2/26/2013 Picked up my car at Larry Miller Honda. This is my 5th car purchase, and by far my smoothest experience. I came in at the agreed upon time (5 p.m. after work) with my wife, and Darren D went over the Costco discounted price with me as he previously did. He honored a discount, meeting me half way with a competitive bid from another dealer. I found out later most dealers will advertise at a low price which does not include pre-installed equipment or accessories. The did the regular extended warranty sales pitch, which I passed. However I picked up the 5-year body paint warranty for $450 which allows me to have unlimited dings and scratches fixed at no additional cost. I also picked up a 5-year service contract for $375 which includes 3 lube and services per year. Since the Civic now takes only synthetic oil, I figured that cost is almost worth the cost of synthetic oil alone. All the extras were explained to us very clearly, once with little to no pressure; after which the financing piece took 10 to 15 minutes, since I knew how I wanted to finance it before hand. While they took my care in to be coated with paint protection, Darren walked me through the car and its electronic features and answered all my questions thoughtfully. By 6:30 pm my wife felt comfortable enough to leave for home to prepare dinner. Had she waited a little longer we would have went home together. 6:55 pm I was easing my new car to the main street on my way home. I cannot recommend Larry Miller Honda of Hillsboro highly enough. You have to experience it yourself. If you have the chance to deal with Darren D, he's the niciest auto sales manager I've met. I'm keeping his business car snug in my Honda info pouch.
Original Review - I went through the Costo Auto Program, and Darren D. was assigned to handle my inquiry. After my test drive, I told him I need to check out the Ford Focus SE Hatchback, although he was disappointed, he understood the 'edge' Focus hatchback has over Civic. When I left he willingly handed me a full brochure of the 2013 Civic. I had gone to 3 dealerships in a quest of my new car, and all did not follow Costco's guidelines, only this dealership did. Plus, Darren D. put me totally at ease, and gladly answered my questions. He exercised professionalism by not 'blowing' up when I was on the fence, and understood the competition out there.
