Disrespectul, deceitful dealership

I saw an online ad for an older Toyota Corolla and made an appointment to test drive it. When I got there, I found that the car was completely mislabeled online, for ex: the ad said the car was a manual transmission, it was an automatic, the ad said it had a CD player, that player was broken. The car wasn't even cleaned when I got there and the salesman told me that it hadn't been through their service department yet. They just got the car and threw it straight online trying to flip it. HERE's where things get BAD. The car drove alright and me and the salesman, Bob Nadeau, agreed on a price on the condition that I could have it inspected before money went through. He agreed and told me that their service department would look at it and if there were major problems they didn't want to fix, the deal would be off. The next day, Bob called me and said everything was fine, I called Auto PI and they went out and found serious problems with the transmission, $1,500 repair at best, several thousands at worst. When I called Bob Nadeau back, he wouldn't even acknowledge the problem and said "we sell old cars as is," never mind the fact that his service department was supposed to catch such a big problem and call of the deal once they found it. So when I expressed frustration and told him that I felt his dealership had wasted my time and the money I paid to have the car inspected he hung up on me. Such childish behavior. So at best, this place is incompetent, and at worst they're flat out thieves. STAY AWAY!

2014 Cadillac CTS luxury

Everything was done efficiently, and all explanations were concise. Everyone made the process as quick as possible. I’m very appreciative at the initiative taken by the staff. Unfortunately, the same night of purchasing my car, there was a sound coming from the front left tire. I suspect it’s uneven treading on the tire, and hopefully not needing an alignment. I’m at the dealership right now as I write this this getting it checked on. Still wasn’t a bad experience though, although the excitement of a newer vehicle quickly dissipated to concern when something so distracting is happening the moment you leave the lot. Good folks at the dealership in sales, I hope to experience the same from service when they get back with my car.

My experience with Tim Elliot has been awesome. He has answered all the questions I have had and hasn’t ran from the task of helping me with purchasing the truck I’m after. Which speaks volumes considering I’m active duty military stationed in England and trying to have a truck purchased prior to me moving back to the states in July. His dedication to Covert Ford will defiantly make the transition back to the US much easier for my family and me. Most dealerships wont even get back to me when contacting them explaining to them my situation. Tim got back with me within an hour and was eager to help with making sure I was taken care of.

Working with Ron was pretty easy, he answered all my questions on the product itself and we negotiated openly and honestly. Also, Ron took the time to walk me through my new truck and showed me some pretty cool features that I was not aware of. Most importantly the text to voice feature so i could hear text while I'm driving and not have to handle my phone.

Excellent sales staff — horrendous garage/service management

Thorne Smith is an excellent salesman and a straight shooter. However, Covert's garage staff are incredibly inefficient workers, who kept me waiting for 4+ HOURS to take home the car I'd just purchased. Communication throughout the dealership is practically non-existent: I was repeatedly sent to wait in the lounge, where no one knew what I was waiting for, who to call for updates, or when anything would be finished. 3) Supply chain logistics are astonishingly poor: I have been waiting more than a WEEK for parts to arrive, which I was told would be installed within two days of my purchase. Again, I have a lot of respect for Thorne, but the garage and supply chain departments SERIOUSLY need some new management to give them a kick in the pants.
