I am writing to relate to you the buying experience that I had at Deacon Jones Dodge. I watched a commercial that gave a front and rear shot of the 2011 Charger. On Tuesday, March 1st. I went to the Dodge showroom. In my hand I had a copy of a window sticker that I printed from the Dodge web site. I had done some research and discovered that the car I wanted was in transit to Hendrick Dodge and had not arrived. When I walked into the dealership I asked to see a sales person, Paula was at the desk and asked if she could help me. I handed her the window sticker and told her that I wanted “that” car. She looked at the paper and took me to her office. She started telling me about some of the new features. I told her that I knew she did not have that car, in fact I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I asked if she could get the car that was on the truck going to Cary. I gave her a business card and told her to get back with me. About 1730hrs she called me and told me that there was not another car like that one for at least a 500 mile radius and that the sales manager was going to see if they could get the car from Hendrick. At 1930hrs the sales manager called me and told me that they were still trying to get the car but was having some difficulty getting Hendrick to let it go. The next day I emailed an offer and my expectations for a price on my trade. The deal was made and I picked up my new Charger Thursday afternoon. I have purchased many cars over the years; the last Chrysler product was a 1980 Dodge Omni that I purchased new. (We will forget about that one) Paula is a plain spoken, down to earth person. She did what appeared to me to be pretty amazing. Together with others on your staff, a car was purchased while it was still on a truck, going to another dealer. The service and personal attention that I received was top notch. The car is amazing. To get this car from a truck to your dealership and into my garage in two days was impressive. I have had sports cars to clunkers in the past 30 years of car buying, I can honestly say that this car is the most fun to drive that I have ever had, and I currently own a Mustang GT, this car will beat that one hands down in all categories. I also own a Cadillac STS V8, yep you guessed it, far more fun to drive than that one. I would like to give Kudos to your staff, especially Paula, I am extremely satisfied with the way I was treated by everyone involved in the deal. This is the first car that I have purchased from you folks, but I can promise you it will not be the last.
