Do not come here for service

I just wanted to have my 40k service performed. I informed the service advisor about this, and specifically requested 0W-16 grade and viscosity oil. They asked if I wanted a comp. car wash, to which I denied. Lo and behold when my car comes back, their writeup states 0W-20 oil, and the car was washed and still wet. When questioned on the 0W-20, the SA says I don't know anything, and that's just how the computer prints? Very honest and respectable business here folks!

No Communication, Steals Money

I've been a Tansky customer for a little over six years and will never return for another vehicle again. Please never lease or purchase a vehicle from this location and avoid trading your car in here at all costs. See below for my reasoning. I paid off a lease a few months in advance but then received an email back in October about the dealership buying out leases and used vehicles, so I checked out their selection and decided to move forward with a lease toward a new RAV4. I called Toyota Financial Services and requested a refund for my overpayment and they obliged, letting me know that it would take a few weeks to reach me via check in the mail but it was in process. I moved forward with the RAV4 and that was that. A month later I still hadn't received the check, I called Toyota Financial and they let me know that the dealership didn't pay the full amount of the lease and they kept my money to make up the difference. They then explained that the dealership would have to refund my money because of the shortcoming/end of lease terms. I called the dealership, explained my situation, and was told a manager would reach out to me in a few days. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. I repeated this process three times and still hadn't heard anything, so I got a corporate customer service resolution specialist to forward my issue to one of their corporate team members within the dealership who then reached out to me. After explaining the situation again, she said she'd need to review the lease agreements and would contact me again. After a day or so she reached out and couldn't determine where my overpayment had been made, then got the sales manager, Steve King, to speak with me about it. He was immediately defensive and accusatory saying that they didn't owe me anything, etc. etc. I explained that there was absolutely an amount owed to me, I paid for 36 months and turned it back in for a new lease after 34 and that I can't be charged for something that I didn't even have in my possession. His first reaction was literally "Why would you pay ahead"?. He then went on to say the refund would have to come from Toyota Financial since they provided the payoff quote. I asked if he'd call them with me and he refused saying he would only speak to the same representatives I would. Clearly it was going nowhere, so I said I'd call them again and did. After they told me the same thing, I took things to the Attorney General for mediation since neither party was helping me. Once the mediation began, the story changed to "We've tried explaining equity to this customer multiple times" and that they don't owe me any money, etc. I explained the math, showed them where to find the information I used on their own documents, and then never received a response and they let the mediation fail. I called Toyota Headquarters to escalate the issue and they said they can't do anything other than log a complaint against the dealership. It's been seven months now and I've still not received a dime. This dealership, and Toyota as a whole, is an awful company with no moral integrity and are completely untrustworthy. I legitimately loathe this company and dealership and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Please do not purchase a vehicle with Toyota as they clearly cannot be trusted in the slightest to correct any errors on their end.

Exceptional staff and dealership

I had been researching cars for a few months before deciding test drive them. I was deciding between 3-4 different makes and models. Tansky Toyota was the second dealership I had visited in search of my new car. Immediately walking into the building I was greeted and could already tell that I was going to have a great car shopping experience here. I test drove the RAV 4 and loved it. Before leaving for the test drive, the car salesman had went over every feature in the car. I was appreciative since my older car doesn’t have many of the features this new car has. They didn’t have A RAV 4 with features that I wanted in stock due to COVID. Bryan Barrett, one of the sales managers had said that there was one in freight that would hopefully be arriving soon with the features that I was looking for. I loved the car, but wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t have buyers remorse, so I needed to drive the other model that I was considering. I wasn’t pressured into purchasing the car like most dealerships do. I took his business card and test drove the other car the next day. That night, I contacted Bryan and told him I wanted to purchase the RAV 4 that was coming in. He mentioned that the car should get in on Friday, it was Thursday when I reached out. He said he could have the car detailed and ready to go the next day. I was ecstatic. I worked with Bryan to sign and fill out the paperwork on Friday. Bryan made it a very smooth and easy process. He was exceptional to work with and Tansky is lucky to have him. I definitely recommend Tansky to everyone and will be a customer for life. They have great vehicles and even better people.

Woody at Tansky Sawmill Service is Amazing!

communication issue

I feel that the service technician did not check with me during my service appt. I was scheduled to get an oil change - but a complimentary check of all of the car functions was done. This is great - but I would have appreciated being told of the 2 issues that might become a problem. I almost hurt myself when I got in my car - the seats were not placed back to the position I left them in. I am glad I did not hurt myself. The complimentary car wash is a great service - but I would have appreciated being asked if I wanted the car wash done. I might have said no. When I got the car back there were still suds on it. There was still dirt on the hood. I hope this was a brushless car wash. I spent a lot of money to get a new front end - bumper from a Toyota body repair shop. They asked me to]only to use a brushless automatic car wash -- to keep the new paint job I got when it was fixed. I bought the car that I got serviced at the same dealership I purchased the car. I will continue to use the service/repair shop because the person that is in charge of it always gives me excellent customer service when I see him.

Great Service!

Took my 93 Supra in for a checkup and to see if they could fix some minor problems. Not only were they able to address my issues, but they took great care of my classic car. I don’t feel like I’d get that same service at other places, because I haven’t gotten that kind of service from other places that I’ve brought my vehicles to. 10/10, would take my 2JZ back again!

I dropped my car off the night before scheduled service. I was called to discuss repairs and scheduled maintenance before 8am. I was additionally called back at 12 noon as follow up to the earlier call. I missed both calls but the service advisor made clear in the voicemail what was going on with my car and when it would be ready. I appreciate the professionalism and the service provided.

Tire replacement

Tansky continues to impress. I do not live in Columbus but have returned for all my service. Needed tires which I have alway purchased locally. I decided to get tires from Tansky. It was quick, easy, and the best deal hands down. Tansky best the price on the place I’ve gone for 20 years. Not only were the quality of tires great all the extras Tansky provides are huge. Free rotation, two years road side repair and the best mile range??? Great stuff. Thank you Tansky!

I don’t recommend my friends and family.

I have done small repair on my truck, they have very long wait time. Later I found the truck is not repair as is supposed to be. So I have to visit them twice for no reason. They never inspect the work and make sure before they handed to costumer. I ask one of the technicians to fix BSM system but he simply said just turned it off and drive.
