Never ever Nissan Pollock

by Aggie828 on 05/21/2018

Bought Nissan Versa with extra warranties and GAP insurance in 2016. Salesmen promissed everything is through Nissan Corporation...February 2018 got in accident, car got totaled. Well then we found out that everything is through another companies and we have to deal with all separetly...ok... so we contacted the Financing Department for the loan, the GAP insurance for the GAP coverage and Nissan Pollock for the reminding warranties refund. We got the payoff from the insurance and the GAP already in April, now today is exatly 3 months since the accident happend and Pollock still doesn't feel like send the refund check to Nissan Financing. First they said, they sent it on April 3rd, then when I complaint at the corporation, they told them they will send it same day (May 10th), today is the 21st....still nothing...I filed complain at the BBB maybe that will help....one thing is sure, never ever Nissan Vehicle, never ever by Nissan Pollock and I will keep everyone I know away!!!!

Outstanding Experience

by Theist on 03/03/2015

I hate car shopping. Really, I would rather go to the dentist than car shop. Unfortunately, due to an unobservant truck, I found I needed to get a car quick. I identified 3 cars in a 75 mile radius that met my requirements and visited 2 other dealerships in New Jersey prior to my visit to this dealership in PA. The NJ visits were not pleasant experiences. The first dealership wouldn't give me a price!!! They just told me a monthly payment with no details or finance info. I asked for an explanation and was only told 60 months. Yes, I walked out. Salesman had the nerve to call the next day to see if I was still interested. Yeah, this was the guy I had to explain his own certified used program to. The 2nd dealership said the car was certified used but I could tell during the test drive that it needed brakes. The CarFax for the vehicle didn't show any reconditioning either and there was something funky about the mileage. The clincher was that they used photos from when they first resold the vehicle 9 months earlier (the photo of the odometer reading was the give away). Condition was not as depicted. I obeyed my gut and didn't go with this car either. I should not get only 3 hours sleep worry about a car. I contacted Ken Pollock Nissan via email and received an out-the-door price the same day. Car was priced 2k below Edmunds True market value (ok, so it was a Cube which people either love or hate. I love it because you don't feel like you are in a little car (over 6ft?, try one), you get great mileage, and there is enough room to fit my gear for the once a year camping trip). Even discounting the "love/hate" factor, it was still priced well. CarFax showed the car had been dealer maintained and all the reconditioning done prior to offering it for sale. I had been already approved by Nissan for a loan and knew the interest rate going in ready to do battle. No need. I was treated very well. I knew the price and all fees. They were exactly as emailed. The finance department actually was able to get me an even better interest rate through another bank. Every step was explained, nothing was questionable. I was not in the dark about any anything and every question I had was answered clearly and directly. Yep, I left with a car that day. In the end, I got the car I wanted (well, if it was red it would have been perfect) for a good price with a 3 year warranty (got to love Nissan's Certified Used program!), and I FELT CONFIDENT that I got a reliable vehicle. No 2nd guessing my decision, it FELT right. So, if you are car shopping, do your research, and if you are shopping for a Nissan, its worth the drive to visit Ken Pollock Nissan. You will get a good night's sleep afterward. I got a full 8 hours after my purchase :)

They didn't even deserve one star.

by gavin68 on 12/08/2012

I took my Maxima to this dealership for diagnosis for stalling in idle. When I dropped it off, I wrote on the slip that it was probably a faulty ignition coil or a bad MAF. Turns out it was both. But, I only learned this after I had to do the repair myself. This dealership accomplished nothing. They lost my keys and the paperwork. They told me they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it (but what REALLY happened was they didn't care.) But, that's not even the best part. When I went to pick it up and take it somewhere more competent, the engine was running horribly and the car was shaking violently. It turns out the "mechanic" ran it with two ignition coils DISCONNECTED. These people are downright stupid. Don't trust your car repairs to them. They are either very lazy, or very stupid. But either way, STAY CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP. I wouldn't imagine their sales department to be any better.
