me of calling him a lier and ordered me out of his store to take my business somewhere else. I did. Sadly they had the lowest price and would have had the sale if the arrogant sales manager had kept his mouth shut and not insulted a customers intelligence with cheap high pressure sales tactics. I wonder how it felt to have $16,000 walk out the door. I would not buy from this place again and not recommend them.

E.Gomez was a great salesperson. What I liked about him was that he wasn't overbearing and I didn't feel pressured to buy. The guy knew his stuff in regards to the cars performance and specifications along with the "leading" cars performances and specifications. The staff at Soutpoint were nice.. nice as in "welcoming." I didn't get the nice as in they have to be because they want your money. That was refreshing. I like my car.
