GMC Terrain Repair

I was worried the repair would be bank breaking. It was within reason though! The only downside is that while it was wonderful to have Lift rides scheduled for me to work and back to pick up my vehicle, I wasn't prepared to tip, as I thought it would be a company shuttle. I ended up over tipping due to not having any smaller bills on me. Yay for them. The ride to the office was great. The pick up from the office was scary. The drive immediately told me her father had murdered her mother and her sister had been murdered as well. I was absolutely uncomfortable. I thought...oh God, this woman knows where I work, what has Thompson Buick gotten me into? I tipped well, at least! LOL

Oil change was great but the issue with my transmission is still a problem

Annira was very nice and helpful. The service was quick. Now to the important issue. My only complaint is that I have been having transmission problems for over 40K miles and I still cannot get an answer or a fix from Thompson GMC. I have had it in the service department at least three times and I always get the answer, that there is not a fix or nothing is wrong that they can tell. I have heard from other GMC owners and even got a class action letter from a lawyer about the transmission issues, so I know that they are aware of what I am dealing with on a regular basis. I drive the truck every day and it is absolutely frustrating dealing with the "lurching" and "bumping" that I have to deal with. This is not normal and definitely not something that is normal on a high-end truck. It is actually embarrassing when somebody is riding with me and the transmission bumps and jumps, especially in traffic or accelerating and stopping quickly and then accelerating again. I am sure that the owner of the dealership or somebody important would not have to deal with this very long before it was fixed. It is definitely not helping my opinion of GMC or my suggestion to friends or family to purchase one. I would like this fixed!

Calling for the appointment was simple... The technician taking my call was courteous and responsive.... A convenient time was offered and the appointment was made.. The morning of the appointment the technician greeted me in a professional manner, described what would be done and pointed me to the waiting room.... Within 45 minutes the oil change was complete... No fuss, no muss....

Steven (Sales Manager) took the best care of me from the start. He knew I would driving down from DE and wanted the process to go as smoothly as possible upon my arrival. He was very helpful in my understanding of how things should work when I got there and he and Diana worked in tandem to deliver everything they promised. No changes (hidden fees) to the numbers we discussed prior to my trip and they gave me a great trade value. Steven/Diana/Brian Blair were all the consummate professionals and a pleasure to work with.

Spent months researching, reviewing, and test driving a number of brands and dealers. Decided on the Buick Enclave Avenir. Visited several dealerships and test drove vehicles at each dealership. After negotiating with each dealership, and not revealing what the other dealerships offered, we negotiated the best price from Thompson Automotive Group. Our closing salesperson did a thorough job of explaining every feature on the vehicle in detail, and did it twice.

If anyone is in the car market, I urge you to check out Thompson Cadillac. Its a family owned dealership for over 50 years and its wonderful. My salesman , Ricky was absolutely incredible. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me several options . Butch in finance was awesome to deal with, there was no issues what so ever with the financial part. Everyone was extremely down to earth and had a smile on their faces. I am a customer for life !!!

The dealer who introduced himself, named David, provided wonderful service on 7/25/18. When I brought in a 2015 Buick Encore for a free service under warranty, David was very kind. He clearly explained the status of the car after it was finished and mentioned the one free service left. The Buick was thoroughly inspected (with oil change and tire rotation) in a timely manner. Would fully recommend David and his business!
