duped

I purchased a new 2020 Camry from this dealership in 3/2020. I specifically wanted an AWD and the salesman assured me that the car that I was buying was one. I even asked them to price match a car that was on sale at a dealership in Columbus and they did. Unfortunately, that was AWD but the one that I purchased was front wheel drive. I found out the hard way when my wife got stuck in the snow this winter. I went back to the dealership and told them they had misrepresented the car they sold me They offered to buy back the car and sell an AWD camry instead. I was open to it. Their offer to buy back the car was $268 less than the offer from Carvana and they came down on the price of the new car a little bit for a total difference of $8300 thanks also to a rebate from Toyota. Instead, I offered to purchase a winter tire and wheel package from them at full price and pay for swapping the wheels twice a year. I asked if they can just store the wheels to make up for me being duped and sold an FWD car calling it an AWD. They refused. Looks like they just wanted to make more money swapping my car for a new one. The deal they offered to make it "right", I could have gotten from any dealership basically. Their excuse for not matching the carvana price was that I would save on taxes by selling and buying the car there. I live locally and will never deal with them again. I will also make it a point to spread this information of how I was duped even though it is very embarrassing for me so people know not to deal with them.

New car purcha

I dealt with a sales consultant I had purchased a vehicle from before, Peter Eaglowski. I requested his assistance because I felt he dealt fairly, answered all questions, did not pressure. Peter was patient, and was more than willing to show me all vehicles I was interested in, explaining all the differences, which was extremely helpful in helping me decide on my vehicle. We were able to deal with each other.

2011 Tundra

Brandon Greene worked with me from beginning to end on my purchase of a 2011 Tundra. He worked very hard in locating one in Pennsylvania. He answered all my questions. Offered to take his personal time to help with accessories including coming to my house to drop off my remote start on my vehicle I traded in. Best new car buying experience ever.

I used a car service on line to submit what I wanted to dealers and Brandon at Cain made me the best offer, not only that but when I went in several days later he beat his own offer so that we were able to get a III instead of a II model Prius. He said there were some new incentive offers. He was polite respectful and not high pressure. We were relaxed through out the whole process. We will buy our next car from this dealership and salesman. Buying a new car is like dreading an unknown surgery but it turned out to be just fine. Our purchase was for cash and no trade.

first time new car buyer

my overall new car buying experience has opened my eyes! there truly is the "good and the bad" dealerships and salespeople out there! i did tons of research online here at edmunds (which is a great resource!) as well as other sites along with car makers sites. i initially went to cains to test drive and check out a matrix until the salesman asked me what other cars i was looking at. i told him my list of about 5 cars that i had been considering and have test drove. one was a pontiac vibe which he then told me that the matrix is the same as the vibe which i had already ruled out. he then asked me if i had heard of the scion line? which i had not really checked out. i was at that time pretty set on an chevy hhr. he took me out to see the 08 scion xb and handed me the keys and i took it out for a test drive. a week later i returned to make my final decision between the scion, nissan versa and the chevy hhr. i was a bit surprised upon my arrival at cain toyota when my salesman handed me the keys to an xb with a full tank of gas and told me to just bring it back before they closed that day! that was so convenient because the chevy dealer was 45 min away from cain toyota. that day i was able to make side by side comparisons with the other 2 vehicles. the salesman at cain was so helpful and very easy going. i never felt any kind of pressure whatsoever! he was very polite and answered every one of my questions to his best ability. when i returned that evening with the scion he was not surprised to here i chose that car! then we sat down and went through every option and what i was wanting in a car as far as accessories. approx 3 weeks later my car arrived at the dealership and i picked it up 2 days later. (i did not finance so they did not modify my car until i had paid for it. fair deal!) i have only had the car for a week now but the service so far has been excellent! the parts dept. messed up on ordering my spoiler and rear bumper guard but i took the car home with me since i would return the next week to have a moonroof put in. i will be picking the car up on monday and i cannot wait! my salesman was more upset about the mixup with the parts than i was! he said it made him look bad but i was just glad to finally get a brand new car! i am very satisfied to date with the dealership and the salesman!
