Recommend this dealer? No
I bought a 2007 Chevy Malibu SS a year ago. Shortly after I took it for a routine oil change and was told that the transmission coolant line was leaking. It wasn't covered by the warranty of course. $300.00 to fix. Next the gas gage quit working, again..not covered by the warranty, another $350.00 to fix. Now the transmission is slamming terribly. I took it in to Staffilino's and they spent 20 mins to hook it up to the computer, charged me for 1/2 hour of labor just to tell me nothing was wrong with the car. I noticed it was leaking transmission fluid a few days later. I refuse to take it back to the dealer for service, because they are not trust worthy. I have an appointment with a reliable transmission repair shop this week. I am hoping it is just a line or seal leaking causing the problems. This car is 5 yrs old and only has 50,000 miles on it. I have it serviced reguarlly, and I don't drive it hard. I don't feel I should be having these major problems this soon. And, I feel the dealership should have taken more time to look it over before sending me out on the road, saying "Nothing is wrong". This is the second car I have purchased from this company, but I will say it will be my last purchase! I also feel that GM needs to extend their warranty on the power-tran to 10 yrs. or 100,000 miles.
