Purchased a new car from Town and Country Ford in Charlotte. Sales manager overly pushy. Vehicle tires were overinflated. Vehicle had a fuel tank issue that took the dealership 3 weeks to fix after involving Ford Corporate. The service advisor, Steve Kinslow, did not want to deal with warranty work and ignored the issue for a week until Ford Corporate followed up. He said: "If the car burns down then Ford will replace it". They don't want to do any warranty work on any new vehicles they sale. Service advisor is just a sales guy. Service manager has a high school attitude playing games about service requests instead of helping solve issues. Such a bizzare, dysfunctional, greedy dealership.

Do not trust T&C Ford

Do NOT ever purchase a used vehicle from Town and Country Ford in CLT!!! We purchased a used F150 back in June. We were told our truck was recently serviced and the maintenance was completed. (by salesman Kent) It is a used vehicle and we purchased ALL warranty packages for that very reason. NOW 6 mos later it started having misfire. We take it to our local dealership and are informed by them that it needs $1500+ done in basic maintenance that is not covered by a warranty. They inform us that the vehicle has never been serviced by ANY Ford dealer and still has original spark plugs that were 60k miles over what is recommended by Ford. Our warranty doesn't cover any of the cost because it is "basic maintenance that should have previously been completed". In reaching out to Town and Country Ford they first replied that maintenance and service doesn't include spark plugs or anything engine related unless it drives poorly. They then change their story to Kent never told us it had been serviced or any required maintenance was completed by them. The only thing they do taking in a trade or selling is make sure it passes inspection. They, with a clear conscience sell vehicles knowing we could literally drive it off the lot and have a major problem on the way home. I was specifically told "not our problem it's used". All we wanted was for the recommended scheduled maintenance from Town and Country Ford completed that they previously told us they had done. But no, "not our problem" is the route they are choosing to take. We are now left with nearly 2k of dollars of maintenance expenses. This must all be completed before the warranty we purchased can even be used. I have purchased MANY used vehicles in my life and NEVER in dealing with a large "reputable" dealer have I been bold face lied to. They do not care enough about their customers to take care of them or to tell the truth! They had the car I wanted at what I perceived as a fair price. Salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. The only negative was that if I hadn't educated myself prior to walking on the lot as to what a reasonable interest rate was I would have paid 2 full % points higher than what I ultimately paid. Like when dealing with any other car dealer, you had better done your homework upfront, to fully enjoy their "car buying experience".
