Dishonest people. Typical used car salesmen.

by EastTXJR on 04/12/2018

My wife and I are from the Canton area. We drove to Dallas that day to look at 3 Grand Caravans, the first was going to be at Cransh. We were set to arrive at 6:30 and called to make sure they were open. They closed at 6 (our fault for not checking. most dealerships are open until 8 or 9), but after talking to Ernest about the specific vehicle we had our sights on and that we had cash with us, he told us he couldn’t wait but that we could come tomorrow morning. We had babysitting for our kids so we got a hotel near Cransh and came back in the morning, met Ernest, test drove the vehicle, loved it and told him we wanted to buy it, AT WHICH POINT he told us about someone from Oklahaoma had put a deposit on it 2 days earlier and was driving down to pick it up, and offered to show us other cars. I was livid. After declining and leaving the dealership, he texted us telling us that on Monday (this was Friday) he would look for cars for us within our criteria and price point and let us know what he found. We consented. The following Friday rolled around without a word from him so I texted him about it. He texted back saying that Mr. Cransh was at the auction now and he’d let him know to look for one. 4 DAYS went by without a word; I texted him and let him know how I felt about how he did business, and that we would not be buying from them, and that we would be letting our friends know about our experience. So, there ya go. Now you know. I was told these people were different, but from everything we experienced, these guys are a lemon. They are the kind of people that give the phrase "used car salesmen" a bad name. Where do you go these days to avoid typical used car salesman???? Someone please tell me.

Used Lemon

by HonestPolicy on 08/14/2017

Sales kid was ok. Bought a Honda. We were told what was replaced. Test drove the vehicle, it seemed to be in good running condition for a spare vehicle. For Cransh having a mechanic, they are not very through. 2 days later we drove to Dallas from ft worth. On way back had issues. Motor mount broke and vehicle shook like crazy on the fwy. Tires not balanced & needed to be aligned. Today had to replace a vacuum hose. Explaines why engine shook & rattled when accelerated. We thought it was out of timing when we took in in to be serviced. $800 later. Good pricing, have your mechanic check before you purchase. Thankful we weren't driving it back to Arizona.

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE

by Kato1973 on 08/11/2017

Where do I start? I found a very nice car at a fair (although not an especially good) price online. Drove 3 hours to see it and bought it. Noticed a few things as I was there. One is the CarFax said it had pinstripes applied at one point. No pinstripes. (Was told they "washed off") Next. The passenger door handle was not secure. (was told the plastic cover popped off). Examination by a mechanic revealed the entire handle had been ripped off and then glued back on when the car was painted....pause. Long story short my new car with a perfectly clean carfax had been sold to Cransh with $6500 of hail damage. The hood and trunk have been replaced with rotten aftermarket parts and the entire car has been ruined with a low-buck, poorly applied paint job. The whole thing was a sham. From the carfax through the sale. So I guess I'm left with zero option but to contact an attorney and go down that route.

Do NOT Buy a car here!

by melanie35 on 05/25/2016

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! Nothing but trouble since the day we bought. Check engine light when off on the way home from dealer. Paid them $500 to put in auto windows. They have never worked and they broke the door locks in the process. Car needed $700 worth of work additionally and recalls were never done. Buyer beware!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!

by hammerstrike on 03/31/2016

BUYER BEWARE!! I bought my son a Jeep last weekend and was totally rooked by the sales team. I called to make sure that the Jeep was in good shape before driving from Houston to purchase. I was assured by Ricky that everything was great and that they had inspected everything, performed maintenance and even replaced the head and all gaskets. Ricky assured me that we would have no problems driving it back to Houston as it was good for at least another 100K miles. I fell for it, I'm a sucker. I have had the Jeep for 5 days and this is what I have had to have repaired: - upper AND lower ball joints on both sides - all 4 shocks - Front brake caliper (this was not even attached!!! just floating on the disk as the bolt holes were stripped out) - steering stabilizer - radiator hose - coolant flush (this looks like it has NEVER been changed) As far as I can tell, there has been NO maintenance done on this Jeep in a very long time. It's a matter of time as to what I'm going to replace next. Please do not make the same mistake I did and purchase a car from these guys.

Consumer Alert: Beware of misleading representation

by consumeraler1 on 03/12/2016

Rather than share my opinion about Cransh, I will describe my experience with them and let the reader decide whether or not they want to patronize this business. The events below are depicted exactly as they occurred, with as little bias as possible, in an effort to present factual information. As a car buyer, I was attracted to Cransh based on the tremendous inspection and mechanic service they advertise as part of most vehicles on their lot. I browsed their website for a couple of weeks and noticed virtually every car had valuable service performed as part of getting the vehicle ready for sale. In fact, they often included pictures of the empty boxes of the parts that were installed on a particular vehicle. Based on this, Cransh was able to differentiate themselves from their competition; thus, I decided to visit their dealership in person. As part of my visit, I met a salesman, Miguel, who was very courteous and helpful. I looked at a few vehicles and sure enough the empty boxes of the parts they had installed were in the trunks, just like the pictures. He reinforced multiple times the valuable mechanic service that Cransh provides. I was not able to locate a vehicle that day; however, the salesman (Miguel) shared his contact information with me and told me to stay in contact and keep looking at Cransh’s website. Over the course of a few weeks, I stayed in contact with Miguel, and based on our conversations to determine the type of vehicle I was looking for, he was able to locate a vehicle at auction that met my specifications. Cransh acquired the vehicle and allowed me to come to the dealership to purchase the vehicle without them even offering it for sale on their website or to other customers. As part of my visit to view the vehicle and make my purchase decision, the salesman I had been working with, Miguel, informed me that Cransh had performed valuable mechanic service to prepare the vehicle for sale, which would be “very expensive” if performed elsewhere. Also, the inside of the vehicle had more than 20 empty parts boxes as proof that the valuable service had been performed. The salesman, Miguel, emphasized those empty boxes as a testament to the value added to the vehicle by Cransh. Based on this, and Cransh’s reputation for tremendous mechanic service, I was able to reconcile paying a price higher than my personal expectation. Prior to moving forward with the purchase, the salesman (Miguel) graciously allowed me to view underneath the vehicle using a hydraulic lift and also speak to the mechanic that performed the service. I asked the mechanic to show me some of the new parts that were installed, and I even called specific attention to ones based on the empty parts boxes that I noted, in an effort to learn more about the vehicle I was about to purchase. As part of this process, the mechanic was very honest and called attention to several parts that were not actually replaced/installed despite having an empty box for each part in the car. I inquired about all of the empty parts boxes in the back of the vehicle and was told that those were for another vehicle and not the one I was about to purchase. At this point, the general manager was summoned, and he was very courteous and truly sought to understand my disappointment after feeling misled. He assured me that the situation was an honest mistake by the employees that are responsible for putting the parts boxes in the car; however, he could not offer an explanation for why the salesman, Miguel, oversold the amount of service that was actually done. Based on this, I informed him that I could no longer pay the price that was being asked because their asking price contemplated valuable service beyond what was actually performed. I confirmed with the general manager that Cransh only performed a brake job, repainted the front bumper, changed the spark plugs, the air filter, and a few other minor parts, which represented a fraction (less than 50%) of the value of what I was told had been performed in the way of mechanic service (i.e. new water pump, new engine mount, new serpentine belt, gasket replacement – all of which had an empty part box in the car). The general manager then consulted with the owner based on my request for a revised price. The general manager returned and offered to take $200 (approximately 2% of the sale price) off the price of the vehicle. I declined this offer and was in the process of communicating my desired offer with the general manager when the salesman, Miguel, interrupted the conversation and stated that I was “making a scene” inferring that I had no basis to be disappointed in my experience at Cransh. The salesman, Miguel, also reinforced that the vehicle would easily be sold to another buyer at the original asking price. Once I heard that, I shook the general manager’s hand to express my appreciation to him for attempting to resolve the situation and then walked out.

Terrible dealer!

by KArtice on 06/05/2015

Have had a terrible experience with Cransh. I purchased a Toyota Tacoma from them a little less than a year ago. The transaction and test drive went very well without a hitch. It wasn't until I tried to get a couple of miscellaneous parts (promised and signed for) from them for the Tacoma that I realized how big [non-permissible content removed] they are. I eventually got them to send one part to me after about 9 months of calling them and asking for it. The other item I was promised have yet to show up!!! I have since sold the Tacoma (minus the parts they owed me) and given up on trying to get them. I am currently in the market for another vehicle and noticed that they had one I was interested in. I called about the vehicle and inquired about the price only to be told that the price was "firm" and that it was that price because of all the money they spent on maintenance. I pointed out that the vehicle was listed at more than $1,500 more than both KBB and NADA blue books. I was quickly told to have a nice day and they hung up. Do not deal with [non-permissible content removed] if you can help it. Not recommended whatsoever.

Great Customer Service!

by TheWheelers on 06/11/2013

My Husband & I were searching for a vehicle for our daughter. After looking at some pre-owned lots and searching the internet, I ran across the make/model of the vehicle we were looking for online at auto trader, for sell by Cransh Auto Sales. My husband called in the late evening (around 9pm) on a Monday and left a message. To our surprise, Ricky called us right back! Our conversation with him was unlike any we had experienced with other dealers: he answered all of our questions, was very informative about the vehicle and was not at all pushy to make the sale. We appreciated the honest, straight forward approach he had without the “games” we were getting at the other dealers. I will mention though there was no need to haggle over the price. The vehicle we were interested in was a Toyota RAV4. The amount we wanted to spend equaled around a 2007-2008 model everywhere else. Cransh was listing a 2011 model with the same options and less mileage than what we were finding elsewhere! And it was a 4WD! I can not stress this enough…We are NOT the type of people to purchase a vehicle online, sight unseen. However, Cransh is located over 250 miles from us. Because of the 25+ pictures listed, the straightforward, honest approach Ricky had, the reviews I read online of Cransh, and the free carfax report they offered right on the vehicles ad, we decided to move forward. We purchased the vehicle the next day (Tuesday), and it was delivered on Wednesday. They even waived the delivery fee! I will admit I was a nervous wreck until I actually saw the vehicle, but it was exactly what they advertised. The vehicle was very clean, in almost new condition, even the floor mats were covered in plastic. The tires & belts were in excellent condition as was the overall condition of the vehicle including the body, no dings, dents or major scratches. In fact I only found one scratch below the rear bumper. The only flaw I could find was the antenna was missing, but because of the new style antennas, I don’t think they realized it (the base part was there that looks like the Sirius antenna). I had it a week before noticing, and it was an easy 10.00 replacement part for the mast at the local auto parts store. I would highly recommend Cransh Auto Sales for buying a preowned vehicle. This was without a doubt the easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made! Their no-pressure approach, better than reasonable price, and honesty made this purchase go from a dreaded experience to a pleasure. Thank You Cransh and Ricky, you have made our daughter very happy (and us too). She now has a newer vehicle than we expected to be able to buy, with low miles, and that we feel will be dependable and safe and all for price that exceeded our expectations! The Wheelers
