Don't believe them....

Contacted the dealership regarding a Subaru that I found on CarGuru. Contacted them on Monday and said I could only be down on Friday, 11/4/16. I was paying cash and I was told by email and by text that they will have the car ready for me with a "VIP Appointment". The last text I received was this morning, 11/4, saying everything was a go. I get to the dealership (21 miles away) and was told the car was sold yesterday. A real waste of time and gas for a "bait and switch" deal. I also received a voicemail last night (11/3) saying the car would be ready for me today.

Nice Recovery

Lauretta Kerber and the rest of the staff are fantastic!..after electrical issues with the 2008 Pontiac my daughter just bought, she helped us cut our losses and got her into a new Mitsubishi Mirage!...she couldnt have been more helpful, TY Lauretta!

2016 Outlander Sport SE

Paula, is a pleasure to work with all the way around from helping me to decide on every aspect of the car. She explained what all the paperwork meant, also helped me keep within my price range. She wanted to make sure I got the best of all worlds with her vast knowledge of all the products offered, making sure I even chose the coverage best suited for me. She called me the next day to make sure the ride home was comfortable since it's approximately 1.5 ,hrs to get there. Well worth the drive! I love the car, and will recommend to anyone who inquires to take a ride out to Irwin, make it a day trip and also discover the town. But make the trip to discover a sales team that makes you feel like family.

More than worth the long drive!

We drove from the panhandle of WV for a used car at Jim Shorkey and it was worth it in every way. Kim Johnson our sales professional was outstanding! Helpful, and super nice. The price we paid for our car was BELOW market and the car has exceeded my expectations. Cannot thank the entire staff enough for everything, what a great car-buying experience!

Perfect vehicle, great price, nice honest people

My husband & I don't have great credit, but they made sure we got our 1st choice vehicle for a reasonable price. We had a great experience, I highly recommend them to anyone! Everyone we dealt with was nice, professional & extremely helpful (especially the salesperson Sara & the financial pro Suzie). Sara really listened to us and wasn't condescending or pushy like salespeople sometimes are

Great Experience! So happy with our new 2016 Outlander!

My wife and I recently bought a 2016 Outlander and it was a great experience! Gilly the sales agent was attentive to my concerns and questions. She got us a great deal and the finance department got us a great rate for our loan. They were very patient with us and worked and reworked out the numbers with several different scenarios so that we could decide which fit our budget best. If you are in the market for a larger CUV, I would highly recommend the 2016 outlander. It is an amazing car for the price and you cant beat the lifetime powertrain that comes with it at Shorky's.

Best Car Buying Experience EVER

I am someone who loves to buy a new car and this was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had! Gillian Kuchma is the best sales person, she did not put any pressure on me to buy, but in stead got me excited about the Lancer I was looking at and really made my experience a fun one! Every person I met a Jim Shorkey was kind and informative, and I look forward to servicing my car there. I would highly recommend this dealer ship ( go see Gilly, she is the BEST) to anyone looking for a new Mitsubishi!!

So Far Looks Good

Purchased last week. Had a long wait to get paper and vehicle review, when the salesman had another customer, but the staff stayed late to get it done. Everyone was very polite and the salesman was enthusiastic and attentive during the shopping process. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get my color choice because there weren't any in stock and it would have to be driven from out of town and would comprise mileage and warranty? I settled for black that they drove in about 200 miles away. So Far everything looks good, I have had great success with the Mitsubishi Galant and I am enjoying my Outlander SE.

Like the car. Didn't like the buying process.

We were told that the bigger engine on the Outlander (2.4) was only $500 than the 2.0. Later we find out that the rebates were also $500 less on that vehicle. So we now have a $1000. difference. We were never told that the 0% financing was instead of rebates (an either or option) until after we had filled out all the financials. Also, and the worst in my opinion, was since we were spending $1000 more than planned, if they would "throw in" mudflaps. We were told "no problem". The next day when we looked at the paperwork, our free mudflaps cost us $199. I called the salesman right away and told him we never authorized $200 mudflaps. He said it was a "misunderstanding" and we would get a refund, either from the dealership or him. Needless to say, we got nothing. The whole process took 3 days and 8 hours. They seemed somewhat disorganized and unprepared.

Luv My Outlander Sport !!

After a lot of research, we recently bought a new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport at Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi in Irwin. We had compared several dealerships and believe that Jim Shorkey offers the best deal. We feel that we were treated fairly and with professionalism. Richie Hendrix, our sales rep, was very helpful throughout the process. He is very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information with us while assisting us in making our decision. There was no high pressure sales or games. He simply provided the information we needed to make the right choice. The hardest decision we had to make was what color to choose. Thanks.

Customer Satisfaction Pledge?????????

There is no line of communication after the sale,so if you buy from them be sure to get everything in writing!We purchased a 2015 Outlander Sport in July of 2014 and there are still issues that they won't address!They don't return E-mails and treat you with total indifference when face to face.So "Buyer Beware" This is one UN-unsatisfied customer!

No attention to detail

I went in to Jim Shorky Ford on a Monday afternoon, I made an appointment with Chris for 3:30 and when I arrived she was busy and I was helped by Justin who was relatively new. He was a nice enough guy but didn't know anything about the Ford Explorer, which is what I was interested in, we had to figure out how to start it. After that Liz took over the sales process, she was nice and seemed to try to get me what I wanted for my trade. The whole sale process took 4 1/2 hours and at one point I asked her if she would help my set up my phone in the vehicle before I left and she said sure. There was a small scratch in the clear coat that I noticed during the test drive, even though the vehicle was really dirty. She made sure that was taken care of when they cleaned it up. When the vehicle was done and delivered it had gotten dark and Justin put my plate on and I left. I was almost 2/3 the way home when I realized I had no lights on after being flashed by others. I then realized that I didn't know how to turn them on so I had to find a place to pull over and find the switch. I had driven Chevrolets for a long time and never had to turn lights on.The next day I received an email from Liz congratulating me on my new Explorer purchase and it said if I had any questions to call her or reply to the email. I tried to call her twice but was told that she was with a customer so I replied to the email. I wrote that I needed to find a shorter antenna because mine hit the garage opening every time I pull in or out. I then sent another email to her a while later about the headlight situation and mentioned that I had heard lot of bad things about the tires Ford puts on the Explorer Limited. There was no response to either of these emails or 2 others that I sent to Justin or Anthony and again I tried to call but could get no one on the phone, They were either busy or not in so I pretty much gave up.After 4 days I received an email from FordQuickTouch@researchhq.com requesting me to take a survey about my buying experience at Jim Shorky Ford. First off my name was spelled wrong in the letter heading and after no responses for 4 days I let them have it. I figured if they wanted a good review they should have made an effort to earn one. Absolutely no attention to detail here at all.I found time to was the vehicle the following weekend and found numerous paint defects, there were 3 places on the hood that did not shine like the rest and was noticeable. There was a small area on top of the passenger side fender that had discoloration in the paint, it was almost see through. I called and asked for the body shop and talked to man named Duane and made an appointment to meet with him that afternoon. He looked at the vehicle and agreed that they were factory defects and asked at the desk what he should do. The fender problem is under the clear coat and requires repainting the fender, this Explorer Limited has less that 150 miles on it and it requires paint. They said he would have to take pictures and send them to Ford for a decision, I thought, are you kidding me. Duane was a really good service provider and has a great attitude and attention to detail towards the customer. He called me back to tell me that Ford gave him permission the repair my defects and would call me back in a couple days to schedule the time to bring it in. During this time I received the official Ford survey to complete which I did and being that I was upset about the vehicle and the dealership I told the truth just like it happened. I received another call from Duane and he said Ford would let him fix my defects but that I would not be provided with a loaner car because they don't provide them for things like this. We all know that is not true and I figure this is because I gave them a bad customer satisfaction survey which they deserved, now more than ever. I will have to take 2 days off work so they can repair a paint job that quite frankly should have been found somewhere between the factory and delivery long before it ever got to me. The others that I was involved with at this dealership are severely lacking in attention to detail both during and after the sale. They will promise a lot and deliver the bare minimum if that. I would not recommend this dealership to others and suggest that if you want a true pleasurable buying experience that you look else ware. This was a large purchase and it left a very bad taste in my mouth, I will try to enjoy this vehicle anyway and all my service will be else ware.
